A method for packaging a medication including receiving a prescription for a patient including a name of the medication for the patient and a name of the patient, wherein the patient is one of a plurality of family members. The method further comprises receiving a family member listing from the patient identifying one or more other ones of the plurality of family members, assigning a color to the patient that differs from any of one or more colors assigned to any of the other ones of the plurality of family members identified in the family member listing, and packaging the medication for delivery to the patient including securing a color-coded member to the container for the medication. The color-coded member is the color assigned to the patient.

MEDICATION PACKAGING AND DOSE REGIMEN SYSTEM

Medication packaging includes a body defining a cavity for disposal of medication. A closure member is disposed with the body. The closure member includes an advancement mechanism and a window that displays indicia of a medication dosage regimen. The closure member is rotatable between a medication accessible configuration and a closed configuration that includes a sealing position and an advance position to incrementally advance the indicia. Systems and methods of use are disclosed.

Within the housing, there is provided, in combination, a computer processor and a computer readable medium storing computer executable instructions being executed by the computer processor, a plurality of pharmaceutical containers within the housing; each of the plurality of pharmaceutical containers having an identification means, and scanning means in communication with the computer processor adapted to read information from the identification means. The computer executable instructions include instructions identifying a pharmaceutical in each of the containers based on information in the identification means.

Talking medicine bottle and label and system and method for manufacturing the same

A talking medicine label, bottle, system and method for their manufacture are described. The system and method include use of a recording device by speaking into a microphone and then affixing the talking label to the side of a conventional pill bottle to transform it into a talking pill bottle. The system and method alternatively may include a PC/POS terminal and a speech synthesis device for programming the label with a synthetic-speech recording.

Stringed Musical Instrument Adjustable Neck Joint
20180218717 · 2018-08-02 ·

An adjustable neck system for ease of action adjustment within a wide range of possible string heights and vibrating string lengths while not impeding on the vibrating area of the soundboard and adding minimal mass to the headblock assembly and allowing for significant rigidity to allow for greatly improved tuning stability is described. The system includes a neck joint utilizing a neck that pivots into a slightly mortised headblock with a floating, cantilevered fingerboard that does not contact the surface of the soundboard. The neck heel features extensive reinforcement in conjunction with headblock reinforcement to allow for increased torque on between the captive bolts and pivot points for greater rigidity and stability without the need for locking screws. By laminating the headblock and cantilevering the fingerboard, mass and soundboard contact area is not significantly greater than with traditional assemblies for minimal effect on weight balance and tone.

Syringe Adapter with Lock Mechanism
20180200148 · 2018-07-19 ·

A syringe adapter including a housing, a cannula having a first end and second end with the second end of the cannula positioned within the housing, and a seal arrangement positioned within the housing with the seal arrangement movable within the housing between a first position where the seal arrangement is disengaged from a mating connector and a second position where the seal arrangement is engaged with a mating connector, the seal arrangement comprising a membrane. The syringe adapter including a lock mechanism, where the seal arrangement includes a lock interface that is configured to engage the lock mechanism when the seal arrangement is in the second position and when the lock mechanism is in the locked position, and where the lock mechanism is disengaged from the lock interface when the seal arrangement is in the second position and when the lock mechanism is in the unlocked position.

Connector for System for Closed Transfer of Fluids
20180200498 · 2018-07-19 ·

A system for closed transfer of fluids includes a syringe adapter including a cannula having a first end and a second end with the second end positioned within the housing, and a seal arrangement positioned within the housing and movable within the housing with the seal arrangement including a membrane. The system including a second component including a membrane and a locking mechanism. The second component configured to be received by the syringe adapter such that the membrane of the seal arrangement engages the membrane of the second component. The locking mechanism including a biasing member and an engagement member positioned on the biasing member, with the engagement member configured to engage a portion of the housing of the syringe adapter to secure the second component to the syringe adapter when the second component is received by the syringe adapter.

Networked containers designed to promote compliance with a medication regimen

Introduced here are containers designed to promote compliance with regimens for administering the medications stored therein. These containers can facilitate the conveyance of information related to a regimen through the use of a non-written medium. A container may include one or more display elements configured to emit/reflect light to indicate when medication stored in the container should be administered. An example of a display element is a light-emitting diode (LED). Emittance/reflectance of the light by the display element(s) may be governed by a different clock signal than the clock signal used to determine whether doses of medication are due to be administered.

SENSOR EQUIPPED MEDICINAL CONTAINER

Medicinal container bags are presented. Bags can include openers capable of sealing an opening of the bag. Disclosed bags further comprise electronic assemblies configured to detect opening or closing events as the openers move along the rims of the bag opening. The assemblies can compile usage data based on opener movement, and then provide the data to remote monitoring systems.
