The shell (210) has a sidewall (212) defining an interior, a first shell end having a first opening (214) defined therein, and a second shell end having a second opening (216) defined therein, each of the first (214) and second openings (216) in communication with the interior to receive percutaneous tubing therethrough, the shell (210) further having an engagement portion. The connector body (230) has a first body end (234) and a second body end (236) with a tube lumen defined therethrough, the first body end (234) having a connector tip (237), the connector body (230) having an engaging portion to engage the engagement portion of the shell (210). The plug (250) has a first plug end and a second plug end with a fluid lumen defined therethrough, the first plug end having a plug tip (257) extending therefrom.
FEEDING SYRINGE HOLDER
In one aspect, a system is provided for administering a formulated food solution. The system includes a syringe body having a collar, a barrel, and at least one protrusion. The system includes a handle configured to be hung on a support and a holder body connected to the handle. The holder body has a central opening sized to receive the syringe body. The holder body includes at least one alignment portion configured to engage at least one protrusion of the syringe body and resist turning of the syringe body in the central opening of the holder body.
Dosing control coupling for enteral fluid transfer and enteral couplings and syringes
An enteral dosing control coupling comprising a cylindrical collar defining a hollow internal chamber and a lumen extension tip projecting axially into the internal chamber, the lumen extension tip defining an internal lumen extending therethrough. In example forms, the lumen extension tip is integrally formed with the cylindrical collar. In other example forms, the lumen extension tip is a separate piece and is removably engageable within the cylindrical collar. In some example forms, the present invention relates to syringes, connectors, couplings, etc. having ISO 80369-3 formatted couplings. In other example forms, the present invention relates to connectors, couplings, etc. for adapting coupling formats other than the ISO 80369-3 coupling format to the ISO 80369-3 coupling format.
Cleaning device and method for fluid transfer connector
A cleaning device for cleaning an ISO 80369-3 formatted connector that has a lumen. The cleaning device is oriented along a longitudinal axis and has a handle, a plug, and a plurality of brushes.
Methods, compositions, and devices for supplying dietary fatty acid needs
Nutritional formulas comprising long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LC-PUFAs) are provided, along with methods and devices for preparing and/or administering nutritional formulas. In some embodiments, a percentage of the LC-PUFAs in the nutritional formula are in the form of monoglycerides and/or free fatty acids. In some embodiments, the nutritional formulas do not comprise added lipase. Also provided are methods for providing nutrition to a subject, methods for improving fat absorption, methods for improving cognitive ability, methods for preventing chronic lung disease, and methods for reducing the length of time a patient requires total parenteral nutrition.
DRUG PREPARATION KIT AND PROCESS OF PREPARING A DRUG
A drug preparation kit is disclosed that includes an adapter and a funnel unit. The adapter has a stud section with an in-container side and an out-container side. The stud section of the adapter is dimensioned to tightly fit into an opening of a container. The adapter has an access passage extending from the out-container side to the in-container side through the stud section. The funnel unit has a neck portion dimensioned to tightly fit into the access passage of the adapter. The funnel unit has a degassing channel formation arranged to provide a degassing channel extending from the in-container side of the stud section of the adapter to the out-container side of the stud section of the adapter when the neck portion of the funnel unit is fitted into the access passage of the adapter.
DOUBLE LUMEN NEONATAL FEEDING TUBE
An improved double lumen neonatal feeding tube has a dedicated feeding lumen coupled to a dedicated venting lumen, together forming a single tube. The feeding lumen has one or more feeding holes and the venting lumen has multiple venting holes at a position higher on the tube than the feeding holes. The inclusion of a dedicated venting lumen allows for constant venting even during times when the feeding lumen is in use for feeding.
Large Bore Enteral Connector
An enteral feeding connector, coupling or syringe tip configured for compatibility with blenderized feeding applications. The connector, coupling or syringe tip has a minimum internal bore dimension greater than the standard ENFit coupling specifications, to provide improved delivery of blenderized food.
FEEDING TUBE ORIFICE DILATOR
The present invention relates to a plurality of feeding tube orifice dilators (10, 20, 30, 40) that allows users to dilate the Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) orifice comprising a proximal end portion (14) and a distal end portion (16) interconnected by an elongated body (12); a series of measuring marks (18) is applied to the dilators (10, 20, 30, 40) which are increased progressively in diameter through the proximal end portion (14) to the distal end portion (16); and a soft tipped wire (31) inserted into the proximal end portion (14) of dilator (30). Further, dilator (20) has small openings (14a) near the proximal end portion (14) and is hollow on the inside. Further, the dilators (10, 20, 30, 40) are inserted and removed prior to inserting the feeding tube after the opening is enlarged.
HIGH-FLOW ENTERAL FEEDING SYRINGE ASSEMBLY
An enteral feeding connector facilitates an increased flow rate into and through the connector to accommodate feeding fluids requiring higher flow rates for delivery. The connector includes a male connector portion including an inlet, a fluid passage in fluid communication with the inlet, and at least one connector projection at the inlet. The connector projection defines a cross-sectional area of the inlet configured to facilitate delivering feeding fluid requiring higher flow rates through the connector.
