THREAD-FORMING SCREW AND PRODUCTION THEREOF
The invention relates to a thread-forming screw (10) comprising a base body (12, 20) which comprises a drive and a screw shank, the screw shank carrying a thread (13) having a channeling region (14) and a carrying region, the base body (12, 20) consisting of a base material. The invention is characterized in that the thread (13) is formed from a coating material (18) different from the base material, at least in the channeling region (14), which is applied to the base material by deposition welding.
Adjustable bicycle stand
An adjustable bicycle stand includes a pair of forward and rearward base members and a pair of right and left upright members supporting a bicycle wheel therebetween. Each upright member extends between both the forward and rearward base members. At least one of the upright members is adjustable relative to the forward and rearward base members.
Roll forming machine with reciprocating dies
A reciprocating die roll forming machine for forming a pattern such as a thread form on the outer surface of a cylindrical blank includes at least one set of reciprocating dies operating upon the blank which rotates in place. The machine includes a slide and bearing combination to support the dies belt driven by a servo-motor controlled by a central processing unit. Mechanism is provided to deliver and position a blank for engagement by the dies. In one form, the machine includes multiple die sets to produce multiple parts during one die reciprocation cycle. In another form, the machine employs separate drive mechanisms to independently drive each die of a set.
ROPE DRUM AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present invention relates to rope drums for winding and unwinding ropes, having a drum shell, to which end disks are fastened at the end faces, and to rope winches having such rope drums. The invention also relates to a method for producing such a rope drum. According to the invention, the drum shell is seamlessly rolled from an annular workpiece blank by means of a rope groove profile embossed in a non-cutting manner.
AXIAL THREAD ROLLING
The present invention is directed to an axial thread rolling process that utilizes a thread rolling head that includes a clutch, that prevents full disengagement of the clutch during thread rolling, and that reverses the direction of rotation used for thread rolling to escape a threaded workpiece from the thread rolling head.
Cylindrical Tool Matching System
A die matching system which is preferably implemented in die rolling machinery for fasteners employs witness or reference marks on each of the dies. An eddy current sensor is employed to sense the witness marks and to detect change in the relative position of the witness mark and hence the position of the rotatable dies. The change in position is then processed and a signal is transmitted to servo motors to change the relative position of the dies to compensate for the position changes continuously during the operation of the die rolling machinery. In one preferred form, the witness mark is in the form of a recess milled into the bottom end surface of the cylindrical die.

METALLIC CONTAINER WITH A THREADED CLOSURE
The present invention relates generally to a container that may be sealed and reclosed with a threaded closure. More specifically, the present invention relates to methods of manufacturing a metallic container having an opening with inwardly facing threads. The threads are formed on the metallic container by pressing a neck portion of the metallic container against closure threads of a threaded closure which is inserted at least partially into the opening. The container threads may optionally be formed while the threaded closure is in tension. In this manner, after the container threads are formed, the closure threads can apply a force to the container threads such that the threaded closure is in tension. The container opening may be selectively sealed and reclosed with the threaded closure which releasably engages the container threads. Novel apparatus and methods of sealing metallic containers and forming threads on the metallic containers are also disclosed.
ROLLED PIPE THREAD PROCESSING METHOD, ROLLING HEAD, APPARATUS, MODULE, PRODUCTION LINE, AND PRODUCT THEREOF
Provided is a method for performing an external pipe thread process on a hollow blank by at least twice rolling: firstly, the first rolling wheel group rolls the outer surface of the hollow blank into a threaded cylindrical surface or a threaded conical surface or a threaded cylindrical conical mixing surface, and secondly, the second rolling wheel group rolls again for the outer surface of the hollow blank which has processed in step 1, and rolling to form an external pipe thread; wherein the number of rolling wheels in a rolling wheel group, used in any two back-to-back rolling processes in a processing sequence, are different in parity. Further provided are various rolling head, module, apparatuses and production line for pipe thread, achieving the above processing method and having a simple structure, portability and practicality. When preforming an external pipe thread rolling process of the hollow blank, thereby improving a processing yield; in addition, the invention also provides a threaded cylindrical surface or a threaded conical surface or threaded cylindrical conical mixing surface products by the first rolling wheel group.
