Dieless crimping tool
A crimping tool with a housing, a motor, a switch connected to the motor for activating the motor, a pump driven by the motor, a piston driven by the pump, an indenter operably connected to the piston, and a tool head connected to the housing, wherein a workpiece can be disposed between the tool head and the indenter. A current sensor is connected to the motor for sensing current flowing through the motor. A processor receives current data from the current sensor, the processor analyzing the current data to determine completion of a crimping operation and/or an error condition. A display connected to the processor can indicate completion of a crimping operation and/or an error condition.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SEALING A TUBE OF A HOT ISOSTATIC PRESSING (HIP) CANISTER
A system and method for sealing a tube of a hot isostatic pressing (HIP) canister is provided. The system includes an induction heater configured to heat a portion of the tube to a predetermined temperature; and a crimper configured to plastically deform the portion of the tube heated by the induction coil element such that inner surfaces of the portion of the tube are welded together. The method includes heating, by induction, a portion of the tube to a predetermined temperature; and plastically deforming the portion of the tube after being heated such that inner surfaces of the portion of the tube are welded together.
Modified lug press
A modified lug press and use thereof is described. The modified lug press includes a press and a cartridge. The press includes a drive which, when activated, crimps a lug, positioned on a die, to a wire. A cartridge holds the given lug and at least one additional lug, and successively aligns the given lug and the at least one next lug for insertion onto the die for crimping by the press. The cartridge includes a left rail, with a track therein, at least one middle rail, and a right rail. Distances between the rails may be adjustable. A drive motor, when activated, successively pushes lugs onto the die. A lug separator permits one lug to be pushed on the die at any given time. A lug placement device inhibit lateral lug movement during wire insertion and crimping operations.
Portable hand-held hydraulic tools
Portable, hand-held hydraulic tools having a modular power unit within a handle assembly and a working head assembly mated to the handle assembly. The working head assembly can have a pair of movable jaws or a movable jaw and a fixed jaw. The jaws can be configured to perform different operating operations, such as crimping operations and cutting operations.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF AN ELECTRICAL OR ELECTRONIC COMPONENT PART BY INSERTION OF AN ELECTRICAL OR ELECTRONIC COMPONENT ELEMENT HAVING A METAL SHEATH SURROUNDING IT
A method is provided for equipping a component element with a sheath. A plastically deformable metal sheath blank has a large size relative to the component and an elastically deformable auxiliary sleeve has a large size relative to the sheath blank. The component, sheath blank, and auxiliary sleeve are introduced into a radial press having press jaws moved radially in the direction of a press axis. A pressing tool of the radial press is closed with successively occurring bearing of the press jaws on the auxiliary sleeve, elastic radial contraction of the auxiliary sleeve until it bears on the sheath blank and plastic radial contraction of the sheath blank until it bears on the component element. Upon opening the pressing tool, the elastically deformable auxiliary sleeve lifts away from the sheath produced from the sheath blank and the finished component part can be removed from the auxiliary sleeve.
Hydraulic power tool
An example hydraulic tool includes: a fluid reservoir; a pump; an electric motor; a cylinder; a piston; a first trigger button; a second trigger button; and a controller configured to perform operations comprising: receiving a first signal when the first trigger button is triggered, responsively, causing the electric motor to rotate in a first rotational direction, thereby: (i) causing the pump to provide fluid to the cylinder, and (ii) causing the piston to move in a first linear direction, thereafter, receiving a second signal when the second trigger button is triggered, and responsively to the second signal, causing the electric motor to rotate in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction, thereby: (i) opening a fluid path from the cylinder to the fluid reservoir, and (ii) causing the piston to move in a second linear direction opposite the first linear direction.
Crimp structure, crimping method, and electronic device
Provided is a crimp structure in which an inner member and an outer member are joined to each other. The inner member includes an insertion portion having a columnar outer circumferential surface, and an annular groove provided in the outer circumferential surface. The outer member includes a main body portion, and a cylindrical portion continuous with the main body portion and forming an opening into which the insertion portion is inserted. The cylindrical portion includes a first reduced-diameter portion continuous with the main body portion via a first plastically-deformed portion and located further inward in a radial direction than the main body portion, and a second reduced-diameter portion continuous with the first reduced-diameter portion via a second plastically-deformed portion and located further inward in the radial direction than the first reduced-diameter portion. At least a part of the second reduced-diameter portion has entered the annular groove.
CRIMPING METHOD
A method for crimping a stent with a polymer coating in a humid environment is disclosed.
CAULKING DIE, CAULKING TOOL, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CAULKING JOINT USING THEM
A caulking die according to an embodiment of the present invention includes an end surface being connected to each of an upper surface and a lower surface. The end surface includes a first protruded part including a first top portion, a recessed groove, and a second protruded part including a second top portion in sequential order from the lower surface side toward the upper surface side. A length of the second top portion is larger than a length of the first top portion, and a height of the second protruded part is larger than a height of the first protruded part in a cross-sectional view perpendicular to a width direction of the end surface. A caulking tool includes the caulking die. A method for manufacturing a caulking joint uses the caulking tool.
DEVICE HEAD OF A HYDRAULICALLY ACTUATABLE TOOL
A device head of a hydraulically actuatable tool includes an opposing holder which is integrally formed on the device head and which receives a first tool, and including a second tool that can be moved towards the opposing holder by a hydraulic piston. A cylindrical formation formed integrally with the device head and is provided relative to the hydraulic piston. The device head has an integrally formed toothing recess for the angular fixed, but also changeable, arrangement of a retaining rod.
