GROOVED FORGED CARBON STEEL FITTING APPARATUS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Roll grooved pipe fittings useful in the assembly of a variety of mechanically joined piping systems. These pipe fittings are roll grooved so that they can be mechanically joined directly with other like pipe fittings and/or with roll grooved straight pipe thereby substantially simplifying assembly. In addition, hybrid pipe fittings and systems are also disclosed. Methods and apparatus for manufacturing these aforementioned roll grooved pipe fittings are also disclosed and address both the roll grooving process itself, as well as various methodology and apparatus for correcting deformations that can occur as a result of the roll grooving process. Methods for using the aforementioned apparatus are also disclosed.
Method and device for producing a hose nipple
The invention relates to the production of profiled hose nipples. The invention was based on the object of providing a method and an apparatus which allow hose nipples of the type outlined in the introduction to be produced in a simple manner such that the formation of burrs is avoided and there is no reduction in diameter. This object is achieved in that during the forming of pipe portions (1) in the apparatus (2, 7, 9) according to the invention in the region of the subsequent ring-shaped webs (4) of the nipple profile (3), the material of the pipe portion (1), at its outwardly pointing end (4), does not come into contact with the tool in the region of the parting joints (6) of the apparatus (2, 7). This can be realized by additional cavities (14) in the tool (2, 7).
Method and device for producing a hose nipple
The invention relates to the production of profiled hose nipples. The invention was based on the object of providing a method and an apparatus which allow hose nipples of the type outlined in the introduction to be produced in a simple manner such that the formation of burrs is avoided and there is no reduction in diameter. A two-piece connection between a supply pipe from a source of water and a connection to a fire sprinkler with the connector having a first or rear section entirely above a ceiling and a second or front section connected to the first section with the connection entirely above a ceiling and the forward portion of second section connected to the fire sprinkler. The first connector section, located entirely above a ceiling, has a spherical male sidewall with a rounded leading edge and a rear portion of the second connector section has a spherical female interior surface.

A method for producing a gun barrel with an integrally adjoining housing for at least one breech head includes the steps of providing a cylindrical blank having a through-bore corresponding to the breech head diameter; hammering a first longitudinal portion of the blank on a part of a first hammering mandrel corresponding to the inner profile of the barrel while the first hammering mandrel is guided through the through-bore; and hammering a second longitudinal portion of the blank on a second hammering mandrel corresponding to the inner profile of the housing while the second hammering mandrel is inserted into the through-bore.
