Air intake separator systems and methods

An air intake separator system includes a plurality of vanes adapted to remove fluid or precipitation from an air stream, wherein the vanes are operably coupled to tubular rods with an interference fit. Applying an elevated temperature heat transfer fluid to the plurality of vanes removes fluid or precipitation from an air stream in order to prevent ice formation. Likewise, applying a lower temperature heat transfer fluid can cool the vanes.

Method of Manufacturing Actively Cooled Accelerator Grid with Full Penetration Weld Configuration

A heat exchanger tube for transferring a heat of an exhaust gas to a fluid to be heated includes a turn-back portion formed in an intermediate portion of the heat exchanger tube and a reciprocating conduit portion. The reciprocating conduit portion includes a conduit portion leading from a starting end of the heat exchanger tube to the turn-back portion, and a conduit portion leading from the turn-back portion to a terminal end of the heat exchanger tube. A space equal to or greater than the outer diameter of the conduit portions is provided between these conduit portions.

COMPONENT WITH DIFFERING MATERIAL PROPERTIES

A component can be formed having an integral monolithic body. The integral monolithic body can be formed utilizing electroforming processes such as electrodeposition of metal alloys. The electroformed monolithic body can be formed utilizing multiple anodes powered by multiple power sources. The monolithic body can have differing local material properties determined during formation of the component.

HEAT EXCHANGER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PLATE-SHAPED FINS FOR HEAT EXCHANGER

Plate-shaped fins of a heat exchanger each include, at circumferential portions thereof defining a notch in which a heat transfer tube having a flattened shape is disposed, fin collars formed by being raised from the circumferential portions. Each of the fin collars includes, in a position that faces a long axis side surface of the heat transfer tube, at least one reflare section bent in a direction opposite to the side surface. At least one of the reflare sections defining fin pitches between the adjoining plate-shaped fins is formed so that a reflare tip portion, which is a tip portion of the reflare section, is drawn apart from a contact side surface of the plate-shaped fin with which the reflare section comes into contact.
