PRESSING MACHINE AND PRESSED PRODUCT MANUFACTURING METHOD
A pressing which a ram repeats an up-and-down motion for press working machine that performs a continuous operation in by a press die held by a die holding portion of a bolster and a die holding portion of the ram includes: a die positioning portion that positions the press die in a first direction being a moving direction of the ram; a position adjustment mechanism having a servomotor as a drive source and optionally changing a position where the press die is positioned by the die positioning portion; and a drive control unit driving, when position change data is given during the continuous operation, the servomotor such that the position where the press die is positioned by the die positioning portion is changed to a position corresponding to the position change data when reaction force of the press working not applied to the die positioning portion during continuous operation.
Metal fastening die assembly
A metal fastening or joining apparatus is provided. In another aspect, a single piece die guard includes an integral die shield section and an integral retainer section, wherein a die anvil can be removed, and the die shield section has a low height and a small lateral square width. A further aspect employs a generally square peripheral shape for a die shield within which is an anvil and movable die blades, which are operable to fasten or join sheet metal workpieces together in an interlocking manner. In still another aspect, a projecting and/or peripheral orientation structure is on a backside of a workpiece fastening die assembly which allows for anvil reorientation without the need to also reorient a laterally surrounding die shield and retainer.

FLOATING CUTTER UNIT AND TRIMMING PRESS PROCESSING DEVICE
The present invention makes it possible to obtain a fine finish along a trim line in a plate material while preventing scoring between a floating cutter and a main trimming press upper. A floating cutter unit is provided with: a floating cutter for cutting scrap from a plate-shaped material, said floating cutter being attached to and used in a trimming press processing device that cuts scrap from a plate material along a trim line Tr and that additionally cuts scrap along a scrap cut line Sc; a holder set for holding the floating cutter so as to be movable in the direction of an axial center O; a spring that is brought into contact with the tail end surface of the floating cutter and that applies reaction force to the floating cutter; and a pair of cutters that are attached to the holder set and positioned on both sides of the floating cutter along the trim line Tr.
Punch Hole Forming Method and Punch Hole Forming Device
A punch hole forming method and a punch hole forming device that can suppress a decrease in the temperature of a workpiece due to a machining tool when a hole is formed by punching the workpiece using the machining tool. In the punch hole forming method, when a workpiece that is a plate-like member having a thickness of 0.01 mm or more and 1 mm or less is placed on a die, and a hole is formed by punching the workpiece in the thickness direction using a punch, the workpiece is kept at a temperature at which the workpiece can be punched at least during formation of the hole.
FLOATING CUTTER UNIT AND TRIMMING PRESS PROCESSING DEVICE
The present invention increases the positional accuracy of a floating cutter unit with respect to a press upper die for main trimming. A floating cutter unit is provided with: a floating cutter for cutting scrap from a plate-shaped material, said floating cutter being attached to and used in a trimming press processing device that cuts scrap from a plate-shaped material along a trim line Tr and that additionally cuts scrap along a scrap cut line Sc; a spring that is brought into contact with the tail end surface of the floating cutter and with a holder set for holding the floating cutter so as to be movable in the direction of an axial center 0, and that applies reaction force to the floating cutter; and a guide member that is attached to the holder set, brought into contact with the floating cutter, and used to guide movement in the direction of the axial center 0.
Small Item Stripper Bridge
A safety device with efficiency and utility value, for manipulating small pieces of metal plate to be punched or otherwise worked by an industrial power press equipped with fixtures for punching machines or other purposes. The stock is held magnetically to a non-magnetic plate in which magnets are embedded. The design and concept may be used for both repeated random punches as well as repeated punch patterns. The magnets surround a relatively small hole through which the punch is made. The plate bridges the distance between the contact points of the industrial punch's stripper so that the punch tool may be easily and safely extracted. The plate also extends outward, toward the operator, to provide a safe hand-hold distance from all points of operation and pinch points. Also provided are punch explosion shields for additional protection. The device also adds mass to an otherwise tenuous and fragile work piece for the purposes of accurate placement and positional anchoring.
Modular pilot assembly with self-contained stripper and method for metal forming dies
A pilot assembly and method has a cylindrical pilot body with a tapered outer end, a grooved inner end, and a central portion with at least one inwardly curved side wall relief, as well as internally mounted reciprocating ejector pins with outer ends that protrude through holes in the outer body end to strip stock from the pilot. A spring has its outer end mounted in the groove in the outer body end, and an inner end attached to the inner body end in a pre-tensed condition. A cap screw has an enlarged head that has at least a portion thereof fit into the pilot sidewall relief, and a threaded shank that anchors the pilot in an associated die member.

An annular reference surface is formed around a through-hole of an eye portion. A distal-end-side curved portion is formed at a first corner portion, on an outer side of the annular reference surface. The thickness of the distal-end-side curved portion is reduced in a range of a length from the first flat surface toward the distal end surface. A hole-side curved portion whose thickness is reduced toward an inner surface of the through-hole is formed at a second corner portion, on an inner side of the annular reference surface. The length of the hole-side curved portion is less than the length of the distal-end-side curved portion. The hole-side curved portion is curved with a greater curvature than that of the distal-end-side curved portion.
Machine tools and methods for processing workpieces with a punching device and laser processing device
A machine tool for processing workpieces, in particular metal sheets, has a punching device and a laser processing device. The punching device comprises a punch-side positioning device by means of which a punching tool component of a punching tool can be positioned in a definable position along an operating stroke axis of the punching device. The laser processing device has a laser processing unit and a laser accessory unit. The laser accessory unit can be positioned by means of an accessory unit positioning device with an activation movement in an operating position which can be defined by means of the punch-side positioning device. In the context of a method for processing workpieces, in particular metal sheets, which method is carried out using the above machine tool, the operating position of the laser accessory unit is defined by means of the punch-side positioning device.
