The first connecting plate is rotatably connected to the left connecting portion through the eccentric shaft. The rotating button adjusts a distance between the left connecting portion and the right connecting portion by driving the eccentric shaft to eccentrically rotate.
PIPE PROCESSING TOOL WITH PIPE DEFORMATION MEMBERS
A pipe processing tool that is configured to deform the end of a pipe so that the circumferential shape of the end of the pipe generally matches the circumferential shape of an adjacent pipe end. Matching the circumferential shapes of the pipe ends is advantageous during a pipe attachment process. The pipe processing tool can include a deformation ring with a plurality of pipe deformation members. Each pipe deformation member faces radially inward and is actuatable in a radial direction toward and away from the center of the deformation ring in order to permit engagement with the pipe. Each pipe deformation member is individually and separately actuatable from the other pipe deformation members so that the circumferential shapes of the pipes can be altered by controlling suitable ones of the pipe deformation members.
Portable in-line dieless crimping tool
An in-line portable, handheld hydraulic scissor-type action crimping tool having a handle assembly and a working head assembly is provided. The handle assembly has a tool frame portion and a neck portion. The working head assembly has a pair of jaw members joined so that they are movable relative to each other and held in place by a locking pin. One jaw member has a nest secured to or directly formed into the jaw member. The other jaw member has an indentor secured to or directly formed into the jaw member.
PRESS DEVICE

The first jaw comprises a first engagement section and the second jaw comprises a second engagement section. The press ring comprises a first and a second receiving section for receiving the first and the second engagement section of the press jaws, respectively. A first and a second surface of the first and the second receiving section, respectively, contact the first and the second engagement section, respectively. Each comprise a planar surface, and the first engagement section comprises a first contact surface and the second engagement section comprises a second contact surface. The first and the second contact surface oppose each other for applying a press force F. The first contact surface and the second contact surface each comprise at least one convex surface, such that a radius of curvature r of the first and the second contact surface is larger than half a width Wx, Wz, measured perpendicular to an axis of curvature, of the respective first and second contact surface.
Object grasping device and swaging-type tube fitting fastening tool using the same
An object grasping device includes: an upper frame having an inner peripheral surface shape corresponding to an outer peripheral surface of an upper portion of an object to surround the outer peripheral surface; a left lower frame having an inner peripheral surface shape corresponding to an outer peripheral surface of a left lower portion of the object to surround the outer peripheral surface of the left lower portion of the object; a right lower frame having an inner peripheral surface shape corresponding to an outer peripheral surface of a right lower portion of the object to surround the outer peripheral surface of the right lower portion of the object; left and right link members linking a left portion and a right portion of the upper frame and a middle portion of the left lower frame by hinges and a middle portion of the right lower frame by hinges, respectively.
Swage machine hinge systems and methods
Techniques for implementing and/or operating a system that includes a pipe fitting and a swage machine. The swage machine includes a grab plate having a grab tab that matingly interlocks with a grab notch on the pipe fitting to facilitate securing the swage machine to the pipe fitting and a die plate having a die seat that enables a set of die segments to be used to conformally deform the pipe fitting around the tubing of the pipe segment to be loaded in the swage machine. The die plate and the grab plate include a base plate section, a hinge plate secured to the base plate section via a hinge fastener such that the hinge plate directly abuts the base plate section, and a pivotable plate section secured to the hinge plate via a hinge fastener such that the hinge plate directly abuts the pivotable plate section.
Press device
A press device comprising a press ring for pressing together tubular workpieces in between, and at least a first and a second pivotable jaw is described. The jaws comprise engagement sections. The press ring comprises receiving sections for receiving the engagement sections of the press jaws. A first and a second surface of the receiving sections, contact the engagement sections. Each of the first and second surface comprises a planar surface. The engagement sections comprise contact surfaces. The contact surfaces oppose each other for applying a press force F. The contact surfaces each comprise at least one convex surface, such that a radius of curvature r of the first and the second contact surface is larger than half a width Wx, Wz, measured perpendicular to an axis of curvature, of the respective first and second contact surface.
Press machine
A pressing machine is described for plastically deforming a tubular workpiece, in particular a fitting. The pressing machine has a motor, and pressing jaws which are driven by the motor and can apply a force to the workpiece during operation. The pressing machine also has a power transmission unit coupled to the motor and the pressing jaws for transmitting power from the motor to the pressing jaws. The pressing machine also has at least one sensor unit for measuring at least one pressing parameter P and a controller which receives the currently measured value of the pressing parameter P from the sensor unit and determines therewith the pitch or slope of a press parameter curve K of the press parameter P. The controller terminates a pressing operation before reaching a maximum possible pressing force Pmax when the pitch or slope of the press parameter curve K of the press parameter P satisfies a shutdown criterion. Also described is a corresponding method for operating a pressing machine.
COUPLING DEVICE FOR TUBULAR MEMBER, DIFFERENT-MATERIAL JOINING METHOD USING SAME, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR TUBULAR MEMBER EQUIPPED WITH DIFFERENT-MATERIAL-JOINING AUXILIARY MEMBER
This coupling device for a tubular member is provided with: a base stand for holding an inner member and an outer member in a state in which the outer member is disposed around the inner member; a plurality of pressing members that are supported by the base stand in a movable manner in the radial direction of the inner member and the outer member and have a protruding part on the tip thereof; a pressing member that make contact with the final end of the pressing member and that can press the pressing member radially inward; and a drive mechanism that drives any one among the base stand and the pressing member in a direction perpendicular to the movement direction of the pressing member so that the one member moves relative to the other. The inner member and the outer member are caulked and coupled by driving, by the drive mechanism, any one among the base stand and the pressing member and displacing the pressing member radially inward to thereby expand, radially inward, a portion of a peripheral wall of the outer member by the protruding part.
Radial compression mechanism
A radial compression mechanism utilizes a string wrapped around a plurality of compression dies to move the dies inward and close a central cylindrical cavity defined by the working surfaces of the dies. The string may be coupled to a string tension mechanism that enables a user to applied a desired tension to the string and thereby compress an article within the central cylindrical cavity. The compression dies may be coupled to a base and move along die-guiding slots from an open position to a closed position. A spring may be configured to force the compression dies open and provide some back-tension to the string. The string may extend around a pully on an opposing side of the compression mechanism and both ends of the string may be coupled to the string tension mechanism.
