Nose arrangements for fastener setting machines, and related methods

A nose arrangement for a fastener setting tool having a punch for setting fasteners comprises a support that receives the punch and a nosepiece for guiding the punch and a fastener during a fastener setting operation. The nose arrangement defines first and second fastener transfer areas where wait to be transferred under the punch. A transfer mechanism transfers the fasteners from the first and second fastener transfer areas under the punch and comprises a movable member that can be moved between first and second configurations. In the first configuration the movable member holds a first fastener in a stand-by position under the punch while it collects a second fastener from the first fastener transfer area. In the second configuration, the movable member holds the second fastener in the stand-by position while it collects a third fastener from the second fastener transfer area.

Ergonomic Riveting Tool System

The present disclosure relates to riveting apparatuses, riveting devices, and methods for their use. An example riveting apparatus includes a pneumatically operated riveting tool having a working end for squeezing a rivet. The riveting apparatus includes a support bracket connected to the riveting tool proximate the working end, the support bracket having arms projecting on each side of the riveting tool. The riveting apparatus also includes a pair of spaced-apart edge rollers coupled to the support arms. The edge rollers are configured to rollably engage an edge of a work-piece so as to support the weight of the riveting tool and enable movable adjustment of the working end relative to the work-piece. The riveting apparatus includes a handle rotatably mounted to the riveting tool to enable axial rotation of the handle, the handle having an actuatable switch configured to selectively operate the riveting tool.

Fastening tool

A fastening tool includes a housing, a fastener-abutment part, a pin-gripping part, a motor, a driving mechanism and a handle. The housing extends in a front-rear direction along a driving axis. The driving mechanism is configured to move the pin-gripping part rearward along the driving axis relative to the fastener-abutment part. The driving mechanism includes a rotary member and a movable member configured to linearly move in the front-rear direction when the rotary member is rotationally driven. The handle protrudes downward from the housing and has a trigger. A rotation axis of a motor shaft extends in parallel to the driving axis on a lower side of the driving axis. A virtual plane including the driving axis and the rotation axis passes a center of the handle in a left-right direction. The trigger is disposed between the rotary member and a motor body in the front-rear direction.

Rivet setting tool

A rivet tool for setting a rivet, the rivet tool including a motor and a pulling mechanism. The pulling mechanism is configured to receive torque from the motor and includes a moveable member moveable between first and second positions. A plurality of jaws are configured to Clamp onto a mandrel of the rivet and pull the mandrel in response to the moveable member moving from the first position to the second position. A magnet is coupled for movement with the moveable member and includes a north pole face, an adjacent south pole face, and a pole junction therebetween. The north and south pole faces face away from the moveable member. A first sensor is configured to detect the pole junction when the moveable member is in the first position. A second sensor is configured to detect the pole junction when the moveable member is in the second position.

BLIND RIVET SETTING TOOL

A blind rivet setting tool including a channel along which the broken mandrels of set rivets can be moved and biasing means for biasing blocking means into the channel for blocking the movement of a broken mandrel along the channel whereby a broken mandrel must urge the blocking means out of the way against said bias in order to move past the blocking means.

BLIND RIVET SETTING TOOL

A blind rivet setting tool including clamping means for releasably clamping a nosepiece in place such that a blind rivet can bear against the nosepiece while the mandrel thereof is pulled; and a method of changing nosepieces using the clamping means.

FASTENING TOOL

A fastening tool includes a housing, a handle, an anvil, a pin-gripping part, a motor, and a driving mechanism. The driving mechanism is configured to move the pin-gripping part along a first axis defining a front-rear direction, relative to the anvil. The driving mechanism includes a rotary member, a movable member, a driving gear and an idler gear. The rotary member has a driven gear formed on its outer periphery and is rotatable around the first axis. The movable member is connected to the pin-gripping part and configured to be linearly moved in the front-rear direction by rotation of the rotary member. The driving gear is configured to be rotated around a second axis extending in parallel to the first axis below the first axis. The idler gear is engaged with the driving gear and the driven gear.

Mandrel collector

A mandrel collector includes a case body and an end plate. The case body has a connecting end for being connected to a rivet gun. The end plate is engaged with the case body and is opposite to the connecting end. The end plate has at least one receiving hole, wherein a hole section of the receiving hole is a hexagonal hole with six walls. The walls include three first walls and three second walls. Each of the first walls is connected between adjacent two of the second walls. The hole section is defined to have a central axis and a reference plane perpendicular to the central axis. On the reference plane, a side length of at least one of the first walls is smaller than side lengths of the second walls. With such design, the receiving hole could receive a head of an adapter and could rotate the adapter as a screwdriver.

Riveting tool accessory and riveting tool

A riveting tool accessory includes a cylinder handgrip. A rotating member and a transmission member are disposed in the cylinder handgrip. The rotating member is axially positioned and connected to the cylinder handgrip. The transmission member is circumferentially positioned and connected to the cylinder handgrip. When the rotating member rotates forwards or backwards, the transmission member is driven to move backwards or forwards. A front end of the transmission member is provided with a connecting member. A front end of the cylinder handgrip is provided with a guide nozzle assembly. The connecting member is disposed in the guide nozzle assembly in a penetrating manner. A front end of the connecting member can reach out of the guide nozzle assembly. A spring is disposed between the transmission member and the guide nozzle assembly. A safety valve mechanism is disposed between the transmission member and the connecting member.

A portable tool comprising a hollow body delimiting two chambers and comprising a shoulder and a barrel extending from the shoulder. A piston slides in the chambers and a stem is secured to the piston and is accommodated in the barrel. A C-shaped head with a first end forms a shoe which presses against the shoulder and in which is created a bore into which the barrel fits, and with a second end facing the free end of the stem. A fastening system comprises a channel on the barrel perimeter. Two sliders are slidably mounted on the shoe parallel to a plane of movement which is perpendicular to the axis of the barrel. Each slider has an arc shaped face and movable between a retracted position in which the face is accommodated in the channel and an extended position in which the face is outside the channel.
