Ferrule crimping tool
A tool configured to form four evenly spaced indentations having an indentation radius and four evenly spaced projections about a circumference of a generally cylindrical seamless ferrule having a ferrule radius. Each projection of the four projections has a projection height equal to or less than a height threshold. The tool includes four crimping dies. Each crimping die of the four crimping dies defines a concave crimping surface having the indentation radius. The tool also includes four limiting dies. Each limiting die is located intermediate two adjacent crimping dies of the four crimping dies. Each limiting die defines a limiting surface that is configured to limit a height of each projection to the height threshold.
RADIAL PRESS
A radial press is provided having a main structure, a plurality of pressing jaws arranged around a pressing axis, and having a drive unit which acts on the pressing jaws. The drive unit is supported on the main structure and can move the pressing jaws radially in the direction of the pressing axis and away from the same, at least one fibrous structure is provided radially outside the pressing jaws, the fibrous structure enclosing the pressing jaws and extending in annularly closed form around the pressing axis in a plane which is substantially perpendicular to the pressing axis.
Systems and methods to facilitate hose and fitting identification and assembly
A crimper analyzer system is disclosed. The crimper analyzer system also includes a network interface. The crimper analyzer system also includes a memory storage. The crimper analyzer system also includes one or more processors configured to: receive hose specifications and fitting specifications from the network interface, generate crimp parameters based on the received hose specifications and crimp operation data, obtain additional crimp operation data for a hose assembly operation, update the crimp operation data with the additional crimp operation data and store in the updated crimp operation data in the memory storage, and generate a unique assembly identification (UAID) for the hose assembly operation subsequent to the hose assembly operation.
Portable in-line dieless crimping tool
An in-line portable, handheld hydraulic scissor-type action crimping tool having a handle assembly and a working head assembly is provided. The handle assembly has a tool frame portion and a neck portion. The working head assembly has a pair of jaw members joined so that they are movable relative to each other and held in place by a locking pin. One jaw member has a nest secured to or directly formed into the jaw member. The other jaw member has an indentor secured to or directly formed into the jaw member.
Piping component and sealing element for insertion therein
An assembly configured to be press joined with a pipe by a pressing tool includes a piping component, which includes a body, a first end having a rim and an inner surface having a plurality of grooves, and a sealing recess wall positioned between the first end and the body and defining a sealing recess. The assembly also includes a sealing element received within the sealing recess of the piping component and having a sealing element thickness. The sealing element thickness of the sealing element is about equal to and not less than a Minimum Sealing Element Thickness Value of the sealing element.
Systems and methods to axially align dies
Die sets and tools using such die sets, are described which promote axial alignment of the dies during die closure. In addition, jaw sets for tools are described that promote axial alignment of the jaws during die closure. Also described are related methods using the die sets and/or tools with such die sets.
DIE FOR SWAGE PRESS
A swage die includes a plurality of teeth aligned in a generally arcuate array. Each tooth of the plurality of teeth includes a first sidewall, an opposing second sidewall, a first endwall, and an opposing second endwall. The swage die further includes a plurality of first supports, each of the plurality of first supports extending between and connected to first endwalls of neighboring teeth, and a plurality of second supports, each of the plurality of second supports extending between and connected to second endwalls of neighboring teeth. The swage die further includes a plurality of stops, each of the plurality of stops extending from a first support towards a neighboring first support or from a second support towards a neighboring second support.
PIPE CRIMPING TOOL
A tube crimper includes a front crimper including a crimper body and multiple crimper wires arranged in a U shape and defining with the crimper body a U-shaped closed space therebetween, a die block mounted in the U-shaped closed space, and a hydraulic device having a pusher inserted through the crimper body of the front crimper and connected with the die block. After insertion of the tube and connector to be crimped into the U-shaped closed space, the hydraulic device is operated to move the pusher, causing the die block and the crimper wires to crimp the tube onto the connector.
Joint structure and joining method thereof
A joint structure includes a shaft member and a cylindrical member. The cylindrical member includes a plurality of first crimped portions crimped along a plurality of axial grooves provided in an axial direction of the shaft member, respectively, and a second crimped portion which fits the axial grooves and is crimped along a circumferential groove, the circumferential groove being provided on a circumferential surface of the shaft member by reducing a diameter of an axially intermediate portion of the cylindrical member in a radial direction. Each of the first crimped portions project from an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical member as a projection. A position of a tip of the projection in an axis direction of the projection is set displaced from a position of a lowest point of the circumferential groove such that the tip is not located at the lowest point of the circumferential groove.
Pressing jaw, method for producing a non-detachable pipe joint, fitting and system consisting of a pressing jaw and a fitting
A cheek plate for producing a non-detachable pipe joint having an upper cheek half and a lower cheek half, at least one swivel pin which pivotally mounts at least one cheek half, and a receiving region formed between the upper cheek half and the lower cheek half and having a receiving region axis, the at least one cheek half being able to pivot between an open position and a closed position substantially transversely with respect to the receiving region axis. The problem of providing a cheek plate such that the cheek plate permits pressing transverse to the receiving region axis and at the same time a reduction in workpiece size is permitted is solved in that at least one pushing unit is provided, the pushing unit being displaceable at least partially in parallel with the receiving region axis.
