Medication Dose Preparation and Transfer System
Apparatus, systems, methods and articles are described to prepare and track medications and medication containers as they are prepared, administered to patients and, in some cases, disposed of. Information such as medication type, concentration, and volume are associated with medication containers during preparation and this information can later be consumed/utilized when administering the medication from a container to a patient. Disposing of any remaining medication can also be tracked.
Smart dispensing system
Embodiments relate to a system comprising a drug dispenser; a user interface to receive a user information; a bio-feedback monitoring device to monitor at least one vital of a user as an input to the bio-feedback monitoring device; a communication module; a processor; a database; a memory; wherein the processor is communicatively coupled with the memory; and wherein the processor is configured to: receive a prescription; dispense a drug through the drug dispenser on authenticating the user information with at least one vital of the user and the prescription; update an inventory of the drug through the communication module; log record of dispensing of the drug; maintain a ledger of the record of dispensing of the drug, use blockchain technology. The output of the bio-feedback monitoring device controls a quantity of drug dispensed from the drug dispenser.
System and method for making personalized individual unit doses containing pharmaceutical actives
Systems and methods for making and delivering personalized, medically prescribed pharmaceuticals to an individual patient are described. Individual unit doses (IUDs) of medicine may be prepared specific to the individual in need of same, by using a system, which includes a networked control system in combination with manufacturing assemblies specific to the IUDs and delivering the medicine to the patient directly from the manufacturer.
System and medication box for improving medication adherence
A medication adherence system and corresponding medication box for improving medication adherence. The system includes the medication box, which is transparent and has a machine-readable marker, such as a QR code, on or beneath the floor thereof. The marker is capable of being scanned and read through the transparent bottoms of individual chambers. Data embedded in the marker includes, but is not limited to, the user's medication plan, the date and time when the medication is to be ingested, and instructions for recording the date and time when the marker is scanned and read. The underlying software program/application processes this information and provides an indication as to the user's compliance with the medication plan.
MEDICATION MAGAZINES AND INTELLIGENT MEDICATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
Medication magazines including one or more compartments that hold respective sleeves of medication, as well as a respective blister card, are provided. The blister card(s) include blisters of medication, and the blister sleeve(s) include openings designed to align with the blisters of the blister card(s). The removal of medication from each blister may be automatically detected and digitally recorded, along with the time and the individual who removed the medication. In addition to permitting alignment of each blister on the blister card, the openings on the sleeve also permit the ejection of the medicine through the openings without being removed from the sleeve. Intelligent medication management systems configured to provide end-to-end management and monitoring for patient dosing regimens are also provided.
Medication and identification information transfer apparatus
A medication and identification information transfer system is provided that includes a primary medication container, a secondary medication container, a secondary container label and a medication information transfer apparatus. The medication information transfer apparatus, when coupled to the primary medication container, can transfer information indicative of the contents of the primary medication container to a medication delivery device such as an intelligent injection site. The medication information transfer apparatus has a shape and size enabling it to be connected to an adapter for removal of medication from the primary medication container which enables transfer of the medication to a secondary container while simultaneously transferring information about the medication in the primary medication container to the injection site. In some implementations, the medication injection site can be placed on a fluid delivery line for infusion into a patient. Related apparatus, systems, methods and kits are also disclosed.
MEDICATION SUPPORT DEVICE
A medication support device includes a container to store a plurality of medicine packs, a medicine dispenser in which a specific one of the plurality of medicine packs is arranged to a prescribed position, a pickup device to pick up a specific one of the plurality of medicine packs from the container, a conveyor to convey the specific one of the plurality of medicine packs picked up from the container, a medication-related information reader to read medication-related information of the plurality of medicine packs including at least a name of a patient who takes a medicine and a time of medication, a pack data management system to manage the medication-related information of the plurality of medicine packs, and a medicine dispensing data management system to read and manage medicine dispensing data including at least the name of the patient who takes the medicine and the time of medication.
Devices and Methods for Pipette Alignment
A device comprising a base and a support structure is disclosed. The base includes a vial receptacle for holding a vial. The support structure is coupled to an upper portion of the base and is configured to align a pipette comprising a pipette tip vertically over the vial receptacle. The support structure is configured to support a pipette such that an end of a pipette tip is positioned one or more predetermined depths within a vial in the vial receptacle.
Devices and Methods for Particle Solution Testing
A method for withdrawing a solution comprising a plurality of particles from a vial is disclosed. The method includes agitating the vial at a first predetermined mixing speed to suspend the plurality of particles in the solution. The method also includes withdrawing, during the agitating, a first volume of the solution from the vial with a pipette, such that an end of a pipette tip is positioned at a first predetermined depth within the vial.
