PACIFIER TO TRAIN PROPER TONGUE POSITION
A pacifier including a shield having a first side, a second side, a top portion, and a bottom portion, and a handle. The handle extends from the first side of the shield and defines a longitudinal axis. A nipple extends from the second side of the shield, wherein the nipple is inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis and extends downwardly from the longitudinal axis.
Combined Infant Feeding and Pacifier Retention Device
A combined infant feeding and pacifier retention device is an apparatus used to retain and distribute breastmilk or other fluids. The apparatus is also configured to store a pacifier for selective use. The apparatus comprises a liquid retention chamber, a pacifier retaining mechanism, and a feeding spout. The liquid retention chamber is a contained volume that enables transportation of inserted liquids, particularly milk or breastmilk. The pacifier retaining mechanism is a unit that enables storage of any of a variety of pacifiers. The feeding spout is a unidirectional valve that enables fluid transfer from the liquid retention chamber. The feeding spout is preferably made of any of a variety of soft, bisphenol A-free (BPA-free) materials that effectively operates when utilized as a mouthpiece for an infant. The general configuration of the aforementioned components allows the apparatus to efficiently and effectively store and distribute fluids to users.
Mask for administration of inhaled medication
A breathing mask for use in administering inhalable medications to a patient in need of an inhaled drug is provided. The mask disclosed herein is particularly useful for use with very young children. The mask is made from a flexible molded plastic silicone or elastomeric material, and has an anthropometrically/anatoinically/ergonomically contoured shape to provide a good seal, a comfortable fit, and minimal dead space within the mask. The airway is aligned with nose. There may be an orifice for use with a soother device to calm a child using the mask. Also provided is a visual flow indicator to provide an indication of the quality of the seal of the mask on the face.
PACIFIER SECURING DEVICE AND SYSTEM WITH ARTICULATABLE COMPONENTS
Devices, systems, and apparatus for retaining a pacifier for use by a child. In an embodiment of the device, the device may include a pacifier guide retainer and a pacifier guide member. The pacifier guide retainer may include an opening. The pacifier guide member may include an elongated guide member and may be disposed within the opening of the pacifier guide retainer. The elongated guide member comprises a length sufficient to retain the pacifier guide member within the opening of the pacifier guide retainer and allow the pacifier guide member to slide back and forth in the opening. Systems including the device as well as methods and processes for the construction and use of such systems and devices are also included.
LATERAL MOSFET WITH BURIED DRAIN EXTENSION LAYER
An integrated circuit containing an extended drain MOS transistor which has a drift layer, an upper RESURF layer over and contacting an upper surface of the drift layer, and a buried drain extension below the drift layer which is electrically connected to the drift layer at the drain end and separated from the drift layer at the channel end. A lower RESURF layer may be formed between the drift layer and the buried drain extension at the channel end. Any of the upper RESURF layer, the drift layer, the lower RESURF layer and the buried drain extension may have a graded doping density from the drain end to the channel end. A process of forming an integrated circuit containing an extended drain MOS transistor which has the drift layer, the upper RESURF layer, and the buried drain extension.
INFANT PACIFIER DEVICE
An infant pacifier device which may provide for preventing and/or reducing common orthodontic/orthopedic conditions. The device may include a bulb formed by an upper surface and an opposing lower surface. The lower surface may include a rear ascension. A neck having a descending neck, neck inversion, and an ascending neck. The descending neck may be coupled to the bulb, the ascending neck may be coupled to a shield, and the descending neck and ascending neck may be coupled together via the neck inversion so that the descending neck and ascending neck are angled relative to each other. A shield extension may be coupled to the shield so that the bulb and shield extension are positioned on opposing sides of the shield. Optionally, a neck valley forming a junction between the descending neck and ascending neck, and a nipple valley forming a junction between the rear ascension and the descending neck.
Breastfeeding device
The breastfeeding device comprises a suction assembly that attaches to one of the mother's breasts, a pump assembly that provides suction to express milk from the mother's breast and collect it in a reservoir, a pacifier that allow a baby to feed on collected breast milk, and interconnecting flexible tubing. In some embodiments, the breastfeeding device may also comprise a breastfeeding garment which may allow the mother to use the suction assembly while wearing clothing and which may help to hold the suction assembly in place. A shutoff valve on the outlet of the pump assembly may allow the pacifier and associated tubing to be disconnected without loss of breast milk when the baby is not feeding.
Polyisoprene rubber breast hood
The production of a protein free synthetic polyisoprene which has both low levels of chemical impurities and good physical properties has yet to be realized. It has now been envisioned that the use of neodymium catalyzed polyisoprene will offer the combined advantages of both a clean, as well as, high cis-1,4 polymer. Synthesis of polyisoprene rubber using a neodymium based catalyst system is described. Characterization of the material shows the absence of an ultra high molecular weight fraction and the presence of very high cis-1,4-microstructure. Gum stock and black filled compound studies comparing neodymium polyisoprene with natural rubber, titanium polyisoprene, and lithium polyisoprene have been performed. Results indicate that polyisoprene rubber synthesized using a neodymium catalyst system (NdPI) has similar stress-strain and tear properties as synthetic titanium polyisoprene. Analysis of residual volatile, extractable, and oligomer levels indicates NdPI is indeed a clean source of high cis synthetic polyisoprene.
Compressible pacifier
A compressible pacifier is described having a flexible neck portion connecting a nipple to a base portion. The flexible neck portion allows for the nipple to be extended for use as needed, and compressed within the planar surface of the base portion when the pacifier is not in use or is being transported.
Custom-made artificial nipple
An artificial nipple is formed of an elastomeric polymer by use of 3D printing after imaging of a mother's breast in an active state of lactation. The artificial nipple used as an attachment to a baby bottle or as the nipple component of a pacifier. Use of an artificial nipple formed in this manner mitigates a problem with nipple confusion, as may otherwise manifest in newborn offspring.
