Automated detection of a physical behavior event and corresponding adjustment of a medication dispensing system
11363986 · 2022-06-21 · ·

An automated medication dosing and dispensing system includes sensors to detect physical movement of a user; storage media with program instructions; and a processor. The program instructions cause the processor to: detect, based on analysis of sensor readings obtained from the sensors, occurrences of gesture-based physical behavior events; store historical event information corresponding to the detected occurrences; process the stored historical event information to predict a future occurrence of a physical behavior event of interest; and adjust medication dosage and/or medication dispensing parameters in response to the predicted future occurrence of the physical behavior event of interest.

MEDICINE REMOVAL DETECTION SYSTEM
20220183929 · 2022-06-16 ·

A medicine removal detection system is provided that includes a medication device and a storage member in a sheet shape storing the medication device. The medication device includes medicine, a secondary battery, and a signal transmission unit that transmits a signal indicating a state of the secondary battery. The storage member includes the electric current supply line for supplying an electric current to the secondary battery of the medication device, and is configured such that a supply environment of an electric current to the secondary battery changes when the medication device is taken out. The signal transmission unit transmits a signal indicating a state change of the secondary battery based on a change in the supply environment of an electric current to the secondary battery of the storage member.

This device will be a nipple that will soothe a child while providing soft noise for the child as well as providing perhaps educational material at the request of the parent. The sound itself can be emitted through a speaker and can be done wirelessly through a variety of wireless means. Alternatively, a chip may also be used to store various sounds that can be changed at the request of the user either remotely or locally. Because the parent will want to know when the child falls asleep, the noise from the device will automatically shut off once the child has stopped sucking on the pacifier.

Compounding device, system, kit, software, and method

An exemplary compounding system and method can include two pump heads for simultaneously drawing two different fluids from at least two separate input containers such that the at least two different fluids are mixed and distributed to an output container. The system can include a manifold that maintains separation of certain of the different fluids until after passing by a first pump and a second pump and/or additional pumps. A junction can be placed in the fluid line downstream of the first and second pumps and/or additional pumps such that all or some of the fluids are mixed prior to output to the output container. The method of using the system can include incorporating software that selects various fluids at certain times and sequences to ensure optimum efficiency and safety for the system, and can continue compounding actions even when an input supply container runs out or otherwise fails to supply a particular fluid/material. The method of use also includes connection of a transfer set to a housing in a manner that further ensures optimum efficiency and safety.

Secure device for counting and dispensing objects

A device for counting and dispensing objects, including two elements. A first element includes a conduit for dispensing the objects to be counted and dispensed, and a second element cooperates with the first element to form two obturators which define, in the dispensing conduit a chamber suitable for containing a predetermined number of said objects. The device includes a lock moveable between a lock state wherein said lock partially obturators the dispensing conduit, and an unlock state wherein the lock is retracted outside the dispensing conduit, the lock being configured so that the position of an object present in the chamber is not affected by a change in the state of the lock.

Portable, reusable dispensing assembly having multiple operating modes

A portable, reusable dispensing assembly having multiple operating modes is provided. The assembly includes a housing having a compartment which is refillable with an elongated medication strip having a plurality of dosage form packages spaced apart along a longitudinal axis of the strip. A bi-directional, electromechanical actuator advances a first end of the strip from the compartment to a dose-ready area in the housing in a dispensing mode of the assembly and loads the strip into the compartment in a loading mode of the assembly. An actuator controller is configured to receive power and direction command signals to controllably supply DC power of a desired polarity to the actuator to control the operating mode of the assembly.

Wireless medication blister pack system and blister pack attachment

The present disclosure relates to wireless medication blister pack assembly and to a blister pack attachment to be secured to a blister pack assembly. The attachment an electronic card housing for receiving an electronic card which includes electronic components such as card connectors, and a locking system which is configurable between a locked configuration and a releasing configuration. In the locked configuration, the blister pack assembly and the electronic card are connected, with sheet connectors provided on the blister pack assembly and the card connectors being in electronic communication. Such electronic communication allows the electronic components to detect whether a given blister has been detached from the blister pack assembly. In the releasing configuration, the electronic card and the blister pack assembly can be removed from the blister pack attachment, so as to allow the electronic card to be reused with a replacement blister pack assembly.

A medication delivery apparatus, including: a housing configured to accommodate a strip of medication packages in its interior and having an outlet for outputting medication packages from the interior of the housing; a lid of the housing configured to enable access to the interior of the housing; and an electronically controllable lock mechanism positioned in the interior of the housing and configured to lock the lid in a closed position. The apparatus is configured such that the lock mechanism is configured to be controlled from the exterior of the housing by a control device.

INTELLIGENT CONTAINER SYSTEM
20220180822 · 2022-06-09 ·

Described herein is a polymorphic display, which is a unitary apparatus constructed such that a wide variety of electro-optic functions are enabled. The polymorphic display is used in an intelligent container system for monitoring and evaluating actions taken at the container system. In this way, relationships between displayed information and actions may be determined. The polymorphic display, even when having multiple pixels, enables sharing of selected structures among the pixels. In a multi-pixel construction, there is a set of pixels in the display that exhibit one set of operable properties, such as particular stability, sequencing, and switching properties, and another set of pixels that are different from the first set. That is, they have different stability, sequencing, or switching properties. In such a way, a highly flexible polymorphic display may be construed to satisfy a wide range of display needs, including novel applications on intelligent container systems.

Apparatus for monitoring the content of a container and method therefor
11351087 · 2022-06-07 · ·

Methods and apparatus for monitoring the content of a chamber of a container via electrical capacitive tomography (ECT) or acoustic imaging are presented. The three-dimensional volume of the chamber and its content are imaged by developing a map of permittivity or acoustic impedance by (1) applying a stimulus signal between each of a plurality of electrode pairs of a plurality of electrodes that is arranged about the chamber and (2), for each stimulus signal applied, measuring a response signal at each of the remaining electrodes of the plurality. Once the map of permittivity or acoustic impedance is established, the number and type of tablets (or liquid) within the chamber is determined.
