An automatic riveting gun and a method of operating same are disclosed, the automatic riveting gun includes a gun body including a rivet cavity, a front cavity, and a main cavity; a rivet clamping assembly is disposed on the gun body adjacent to the rivet cavity; a front-dynamic structure is movably disposed in the rivet cavity and the front cavity and a main-dynamic structure is movably disposed in the front cavity and the main cavity. The front-dynamic structure includes a claw sleeve. A claw mechanism is movably disposed in the main-dynamic structure. A front elastic element provides an elastic force to the claw mechanism and a main elastic element provides an elastic force to the main-dynamic structure.

PULL RIVETING SYSTEM

The present invention provides a pull riveting system including two or more pull-rivets and a riveting device, the pull-rivet including a rivet mandrel; the riveting device including two or more rivet gun heads, each provided with a rivet gun hole; wherein each of the pull-rivets is provided with a first label; each rivet gun head is provided with a second label; when one pull-rivet is matched with one rivet gun head, the rivet mandrel of this pull-rivet is applicable to the rivet gun hole of the rivet gun head, and the first label of the pull-rivet is the same as or corresponds to the second label of the rivet gun head. The present invention has the advantageous effects that labels easily identified with naked eyes are arranged on the rivet gun head and the pull-rivet, such that the pull-rivet and the rivet gun head which are matched with each other form a simple correspondence, so that the user may rapidly identify the pull-rivet specification and the rivet gun head matched with the pull-rivet, effectively reducing the waste of the pull-rivets, lowering the damage risk to the rivet gun, and effectively improving the work efficiency.

A tool for installing a blind fastener. The tool includes a retention member and a gripping member that defines a longitudinal axis and is moveable relative to the retention member along the longitudinal axis, the gripping member further defining a receiving cavity that is elongated along the longitudinal axis, an axial opening into the receiving cavity, and a radial opening into the receiving cavity. The tool also includes a contact element at least partially received in the radial opening and a locking collar moveable relative to the gripping member along the longitudinal axis between at least a first position and a second position. In the first position the locking collar engages the contact element and urges at least a portion of the contact element into the receiving cavity. In the second position the locking collar is disengaged from the contact element.
