METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR FILLING CLIMATE CONTROLLED MEDICATIONS
The temperature-controlled medication packaging system includes a storage with a temperature-controlled interior that contains at least one medication that is disposed within a shipping box. The temperature-controlled medication packaging system also includes at least one shipping container in a packager. The temperature-controlled medication packaging system further includes at least one coolant that is sized to fit within the at least one shipping container. At least one robot is adapted to retrieve the at least one medication directly from the shipping box within the storage and transport the at least one medication to the shipping container in the packager. The at least one robot is also adapted to retrieve the at least one coolant and to transport the at least one coolant to the shipping container in the packager.
Techniques for tracking physical parameters such as temperature of transported biological materials
A technique for tracking, for example, the temperature of one or more sample vials containing biological material stored in a low-temperature shipping vessel. Each sample vial has vial electronics that senses temperature and transmits temperature data to the reader head of a reader device, which has a controller that is not at the low temperature. In some implementations, the shipping vessel has a cap with a recess that houses the controller and a hollow plug that houses a cable that connects the controller to the reader head that is located in the vessel's cold interior sufficiently close to the sample vial to enable interaction with the vial electronics. In some implementations, the reader head transmits electrical power to the vial electronics. By tracking the temperature of individual sample vials rather than the temperature of the vessel interior, more-relevant temperature data is available.
Heated Baby Bottle Assembly
A heated baby bottle assembly includes a baby bottle for containing a fluid baby food. An insulating layer is wrapped around the baby bottle and the insulating layer is comprised of a thermally insulating material thereby inhibiting thermal communication between the baby bottle and ambient air. A pair of nipples is provided and a respective one of the nipples is removably attachable to the baby bottle thereby facilitating the fluid baby food to be consumed through the respective nipple. A heating element is integrated into the baby bottle to heat the baby bottle when the heating element is turned on thereby heating the fluid baby food in the baby bottle. A control unit is integrated into the baby bottle and the control unit actuates the heating element to a selectable temperature thereby facilitating the fluid baby food to be retained at the selected temperature.
Temperature controlled box system
A box system for keeping medicine and other payloads at a desired temperature for prolonged periods of time is disclosed. The system generally includes three or more insulating materials between a refrigerant and the payload so that the payload is not cold-shocked by the refrigerant but instead maintains a desired temperature range during shipment. A box having foldable tabs for securing the materials to each other is also disclosed herein.
Carrier for carrying a container of medically useful solution or suspension
A supple carrier for carrying a container of medically useful solution or suspension. The supple carrier includes a first monitoring window providing a first visualization perspective of the container contained by the envelope and one or more adjustable pressurizers. The supple carrier can delay the temperature change of the medically useful solution or suspension carried by the carrier.
FREEZE-FREE MEDICINAL TRANSPORT CARRIERS
In some embodiments, a medicinal carrier device includes: one or more sections of thermal insulation positioned to form an internal space with an adjacent first side region and an adjacent second side region; a first panel including a first phase change material positioned within the first side region of the internal space, the first side region of a size and shape to firmly contain an integral number of portable cold packs in thermal contact with the first panel; and a second panel including a second phase change material positioned within the second side region of the internal space, the second side region of a size and shape to firmly contain an integral number of portable cold packs in thermal contact with the second panel.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS OF SUBSTANCES
An apparatus, comprising an environmental control element configured to control at least one environmental condition of a substance contained within a chamber, the environmental control element includes a thermal insulator configured to provide a thermal shield to the substance and a phase change material (PCM) configured to thermally regulate at least one environmental condition. The environmental control element is configured to control the environmental condition without use of an external power source, thereby allowing the apparatus to be thermally self-recharging.
Magazines for tactical medicine dispensers
Magazines that include a supporting member such as a strap, rod or chamber and one or preferably a plurality of portable medicament cases that each include a medicament provided in a package. Each case has first and second housing members that are configured to form a medicament package receiving cavity when joined together. The housing members mate together in a sealed configuration that prevents moisture or contaminants from entering into the cavity. The magazines are configured for containing a plurality of medicament cases for administration of medicaments to a group of people. Also included is a method of administering medications to mass casualties of multiple persons that are in need thereof. The medicaments are rapidly disintegratable and can include a dye that stains the person's mouth so that medical personnel can determine who has been treated with the medicament.
Wearable pillbox reminder
A wearable pillbox and a method are described. The pillbox includes a first compartment hingedly connected with a first cover and configured to store medicine to be consumed at a first dose time, a second compartment hingedly connected with a second cover and configured to store medicine to be consumed at a second dose time, the second compartment located adjacent to the first compartment and the second cover configured to open or close independently of the first cover of the first compartment, a display attached to the first cover and the second cover allowing the first cover to open or close independently of the second cover, and processing circuitry configured to transmit an alert signal to the display when the first dose time is reached.
Hermetically Sealable Case for Medical Device and Medicine
A case includes a pocket for hermitically storing medical device(s) and medicine. The case may include a manual or motorized pump that can generate vacuum pressure within the pocket to thermally insulate the pocket from the atmosphere to minimize temperature fluctuations within the pocket. The case may also include a cooling and/or heating system to control the temperature within the pocket within a desired range to prolonging the potency and the life expectancy of the drug, such as epinephrine, stored within the pocket. The case may also be equip with a communication device that can link with user's mobile device so that in case of an emergency, the communication device can alert the mobile device, which can then notify emergency personal for assistance.
