Workpiece discharging devices and related systems and methods
A machine tool for processing workpieces includes a processing device from which processed products to be discharged can be produced from a workpiece; and a discharge device including a discharge flap that can be pivoted into a discharge position inclined downwards relative to a horizontal position in order to discharge processed products and which defines a discharge direction in the discharge position, the discharge flap comprising a part support disposed along the upper side of the discharge flap along which the processed products move during discharge in the discharge direction, where the part support has at least two support regions which extend in the discharge direction and which are configured to accommodate different types of processed products.
MACHINING PLANAR WORKPIECES
A machine for machining, such as cutting and/or forming, planar workpieces has an upper tool and a lower tool that are movable toward each other to machine a workpiece arranged therebetween. The upper tool includes at least one cutting tool having at least one cutting edge and a clamping shaft. The lower tool includes a main body having a support surface for the workpiece. The support surface has an opening associated with an inner counter cutting edge. The lower tool has a positioning axis and at least one outer counter cutting edge provided outside of the opening and associated with the support surface. The outer counter cutting edge is aligned with an outer face of the support surface. A distance of the outer counter cutting edge from the position axis and a distance of the inner counter cutting edge from the position axis deviate from each other.
MACHINING PLANAR WORKPIECES
A machine for machining, such as cutting and/or forming, planar workpieces has an upper tool and a lower tool that are movable toward each other to machine a workpiece arranged therebetween. Workpiece manufacturing apparatus
A workpiece manufacturing apparatus includes a lower die assembly, an upper die assembly, a workpiece extracting device, and a workpiece conveying device. The lower die assembly includes a punch configured to punch out a workpiece into the upper die assembly. The upper die assembly includes an ejector configured to eject the punched out workpiece. The extracting device includes a catch plate configured to receive the ejected workpiece and a moving mechanism, which moves the catch plate between positions below the upper die assembly and the conveying device. The moving mechanism is configured to move the catch plate from the conveying device to the positions below the upper die assembly as the upper die assembly moves upward and to move the catch plate from the positions below the upper die assembly to the conveying device as the upper die assembly moves downward.
Workpiece manufacturing apparatus
A workpiece manufacturing apparatus includes a lower die assembly, an upper die assembly, a workpiece extracting device, and a workpiece conveying device. The lower die assembly includes a punch configured to punch out a workpiece into the upper die assembly. The upper die assembly includes an ejector configured to eject the punched out workpiece. The extracting device includes a catch plate configured to receive the ejected workpiece and a moving mechanism, which moves the catch plate between positions below the upper die assembly and the conveying device. The moving mechanism is configured to move the catch plate from the conveying device to the positions below the upper die assembly as the upper die assembly moves upward and to move the catch plate from the positions below the upper die assembly to the conveying device as the upper die assembly moves downward.
Low profile pilot assembly and method for metal forming dies
A pilot assembly and method for metal forming dies has a generally cylindrical pilot with a stripper that strips stock from the pilot when metal forming dies diverge. The pilot assembly is secured to one die member by a fastener by itself or in combination with a window mount. A spring within the pilot assembly contacts the stripper to force the stripper to reciprocate when the dies are pulled apart. Thus, the pilot assembly helps locate the stock within the metal forming die while also having a stripper to help strip the stock from the pilot.

The automatic cleaner includes a separating structure configured to separate a workpiece from the pressing unit; a cleaning member; and a drive mechanism configured to move the separating structure and the cleaning member back and forth, in accordance with movement of the pressing unit. The drive mechanism is configured to make the separating structure drop the workpiece, after being worked, from the pressing unit, and to make the cleaning member clean the pressing unit, in accordance with the movement of the pressing unit.
AUTOMATIC CLEANER AND PRESSING DEVICE
An automatic cleaner for a pressing device has a pressing unit that can reciprocate between a pressing position and an apart position. The automatic cleaner includes a separating structure configured to separate a workpiece from the pressing unit; a cleaning member; and a drive mechanism configured to move the separating structure and the cleaning member back and forth, in accordance with movement of the pressing unit. The drive mechanism is configured to make the separating structure drop the workpiece, after being worked, from the pressing unit, and to make the cleaning member clean the pressing unit, in accordance with the movement of the pressing unit.
Press system
A press system for knocking out a work from a lower die attached to a press machine has a cam 22 mounted on a bed of the press machine; a servo motor 21 which drives the cam to be rotated with the same cycle time as that of a drive mechanism of a slide of the press machine; a knockout pin 23 moved with reciprocal linear motion by the rotation of the cam; a detector 25 configured to detect a present angle information 24 of the cam, a memory storing a target angle information of the cam, and a controller 28 configured to control the servo motor in accordance with the present angle information and the target angle information. The controller is further configured to change a basic motion of the knockout pin according to contour of the cam to a target motion obtained from the target angle information.
