A method of assembling a tapping sleeve includes positioning an outlet band on a pipe element with an arcuate portion of the outlet band contacting an outer surface of the pipe element, the outlet band including a front end, a back end, a first side end, a second side end, a first bend line defined between the first side end and the second side end and extending from the front end to the back end, a second bend line defined between the first bend line and the second side end and extending from the front end to the back end, wherein the outlet band defines an arcuate portion between the first bend line and the second bend line, a first flange defined between the first side end and the first bend line, and a second flange defined between the second side end and the second bend line.

HIGH SECURITY FASTENER WITH EXTERNAL SHROUD RETAINER

An improved fastener comprising a fastener body orientated about a central axis and having a tool-engaging portion, a threaded fastening portion and a shroud-receiving portion; a shroud concentrically mounted in the shroud-receiving portion to rotate relative to the fastener body under an applied external torque and having an outwardly extending annular shoulder; the shroud-receiving portion comprising an inwardly deformed stop radially overlapping the outwardly extending annular shoulder of the shroud; and the deformed stop of the shroud-receiving portion and the annular shoulder of the shroud forming a shroud-retaining element restraining the shroud from movement in at least a first axial direction along the central axis.

Rotation of a medical device during crimping

A medical device includes a balloon expanded scaffold crimped to a balloon catheter. The scaffold has a network of rings formed by struts connected at crowns and links connecting adjacent rings. The scaffold has a polymer coating and is crimped to the balloon. The scaffold is rotated, or allowed to rotate during crimping to improve results from crimping, such as reduced damage to the coating.

Connector assembly

A connector assembly has a pipe, a sealing element, and a plug connector which includes a connector body. The connector body has an annular chamber which is located between a first exterior section and a second exterior section of the plug connector. A connecting section of the pipe is inserted into the annular chamber of the connector body from the pipe receiving side and is connected thereto. The connecting section of the pipe includes a fastening recess and a seal receptacle which are incorporated in a circumferential surface of the pipe, the seal receptacle being structurally separated from the fastening recess. The first or the second exterior section is deformed in the region of the seal receptacle in such a way that the sealing element is pressed between the first or second exterior section and the seal receptacle.

METHODS FOR MODELING TUBING RUNS

A method comprises securing a first component of a lockable adjustment assembly to an end A of a first rigid tube via a first releasable coupling assembly. The method also comprises securing a second component of the lockable adjustment assembly to an end C of a second rigid tube via a second releasable coupling assembly. Further, the method comprises moving the first component and the second component, loosely coupled with each other, relative to each other with only three degrees of freedom to position the first rigid tube and the second rigid tube in a selected orientation with respect to each other. The method also comprises, with the first rigid tube and the second rigid tube in the selected orientation relative to each other, locking the lockable adjustment assembly so that the first component and the second component have zero degrees of freedom relative to each other.

High Pressure, Large Inner Diameter Hose Coupling With Termination Attachment

A hose coupling for attachment to an end portion of a hose. The hose coupling may include a fitting, a termination attachment, and an end termination. The fitting may be attachable to the end portion of the hose. The fitting may include a ferrule and a stem. The ferrule may be attached to the stem. The termination attachment may be attached to the fitting in opposing relationship to the end portion of the hose. The end termination may be associated with the termination attachment. In some examples, the end termination is threaded, welded, integrally formed, integrally machined, or otherwise associated with the termination attachment.

Electrically powered crimp tool

Electrically powered crimp tools are described. Also described are methods of operating the tools and methods of crimping. The tools include a housing, an electric motor, a roller screw assembly, and a jaw assembly. In particular versions of the tools the jaw assembly includes a cam linkage member that is manually displaced by a user to more easily open the jaws after performing a crimp.

Tapping sleeve with bent ends

A tapping sleeve includes a first bend line in a planar outlet band between a first side end and a second side end of the planar outlet band, the first bend line extending from a front end to a back end of the planar outlet band, a first outlet flange defined between the first side and the first bend line; a second bend line in the planar outlet band between the first bend line and the second side end, the second bend line extending from the front end to the back end of the planar outlet band, a second outlet flange defined between the second side and the second bend line; and an arcuate portion formed between the first bend line and the second bend line.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO FACILITATE HOSE AND FITTING IDENTIFICATION AND ASSEMBLY

A crimper analyzer system is disclosed. The crimper analyzer system also includes a network interface. The crimper analyzer system also includes a memory storage. The crimper analyzer system also includes one or more processors configured to: receive hose specifications and fitting specifications from the network interface, generate crimp parameters based on the received hose specifications and crimp operation data, obtain additional crimp operation data for a hose assembly operation, update the crimp operation data with the additional crimp operation data and store in the updated crimp operation data in the memory storage, and generate a unique assembly identification (UAID) for the hose assembly operation subsequent to the hose assembly operation.
