SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS FOR IMPROVED MEAL AND THERAPY INTERFACES IN ANALYTE MONITORING SYSTEMS
Various embodiments of systems, devices and methods for improved meal and therapy interfaces in analyte monitoring systems are disclosed. These embodiments can determine a medication dosage to be administered with the consumption of a meal, identify meal start and meal peak response candidates, and recommend user-initiated analyte checks.
Injection Vial and Injection Vial Management System
An injection vial and injection vial management system is disclosed, wherein the injection vial is filled with a liquid medicine and signally connected with a blockchain network. The injection vial includes a bottle body and a chipset disposed within the bottle body. The chipset includes an identification label and a blockchain module. The identification label records a manufacturing process, a logistic process and a use process. The blockchain module signal connects to the blockchain network in order to record the manufacturing process, logistic process and use process in the blockchain network.
MEDICINE INSPECTION ASSISTANCE DEVICE
Inspection of a shape-fixed medicine is performed before packing. A medicine inspection assistance device includes: a medicine support part for rotatably supporting a shape-fixed medicine by a first rotating roller and a second rotating roller, and a medicine imaging part having an imaging means for imaging the shape-fixed medicine supported by the medicine support part from above. The medicine support part is configured such that a contact position between the first rotating roller and the shape-fixed medicine is located above the second rotating roller and the contact position is closer to an axis of the first rotating roller than a gravity center position of the shape-fixed medicine.
Smart medication identifying system
A smart medication identifying system is disclosed herein. It comprises a processing device including a first processing module, a scanning module electrically connected to the first processing module and a first reminding module electrically connected to the first processing module; a cloud storage device electrically connected to the processing device and having a storage module, a login module electrically connected to the storage module, and a medication information database electrically connected to the storage module; and a medication identifying device electrically connected to the processing device and the cloud storage device and having a second processing module, an image identifying module electrically connected to the second processing module and a second reminding module electrically connected to the second processing module.
GASTROINTESTINAL FEEDING TUBES WITH ENHANCED SKIN SURFACE BUMPERS
Gastric and intestinal feeding tube devices and methods can be enhanced to provide better patient outcomes. For example, this document provides gastric and intestinal feeding tube devices that include an external bumper with pressure sensors and pressure indicators that facilitate usage of the feeding tube devices within an appropriate range of skin surface pressure. This document also provides external bumpers with deflectable elements that facilitate the application of a controlled amount of force between the external bumpers and the skin surface.
PILL DISPENSING ASSEMBLY
A drug dispensing assembly for dispensing solid drug delivery vessels from a bottle includes a first layer having a vessel exit passage. A second layer is operatively connected to the first layer, and includes a vessel entry passage horizontally offset from the exit passage. A vessel dispensing layer is positioned between the first and second layers, is movable with respect to the first and second layers, and includes a holding chamber sized to receive the vessel. The holding chamber is movable from a first loading position in which the holding chamber is aligned with the entry passage and is horizontally offset from the exit passage to receive the vessel, to a second dispensing position in which the holding chamber is aligned with the exit passage and is horizontally offset from the entry passage to dispense the vessel through the exit passage. The holding chamber may be configured with a fulcrum and a ramp. Interchangeable alignment inserts and interchangeable chamber inserts may be inserted into slots within the second layer and vessel dispensing layer for receiving interchangeable inserts.
INSPECTION DEVICE, PACKAGING MACHINE, AND PACKAGE INSPECTION METHOD
An inspection device includes: an electromagnetic wave irradiator that irradiates, with a predetermined electromagnetic wave from a first film side, the package that is conveyed along a predetermined direction and that has the spaces at a plurality of positions in a width direction; an imaging device that is disposed opposed to the electromagnetic wave irradiator across the package, includes an electromagnetic wave detector including a plurality of detection elements that is arrayed along the width direction and that detects the electromagnetic wave radiated from the electromagnetic wave irradiator and transmitted through the package, and sequentially outputs an obtained electromagnetic wave transmission image every time the package is conveyed by a predetermined amount; and an image processing device that processes an image signal output from the imaging device.
Smart Bag Used in Sensing Physiological and/or Physical Parameters of Bags Containing Biological Substance
The present technology discloses a cost-effective, single use bag or container for storing biological substances that incorporates on its inner wall an electronic device that is configured to measure physiological and/or physical parameters of the enclosed biological substances, such as source history, identification, demographics, time stamping, temperature, pH, conductivity, glucose, O.sub.2, CO.sub.2 levels etc. The electronic device of the disclosed bag comprises a sensor configured to measure physiological and/or physical parameters of the biological substances enclosed within the bag, and a radio-frequency (RF) device communicably coupled to the sensor and configured to: (a) acquire from the sensor data associated with the measured parameters, (b) store the acquired sensor data in nonvolatile memory, and (c) communicate the stored data wirelessly to a RF reader.
SMART VIAL ADAPTER AND METHOD
A smart vial adapter is capable of measuring the dose of a drug that is withdrawn from a vial, measuring the time of a dose capture event, monitoring the vial temperature, measuring the amount of motion or perturbation the vial is subjected to, capturing various other parameters that can provide additional insights associated with the drug or the amount of the dose being drawn from the vial, and communicating the recorded information to a companion application on a computer, smartphone or other device. Related methods are also disclosed and claimed.
