The at least two retention parts are formed on the same part of the gas generator and the at least two functional subassemblies are positioned on the gas generator with a center distance of axes less than or equal to 1.5 times this outer dimension and that each retention part is radially crimped over at least 90% of its periphery.

Hydraulic Power Tool

A working head for a hydraulic power tool including a head frame and a first moveable die head configured to move along the working head frame. The first moveable die head configured to receive a first moveable die comprising a first body length. A second die head is adapted to receive a second die comprising a second body length. The first body length of the moveable die is different from the second body length of the stationary die.

Radial press

A radial press is provided with a base structure, a pressing tool accommodated therein and a drive unit. The pressing tool comprises a number of base jaws which are arranged about a press axis and can be moved by the drive unit towards or away from the press axis in a synchronous manner and radially in relation to said press axis, and substantially wedge-shaped press-jaw heads can be exchangeably attached to the base jaws. A plurality of press-jaw head sets is stored in an associated magazine, the press-jaw head sets being for different press diameters. The press-jaw heads have two markings on at least one axial end side directly adjacent to both wedge surfaces. In addition, the two respective opposing markings of two neighboring press-jaw heads are aligned with one another. Markings that are different from one another are provided for different press-jaw head sets.

A press tool for joining workpieces by forming, has at least two pressing jaws that can be moved relative to one another, with which pressing jaws the workpieces to be joined can be encompassed, at least partially, and which form a matrix for at least one of the workpieces to be joined, and has a closing point formed by mutually dedicated end faces of two of the pressing jaws. In an area adjacent to at least one of the end faces of the closing point, the surface of the associated pressing jaw may be retracted by an offset.

PROGRAMMABLE MOTOR DRIVEN SWAGING PRESSES FOR ATTACHING SURGICAL NEEDLES TO SUTURES
20180272416 · 2018-09-27 ·

A swaging system for attaching surgical needles to sutures and testing the attachment strength includes a frame, a bottom swaging die mounted on the frame, and a top swaging die mounted on the frame and being moveable up and down along a swaging axis that is aligned with the bottom swaging die. The bottom swaging die includes a hinge mechanism with a bottom plate mounted to the frame and a top plate overlying the bottom plate. The top and bottom plates are pivotally connected for enabling the top plate to pivot relative to the bottom plate. The bottom swaging die includes a swaging tool that extends toward the top swaging die along the swaging axis, and a load cell disposed between the top and bottom plates for monitoring load. The system includes a control system having one or more pull test programs stored therein for conducting pull tests on armed surgical needles to determine if the armed surgical needles are acceptable or unacceptable.

PRESSING TOOL WITH SAFETY ELEMENT

A pressing tool for plastically deforming a workpiece is described. The pressing tool includes a housing and an electric motor for actuating the pressing tool. The pressing tool also includes an instrument seat which is adapted to receive an interchangeable instrument head at the housing. The pressing tool also includes a mechanical safety element which is arranged in a manner that is movable from an open position, in which an instrument head may be inserted into the instrument seat, into a closed position, in which the instrument head is locked in the instrument seat. The pressing tool additionally includes a mechanical actuating element which may interact with the safety element in order to be able to cause the pressing tool to be enabled for a pressing process.

METAL COMPOSITE JOINTS FOR COMPOSITE RODS
20240326350 · 2024-10-03 ·

A method for joining composite rods with tubular shape without expensive, machined connectors and without compromising the structural integrity of the composite rod includes internal and external collars applied to the ends of the composite rod and deformed via unidirectional compressive load applied by a clamp in the radial direction of the composite rod cross-section. The resulting plastic deformation of the metal collars and composite rod interlock those components to support both compressive and tensile loads. The deformed metal collars are easily joinable to other components via off-the-shelf hardware.

Pressing Tool
20240300002 · 2024-09-12 ·

The pressing tool includes two pressing jaws which are movable towards one another from an open position into a closed position for pressing, said pressing jaws including a connecting element for connection to respective receiving elements of the pressing ring, so that the press ring is movable from an open position into a closed position by the movement of the pressing jaws for pressing the press fitting. The minimum spacing of the connecting elements in the open position is greater than the maximum spacing of the receiving elements of the press ring in the open position, and the minimum spacing of the connecting elements in the closed position corresponds to a minimum spacing of the receiving elements of the press ring in the closed position. Furthermore, the minimum spacing of the connecting elements in the open position is smaller than the maximum spacing of the receiving elements of a second press ring in the open position, so that connection to the second press ring is prevented.
