Pacifier with downloadable voice and music and monitoring capabilities
This device will be a nipple that will soothe a child while providing soft noise for the child as well as providing perhaps educational material at the request of the parent. The sound itself can be emitted through a speaker and can be done wirelessly through a variety of wireless means. Alternatively, a chip may also be used to store various sounds that can be changed at the request of the user either remotely or locally. Because the parent will want to know when the child falls asleep, the noise from the device will automatically shut off once the child has stopped sucking on the pacifier.
TEETHER
A teether is disclosed that is capable of retaining and presenting solid, cold, and/or damp food to a teething child. The teether has a top piece and a bottom piece. An opening in the top piece has a plurality of lobes and a like number of retaining teeth. The retaining teeth are configured to capture properly sized food, so that a teething child is able to gum or gnaw on the food, but not remove the food from the teether. If the child places too much force on the food, the food falls through the opening into a vessel, where is remains until removed by an adult.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING INDIVIDUALIZED ARTIFICIAL NIPPLE
The present disclosure is directed to an individualized artificial nipple made by a process comprising the steps of capturing surface geometry of a mammalian nipple with a device configured for capturing depth data, transferring the depth data to an additive manufacturing device, using the depth data to create a file format used for additive manufacturing, and producing a replica of the mammalian nipple using additive manufacturing.
ORAL FLUIDS COLLECTION DEVICE AND METHOD
An oral fluids sample collection method and apparatus includes a shield having a first face and a second face; an elastomeric nipple having an outer surface and defining a nipple interior extending from the first face of the shield; and a reservoir component extending from the second face of the shield comprising a reservoir having a reservoir interior. These elements are interconnected by a plurality of fluid conduit/valve combinations, including a first combination permitting flow from the nipple interior to an atmospheric vent port disposed on an exterior surface of the oral fluids collection device; a second combination permitting flow from the reservoir interior to the nipple interior; and a third combination permitting flow from a collection port disposed on the outer surface of the nipple to an exit port in the reservoir interior.

Newborn anti-scratch and chew mitt
The invention is directed to an anti-scratch and chew mitts that are designed to have a selectively exposed teething surface. The selectively exposed teething surface can have teething elements for an infant to chew while teething. The anti-scratch and chew mitt can have a reversible teething cap that can be reconfigured from a teething configuration to a protective configuration. The teething elements being exposed about an outer surface of the teething cap in the first teething configuration. The teething cap is reversible such that the teething cap can be folded inside-out and over itself in a second protective configuration. In the second protective configuration the first surface of the teething cap having the teething elements is inverted upon itself thereby containing the outer surface having the teething elements of the teething cap within an interior of the teething cap in the second configuration.
Pacifier ball
A pacifier ball comprising a hollow sphere comprising a pair of identical hemispherical members having circular hemispherical rims separably joined together to form the hollow sphere. A first pair of hollow pliable nipples being mounted on and projecting radially outward, from one of the hemispherical members. The nipples of the first pair of hollow pliable nipples having centerlines projecting through the center of said sphere and defining therewith a first common plane. A second pair of hollow pliable nipples being mounted on and projecting radially outward from the other hemispherical member. The nipples of the second pair of hollow pliable nipples having centerlines projecting through the center of said sphere and defining therewith a second common plane. The centerlines of the nipples of each pair of hollow pliable nipples creating an angle of separation between the nipples and equal angles of projection for each of the nipples such that each of the nipples is equally spaced from its respective hemispherical rim. The first and second common planes being perpendicular to each other, and therefore each pair of hollow pliable nibbles are oriented perpendicular to each other on their respective hemispherical member. The size, weight, number and placement of the nipples facilitate the ease of use of the pacifier ball by an infant. The pacifier ball can also be taken apart for cleaning.
FLEXIBLE PACIFIER
The present invention is directed to a pacifier. The pacifier of the invention includes a baglet and a shield. The baglet has a tip, a shaft and base. The tip has a length and width that is greater than the length and width of the shaft. The base is adapted to connect the baglet to the shield and has creases configured to permit the baglet to move toward and away from the shield and rotate about a center point of the base.
A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING VITAL SIGNS OF AN INFANT
An infant monitoring system combines an infant soother having a sensor for detecting the location or sucking motion of the soother and a vital signs sensor for providing a vital signs sensor output. The vital signs sensor output is interpreted taking account of the sensing of the soother. In this way, it can be prevented that a soother sucking motion is incorrectly interpreted as a different vital signs measurement (such as heart rate or respiration rate) or otherwise corrupts the vital signs measurement.
