Systems and methods for using smart pill bottles to display prescription information to users
In some instances, a method performed by a smart pill bottle delivery device is provided. The method comprises determining one or more prescription timing intervals indicating times for the user to take one or more medication units of the medication based on retrieving a prescription for the user from memory, providing one or more visual notifications indicating for the user to take the one or more medication units based on the one or more prescription timing intervals, subsequent to providing the one or more visual notifications, detecting position information indicating an action performed by the user, and causing display of a second display screen based on the position information indicating the action performed by the user.
Medication adherence method and apparatus
Ingestible product and medical device containers validate self-administration of the product and/or corresponding use of the device over a schedule. A machine-readable optical code label such as a QR Code is affixed to an interior surface of a container containing the product or device. The container must be open to electronically read the optical code label. The label contains data associated with the product or device is read by a software application installed on a smartphone. The software receives the label-embedded data and a timestamp to validate the patient is self-administering the medication or device consistent with a schedule.
MEDICATION DISPENSING DEVICE AND METHODS
A medication dispensing device may include a plurality of trays, each tray optionally including a load cell configured to measure a mass/weight of a medication contained in the respective tray. Each tray is placeable in a medication accessible position and a medication inaccessible position. The medication dispensing device includes a user interface configured to provide instructions and/or other information with regard to access for each medication. A processor provides instructions to selectively place each tray in the medication accessible position, and to determine, based on any change in the mass of the medication placed in the medication accessible position, whether the appropriate amount of the medication is removed from the tray.
ASSEMBLY, DEVICES AND METHOD FOR PREPARING AND DISTRIBUTING MEDICINES IN PILLBOXES
The invention relates to devices for preparing (10) and distributing (40) medicines to a plurality of patients (32), said devices respectively comprising at least one preparation holder (16), one distribution holder (43) and receptacles (15) in which pillboxes (12) are inserted. The preparation and distribution holders are adapted to receive identical receptacles and the computing means of each distribution device access a database shared with the computing means of a preparation device. The invention relates to an assembly comprising at least one preparation device and at least one distribution device, as well as to a method for preparing and distributing medicines which is implemented using these devices.

Reconstitution device for IV fluids and method of use
A system is provided for storage and reconstitution of IV solutions. The system may include one or more storage and reconstitution devices each configured to store and manipulate IV solution containers containing IV solutions in crystalline form that include hydration chemicals and therapeutic drugs. Crystalline hydration chemicals may include crystalline salts and sugars. The containers may be dimensionally precise enough for mechanical manipulation and configured such that sharp objects such as needles are not needed for fluid delivery to or from the container. Each storage and reconstitution device may store stacked containers and may include components for retrieval of a container from the storage and for reconstitution of the contents therein using a sterile water source within the device. IV doses may be manufactured, under appropriate standards, that can be mechanically reconstituted to produce high-quality doses in real time on the patient care unit or in the pharmacy.
Medication dispenser
Disclosed is an apparatus useful for securely storing and dispensing medications. The apparatus comprises a cabinet, a carousel mounted in the cabinet, and medication trays carried by the carousel. The carousel comprises a plurality of vertically spaced shelves. Each shelf carries a plurality of radially extending dividers dividing the carousel into a plurality of compartments. The compartments are carried by the carousel into close alignment with a vertical slot in a cabinet wall. Each medication tray is sized and shaped to slide radially in and out of a compartment. Each tray has a base and side walls extending upwardly from the periphery of the base to define a peripherally enclosed area to hold medication doses. Fixtures are mounted in the peripherally enclosed area to vertically position card-blister packaged unit medication doses in multiples of five for visual inventory without manual manipulation of the doses, once a tray is removed from a compartment.
Solid Dosage Medicament Dispenser and Methods of Use
The present disclosure provides a solid dosage medicament dispensing system including a user interface configured to receive one or more inputs from a user, and a control system configured to perform one or more functions of the solid dosage medicament dispensing system based on the one or more inputs received from the user.
SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR ITEM MANAGEMENT
Item-management systems, apparatus, and methods are described, preferably for management of items such as medicaments. In embodiments, an item-management system comprises a container defining plural cells, a docking station configured to receive the container, sources of visible information to indicate the cell(s) into which an item is to be loaded, and at least one controller operable to control the visible information sources to indicate the cell into which the item is to be received.
SELECTIVE DISTRIBUTION OF PHARMACY ITEM DATA FROM PHARMACY ITEM TRACKING SYSTEM
Methods and systems relate to providing varying levels of detail about a pharmacy item to a patient information system based on the capabilities of the patient information system. An intercept device can receive an identifier associated with a pharmacy item based on a scanner reading a computer-readable code. The intercept device can recognize or determine the storage capabilities or limitations of the patient information system, for example by determining various medication data fields that the patient information system uses to store pharmacy item information. The intercept device can use the machine readable code to obtain pharmacy item information that is compatible with the patient information system based on those storage capabilities or limitations and can distribute that pharmacy item information to the patient information system.
