MEDICATION DISPENSING SYSTEM
A pill dispensing apparatus includes a carousel with at least one removable bin for storing pills, a vision system for identifying pills within the bin, a vacuum nozzle for removing one or more pills identified by the vision system, and a dispensing area for receipt of the removed pills.
SECURE SMART CONTAINER ASSEMBLY, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
The disclosed systems and methods provide a smart container or bin. A container bin assembly includes a bin body, a latching mechanism, and controller. A method includes receiving, via a communication interface, an authenticated request to access the smart container, actuating an electromechanical latch to disengage a fastening hook, thereby initiating a mechanical movement of an access component to make an internal compartment accessible, outputting, via an audiovisual element, an alert to identify the container, confirming that the electromechanical latch has re-engaged with the fastening hook, thereby securing the internal compartment, determining a change in a local inventory, and updating the local inventory in a non-volatile data store according to the change.
Medication dispensing tray adapter and system
Disclosed is a medication dispensing device adaptable to receive a medication dispensing tray, the tray having a slidable overlapping foil layer to incrementally expose the compartments of the medication dispensing tray. The dispensing device delivers the medication dispensed from the tray compartments to the patient through a funnel and staggered rotatable cup system to individually dispense each of the compartments of the tray.
SECURE MEDICAMENT CONTAINERS
In one or more particular implementations, a medicament case carrier is provided. Here, the medicament case carrier is provided in two parts. To secure the medicaments, a generally tubular body elongated along a longitudinal axis tubular body having an interior cavity and an open end is provided. The tubular body also includes an impact cushion is disposed within the interior cavity and configured to cushion the impact of a medicament case placed within the tubular body. The medicament case carrier also includes a cap suitable for selectively engaging the open end of the tubular body and designed to allow for selectively insertion or removal of a medicament case into or from said interior cavity; wherein the cap includes one or more input devices, a power supply and an output device.
Infusion system and components thereof
Certain embodiments provide multi-medicament infusion systems for preventing the cross-channeling of medicaments. The system may include one or more of an infusion pump, medicament reservoirs, a multi-channel fluid conduit, and an infusion set. The medicament reservoirs and/or collars may be sized and shaped differently such that the medicament reservoirs can only be inserted into the system under selected configurations.
PHAGE DISPENSING SYSTEM
A phage dispensing system comprises a user interface, a phage treatment computing system, a phage laboratory, and a phage dispensing apparatus, including a dispensing kiosk. The user interface allows a treating physician to request testing of a patient sample by the phage laboratory to identify a phage mixture treatment. The phage computing system arranges shipping of the sample and provision of the identified phage mixture treatment to a dispensing apparatus located near the patient. The dispensing apparatus has a stock of phage vials which are used to prepare and dispense doses of the identified phage mixture treatment.
MEDICATION DELIVERY APPARATUS
An assembly for delivering medication to a patient has a cartridge loadable with a coiled strip of successively, physically linked medication-containing pouches. The cartridge is inserted into a delivery unit which has an advance mechanism which engages the strip and drives pouches successively out of the cartridge. Pouches are fed successively to an inspection mechanism and a separation station. At the inspection station indicia on successive pouches representing a medication schedule are inspected and compared and validated against a separately stored medication schedule recorded at the time the medication is packaged in the cartridge. A separation mechanism mounted at the separation station is used to separate a pouch at the leading end of the strip from the adjacent pouches. At a pouch exit, separated pouches are routed to a delivery zone.
Dispenser System And Methods For Medication Compliance
A medication dispensing system is provided and includes a medicine transfer device (MTD) and a controller. The MTD transfers medicine between first and second containers. The first container initially stores medicine. The controller: determines a first predetermined amount of medicine to be dispensed from the medicine dispensing system; causes the MTD to discharge a second predetermined amount of the medicine from the first container onto the MTD, and transfer a third predetermined amount of the medicine from the MTD to the second container; subsequent to the transfer of the third predetermined amount, determine whether the second container has greater than or equal to the first predetermined amount; and if the second container has less than the first predetermined amount, cause the MTD to transfer a portion of the medicine on the MTD into the second container or discharge a portion of the medicine in the first container onto the MTD.
Drug portion packaging device
The present invention has an object to provide a drug packaging device including a printing unit configured to perform printing by jetting ink and being capable of performing the printing on a packaging paper with high printing quality without including a support base or the like for the packaging paper. A drug packaging device (10) includes a drug supply unit (20), a packaging unit (30), a packaging paper conveying unit (40), and a printing unit (60). The printing unit (60) includes an ink ejection unit (62) capable of ejecting ink downward. A conveyance path (T) of the packaging paper conveying unit (40) includes: an intersecting-direction conveyance section (T1) for conveying a packaging paper (S) in a direction intersecting an ejection direction of the ink; and a first conveyance direction switching section (46) and a second conveyance direction switching section (48) for changing the conveyance direction of the packaging paper (S) on upstream and downstream, respectively, of the intersecting-direction conveyance section (T1) in a conveyance direction of the packaging paper (S). The ink ejection unit (62) is arranged at a position spaced apart upward from the intersecting-direction conveyance section (T1) by a predetermined distance.
Medication and Identification Information Transfer Apparatus
A medication and identification information transfer system is provided that includes a primary medication container, a secondary medication container, a secondary container label and a medication information transfer apparatus. The medication information transfer apparatus, when coupled to the primary medication container, can transfer information indicative of the contents of the primary medication container to a medication delivery device such as an intelligent injection site. The medication information transfer apparatus has a shape and size enabling it to be connected to an adapter for removal of medication from the primary medication container which enables transfer of the medication to a secondary container while simultaneously transferring information about the medication in the primary medication container to the injection site. In some implementations, the medication injection site can be placed on a fluid delivery line for infusion into a patient. Related apparatus, systems, methods and kits are also disclosed.
