Packing material, method for producing packing material, reading device, stored-article management system, disconnection detection device, unsealing detection label, and unsealing detection system
A package in an aspect of the present invention includes: a package body having a receiving cavity for receiving a cavity item; a sheet for sealing the receiving cavity; a conducting wire formed on the sheet so as to pass above the sealed opening portion of the receiving cavity; and a wireless communication device formed on the sheet so as to be connected to the conducting wire. The wireless communication device transmits a signal including information which differs between before and after the conducting wire together with the sheet is cut as a result of opening the receiving cavity. The information transmitted from the wireless communication device is read by a reader. The package and the reader are used for a cavity item management system.
Systems and methods for monitoring medication effectiveness
System for determining real-world effectiveness of various prescribed medications. Here a variety of different types of patient pulse wave measurements (e.g. blood pressure, pulse oximeter, ECG) and other physiological measurements are obtained. This actual data is compared to calculated measurements that would be expected based on the various patient baseline measurements in the absence of medication, schedule of medications, and impact of medications the various patient baseline measurements. If the actual data meets expectations, then the medication is likely acting as anticipated. Depending on which types of data do not meet expectations, problems with one or more previously described medications may be reported. Other types of patient physiological readings, such as temperature, motion, lung function, brain wave function (EEG) and the like may also be obtained, and these additional types of readings can be used to extend the range of different types of drugs/medications that the system can successfully monitor.
Portable, reusable medication dispensing assembly which has communication capability to improve medication adherence
A portable, reusable medication dispensing assembly which has communication capability to improve medication adherence is disclosed. An electromechanical apparatus sequentially delivers dosage form packages from a compartment in a housing to a dose-ready area in the housing. A microprocessor-based controller is reprogrammable with contact and prescription data. The controller controls the electromechanical apparatus to sequentially deliver the dosage form packages at prescribed times or time intervals to the dose-ready area based on the prescription data. The controller generates and stores a set of event data based on when the dosage form packages are ready to be released in the dose-ready area and whether and when the dosage form packages have been released in the dose-ready area. Communication apparatus is capable of wirelessly transmitting the event data via a publicly-accessible network to a remote database and to wirelessly transmit event notifications via the network based on the prescription and contact data.
Consumer medication adherence system
A medication adherence system with a pill container with 2D barcodes printed along one or more compartment stores medication to be taken. A user scans the 2D barcode using a first electronic device with a mobile app installed and the user confirms the correct medication for the appropriate day and the system synchronizes scanning and scheduling data to an Internet cloud service. Separately, proxy users and caregivers can use a second electronic device to retrieve data from the cloud and manage a patient's medication scheduling and the devices are in data communication through the mobile app and associated cloud service. Proxy users can seamlessly monitor and manage medication adherence of semi-independent persons using the described system.
PORTABLE MEDICATION CONTAINER
The medication container includes a generally card-shaped housing with an interior. The housing has a first opening that is sized to allow a plurality of pills to simultaneously be inserted into the interior of the housing and a first door that is movable between an open position and a closed position to selectively open and close the first opening. The housing also has a second opening that is spaced from the first opening and is configured to only allow a single dose of pills to be dispensed at a time. A second door is movable between open and closed positions. Electronic circuitry is disposed in the interior of the housing and is configured to detect the passage of the pills through the second opening and also to record data pertaining to each dispensing event to a memory contained within the interior of the housing.
CAP ASSEMBLY FOR A MEDICATION CONTAINER
The medication container includes a receptacle and a cap. The cap includes a gate that can be selectively opened to enable access to medications in the receptacle and closed to restrict access to medications in the receptacle. The gate has a locking mechanism that only unlocks to allow the gate to open from the closed position in response to an application of a downward force on a portion of the gate to resiliently deflect a portion of the gate. The cap further includes electronic components that are configured to monitor movement of medications through the cap and into and out of the receptacle, the electronic components including a memory that is configured to store data pertaining to such passages of medications.
ROTARY PILL DISPENSER AND METHOD OF USE
An automated medication dispenser system is disclosed. The system includes a dispenser device comprising a medication dispensing and storage module, a dispensing drive and control mechanism, and a communications interface. A third party communications host is in communication with the dispenser device, and has administration software with executable instructions for control of the dispensing drive and control mechanism to dispense medication from the medication dispensing and storage module. The communications interface is in communication with the third party communications host.
Medicine Dispenser with Patient Compliance Monitoring System
Tracking patient compliance with treatment protocols is an important aspect of delivering high quality healthcare. A system for tracking compliance with protocols that include the periodic consumption of oral medication includes a mobile computing device and a pill tracking dispenser. The mobile computing device includes an application program configured to record the periodic consumption of oral medication by the patient. The pill tracking dispenser can be connected to the mobile computing device through a wireless network. The pill tracking dispenser is configured to report to the mobile computing device the number of times the oral medication is consumed by the patient.
