WEARABLE FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM
The embodiments herein are directed to a portable liquid delivery system that incorporates an immersion driving pump mechanism(s), an administration reservoir, a user interface, and a wearable and/or portable accessory. The wearable accessory serves to house the components of the system and is to be worn on the user's body. In some cases, the system may be used to deliver nutritional formula for the treatment of patients on an enteral nutrition regimen.
FLUID MANAGEMENT CONNECTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEDICAL DEVICES
An assembly for attachment to a gastrostomy feeding tube is provided. The assembly comprises a valve connector and an anchor. The valve connector comprises a housing, a conduit traversing the housing from an inlet to an outlet; and a retaining element extending outwardly from the housing. The anchor comprises an anchor housing configured to receive a portion of the valve connector. The anchor housing has a gastrostomy feeding tube attachment feature for attaching the anchor to the feeding tube, and a valve connector retaining feature that defines a retaining space, wherein the retaining space receives the retaining element of the valve connector and is sized to enable rotation of the retaining element and the valve connector relative to the anchor such that the conduit of the valve connector maintains fluid connection with the gastrostomy feeding tube during rotation. Additional assemblies and systems are also provided for other medical devices.
CATHETER SNUGGER SYSTEM AND METHOD
A device for snugging a balloon of a catheter against an inner wall of an intra-corporeal lumen or surface serviced by the catheter includes a hollow column having a top end and a bottom end, forming a throughway sized to accommodate a tube of the catheter, and a flange extending from the bottom end of the hollow column generally perpendicularly to length of the hollow column. A slit is formed in the hollow column and the flange through which the hollow column is connectable to the tube of the catheter. The catheter is tugged to contact the balloon to the inner wall of the lumen, and the device is fixed to the tube of the catheter atop the skin of a body serviced by the catheter to tension pressure of the balloon against the inner wall.
Systems and methods for ventilation through a body cavity
A system and methods for the delivery of oxygen through a body cavity of a subject using oxygen microbubbles. Through circulation of oxygen microbubbles through the body cavity, oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange may occur. Overall improvement in extending survival rate time during emergency situations caused by pulmonary or similar oxygen-intake restricting injury and/or failure may be achieved through use of the invented system and methods.
INSERTION DEVICE POSITIONING GUIDANCE SYSTEM AND METHOD
There is provided herein a system and a method for an insertion device positioning guidance system comprising: an electromagnetic field generator configured to generate an electromagnetic field covering a treatment area; a plate sensor configured to be positioned within the treatment area in a location defining an orientation of a subject; a reference sensor configured to be positioned, within the treatment area, on the subject's torso, the reference sensor is configured to define a reference coordinate system representing the position and orientation of the subject's torso relative to said field generator; a registration sensor configured to mark at least a first and a second anatomic locations relative to the reference coordinate system; and a processor configured to operate said field generator, read signals obtained from said the plate sensor, said reference sensor and said registration sensor, calculate a position and orientation thereof relative to said field generator, generate a 3D anatomic map representing the torso of the subject and the first and second anatomic locations, said processor is further configured to facilitate visualization on the 3D anatomic map of a position, orientation and/or path of a tip sensor, located in a distal tip section of the insertion device, with respect to the first and second anatomic locations, independent of the subject's movement and independent of deviations in the position and/or orientation of said field generator, thus determination of a successful medical procedure is facilitated.
FEEDING TUBE WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC SENSOR
There is provided feeding tubes including an electromagnetic sensor including a sensor body comprising a core positioned at a distal end of the sensor lumen, and a wire extending along the length of the feeding tube, wherein an RF induced heating of the feeding tube in an MRI environment is below 5 degrees.
SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING A MEDICAL DEVICE BEYOND A BIFURCATION IN A BODY LUMEN
Systems, apparatus, and methods for placing an elongated tube within a patient's body are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes an elongated tube, a magnetic tip, and an inflatable member. The elongated tube can have a first end and a second end, and can define a first lumen and a second lumen. The first lumen can extend from the first end to the second end. The magnetic tip can be coupled to the first end of the elongated tube. The magnetic tip can be tapered toward a distal end of the magnetic tip. An inflatable member can be disposed within the elongated tube proximal of the tapered magnetic tip and fluidically coupled to the second lumen such that the inflatable member can receive fluid via the second lumen.
Catheter anchor system and method thereof
A method and system of and for securing a lumen or catheter, after placement in a patient, to prevent unwanted removal or dislodgement of the lumen or catheter caused by patient movement and/or further medical interventions such as cardiopulmonary chest compressions, electrical defibrillation, surgical procedures, and the like. The method and system comprising simple and sterile materials that preclude the use of excessive suturing and ineffective ad-hoc methods with tape and gauze. The catheter is secured by a rubber on plastic frictional force and will resist external forces while preventing the tube structure from bending and subsequent occlusion. The device can be comfortably attached to the patient in all of the anatomical locations typically targeted for large catheter installment. The method of securement is rapid and requires only a single personnel to handle the device and the catheter tube simultaneously.
