Visual analysis pill dispenser

This disclosure provides a visual analytical method of verifying dispensed pills. In a preferred embodiment, a camera captures one or more parameters of each pill as it travels along a dispense path. The camera stores the parameters, and a processor displays the parameters or evaluates whether the parameters are within a threshold limit for the dispensed pill. If the parameter is outside the threshold, the pill or the receptacle is separated and/or removed. If all the parameters are within the threshold, the pill is stored in a receptacle, and the images are processed and archived for future verification. The process is repeated for each pill in the dispenser. The system captures at least one verification image for every pill dispensed into the receptacle.

ROBOTIC DEVICE FOR DISTRIBUTING DESIGNATED ITEMS
20230025372 · 2023-01-26 ·

A device for distributing designated items includes means for autonomously moving the robotic device; storage means including multiple compartments, means for dispensing items from the storage means; a memory module containing optical recognition scans and personal information of persons located within a premise, and substantive information of the designated items, optical recognition scanners, a control module in communication with the means for autonomously moving, the optical recognition scanners, the memory and the means for dispensing. The control unit directs movement of the device, directs the optical recognition scanners to scan persons, and compares images from the optical recognition scanners to optical recognitions in the memory to identify persons. Upon identifying a person, the control unit searches personal information of the person and identifies designated items specified for that person, and then directs the means for dispensing to dispense the designated item.

Wireless medication blister pack system and blister pack attachment
11564866 · 2023-01-31 · ·

The present disclosure relates to wireless medication blister pack assembly and to a blister pack attachment to be secured to a blister pack assembly. The attachment an electronic card housing for receiving an electronic card which includes electronic components such as card connectors, and a locking system which is configurable between a locked configuration and a releasing configuration. In the locked configuration, the blister pack assembly and the electronic card are connected, with sheet connectors provided on the blister pack assembly and the card connectors being in electronic communication. Such electronic communication allows the electronic components to detect whether a given blister has been detached from the blister pack assembly. In the releasing configuration, the electronic card and the blister pack assembly can be removed from the blister pack attachment, so as to allow the electronic card to be reused with a replacement blister pack assembly.

Compounding device, system, kit, software, and method

An exemplary compounding system and method can include a transfer set that includes a manifold for assisting in transferring a plurality of ingredients from supply container(s) to a final container. The manifold can include a first channel in fluid communication with at least one primary ingredient, and a second channel in fluid communication with a plurality of secondary ingredients. The first channel and second channel can be in fluid isolation from each other such that the at least one primary ingredient does not mix with the plurality of secondary ingredients within the manifold. The transfer set can include a plurality of inlet lines in fluid communication with the manifold and two outlet lines configured for connection to two separate pumps and eventually being in fluid communication with the final container.

UNIT DOSE DISPENSING MECHANISMS

Mechanisms for dispensing items such as medications and medical supplies. Different mechanisms may be tailored to dispensing different kinds of items, for example medications in single dose packages, vials, syringes, or other similarly-shaped items. The dispensers may be placed in a dispensing unit that includes a lockable restock drawer and a dispense drawer into which items are dispensed by the dispensing mechanisms. The various kinds of dispensing mechanisms may be installed in the restock drawer in any workable proportion and arrangement. The dispensing mechanisms include multiple sensing technologies for tracking and inventory of items and for accurate sensing of items as they are dispensed.

COMPOUNDING DEVICE, SYSTEM, KIT, SOFTWARE, AND METHOD

An exemplary compounding system and method can include two pump heads for simultaneously drawing two different fluids from at least two separate input containers such that the at least two different fluids are mixed and distributed to an output container. The system can include a manifold that maintains separation of certain of the different fluids until after passing by a first pump and a second pump and/or additional pumps. A junction can be placed in the fluid line downstream of the first and second pumps and/or additional pumps such that all or some of the fluids are mixed prior to output to the output container. The method of using the system can include incorporating software that selects various fluids at certain times and sequences to ensure optimum efficiency and safety for the system, and can continue compounding actions even when an input supply container runs out or otherwise fails to supply a particular fluid/material. The method of use also includes connection of a transfer set to a housing in a manner that further ensures optimum efficiency and safety.
