A monitoring device may include a housing with: a first connector that mechanically couples to a baby bottle; and a second connector that mechanically couples to a nipple; a tube having a first opening defined by a first edge proximate to the first connector and a having second opening defined by a second edge proximate to the second connector. Moreover, the housing may include a set of sensors that perform measurements associated with feeding. During operation, the monitoring device may perform the measurements while a baby is performing the feeding, where the measurements are associated with sucking, swallowing and breathing by the baby. Then, the monitoring device may dynamically provide feedback based at least in part on the measurements. For example, the feedback may include: change to the feeding (such as when to dynamically pause the feeding), a change to a size of the nipple or the baby bottle, etc.

Embodiments described herein include a baby bottle with integrated pacifier apparatus and method of use including a substantially elongated baby bottle and nipple mounted assembly which includes a pressure valve mechanism configured to regulate the flow of liquid through the nipple and prevent excess air from being ingested.

A beverage ingredient mixing and dispensing assembly can include an adapter configured for attachment to a beverage container and can include a beverage ingredient receptacle having a piercing assembly configured to pierce a frangible seal of a beverage ingredient cartridge. The piercing assembly can pierce the seal and allow a beverage ingredient from within the cartridge to pass into the beverage container for mixing with a liquid and thereby forming a mixed beverage. A dual chambered receptacle configured to retain a first ingredient and a second ingredient comprises a first portion having a cover and a rupturing member. The receptacle includes a second portion having a cup and a perimeter portion. The second portion is configured to be removably secured to the first portion. The cup is configured to retain the first ingredient. A seal is coupled to first portion and the second portion when the first portion is removably secured to the second portion. The receptacle includes a vessel having a mouth. The vessel is configured to retain the second ingredient. The seal is configured to detach from the second portion to allow the first ingredient to fall into the vessel to mix with the second ingredient when the first portion is moved relative to the second portion.

In one aspect, the present invention is directed to a baby bottle apparatus, comprising: a nipple (11); a liquid container (12); a flexible tube (17) connecting the nipple to the container; a normally-closed valve, for controlling the flow of fluid from the container (12) to the nipple (11); at least one lever (13), for opening the valve for fluid passage from the container to the nipple; thereby allowing a user to control fluid flow from the baby bottle apparatus. Preferably, the mechanism for limiting the distance between the parallel bars comprising a rotatable ring (15) having a different outer diameter therealong, such that a movement of each of the levers (13) is limited by the ring (15).

The invention is directed to an absorbent neck ring for a baby bottle which is disc shaped with an aperture at the center. The ring is fitted to the bottle, preferably with elasticized cotton or other elastic fabric such that the aperture passes over the bottle opening and is secured below the screw fixtures when the cap is attached to the bottle.
