Pressing method and method of manufacturing mechanical apparatus
A method of performing pressing on a workpiece using a press machine. The pressing method includes: performing pressing on the workpiece between a lower die and an upper die by causing the upper die to approach the lower die by using the hydraulic cylinder in a state in which the workpiece is disposed between the lower die and the upper die, and performing the pressing on the workpiece between the lower die and the upper die, in a state in which a shape of each of the frame, the lower die and the upper die has a rotationally symmetric shape about the reference axis and in which the workpiece center axis coincides with the reference axis.
Forging press for hot forging of asymmetric to symmetric rail and process of forging thereof
A forge and method of forging is provided. The forge converts an asymmetric railroad rail to a symmetric railroad rail through a combination of vertical and horizontal forging operations. The rail is linearly translated to heating and forging stations on a roller table. The asymmetric to symmetric conversion can be completed without the need for reorienting the rail except along a single translational axis.
Forging device and forging method for outer joint member of constant-velocity universal joint
A forging apparatus includes an ironing mechanism and a phase alignment mechanism. The ironing mechanism includes: a punch set, which is fitted into a cylindrical portion of a pre-processing material to be formed into the outer joint member, and is radially expandable and contractible, the cylindrical portion having grooves formed in an inner peripheral surface thereof; and a die having a hole into which the cylindrical portion is press-fitted. The phase alignment mechanism is configured to align phases of the grooves in the inner peripheral surface of the pre-processing material and phases of track groove portion forming surfaces of the punch set with each other before the pre-processing material is fitted to the punch set.
HYDRAULIC CYLINDER
A hydraulic cylinder comprising a cylinder, a piston element movably guided in the cylinder in a working direction and comprising an active surface, and a first opening for feeding a fluid into a cylinder chamber by the active surface. A working pressure of the fluid acting on the active surface drives the piston element in the working direction. The active surface includes a first partial surface and at least one second partial surface, the cylinder chamber being divided into a first sub chamber with the first opening by the first active surface and a second partial surface with a second opening by the second partial surface, and the partial surfaces are hydraulically separated from each other at least in a selectable operating mode.

HOT FORMING A CAST FORGING INGOT
A method for hot forming of a cast forging ingot uses a forging device with radially guided forging dies of which each have two die parts, which can be radially moved relative to each other and of which the inner die part bearing a forging tool is drive-connected, using a hydraulic cylinder, to the other, outer die part, which can be driven using an eccentric drive. In order to provide advantageous forging conditions, the forging ingot is formed under heat, first using the forging dies driven by the eccentric drive, in near-surface forge processing with a degree of deformation which is above the critical degree of deformation and which excludes the formation of cracks, and then, with the outer die parts stopped, with the aid of the inner die parts driven by the hydraulic cylinders, in forge pressing with a bite ratio of >0.5.

LIGHTWEIGHT TWO-CROSSBEAM HIGH-SPEED FREE FORGING HYDRAULIC PRESS
Disclosed is a lightweight two-crossbeam high-speed free forging hydraulic press. The hydraulic press includes a fixed crossbeam, a movable crossbeam, a column, and a return oil cylinder. By integrating a hydraulic cylinder with a through hole for the column to slide, an annular hydraulic cylinder is formed between the movable crossbeam and the column, and no hole is required to be specially provided on the movable crossbeam for mounting the hydraulic cylinder. Therefore, the rigidity, strength and bending resistance of the movable crossbeam serving as an upper crossbeam or a lower crossbeam can be effectively guaranteed, the crossbeam structure is simplified, and the manufacturing difficulty is reduced. Meanwhile, compared with the existing hydraulic press of a three-crossbeam structure, the two-crossbeam hydraulic press can greatly reduce the overall dimension and mass of the high-speed forging hydraulic press, reduce the overall height of the hydraulic press.

MATERIAL FORMING
A method for material forming uses a movable tool and a drive unit the method including moving the drive unit to provide kinetic energy to the tool, for the tool to strike a work material, so as to form the work material the method including providing an impact head between the drive unit and the movable tool, and providing the kinetic energy to the tool by the drive unit striking the impact head, the impact head (extending in the direction of the stroke from an impact end to a base region, where the base region is closer to the tool than the impact end. The method includes arranging the impact head so that the impact end has laterally, in relation to the direction of the stroke, a smaller extension than the base region.
