A medication container for validating self-administration of prescription medication by a patient wherein the prescription medication is administered over a series of timed dosages. A machine-readable optical code label such as a QR Code is affixed to an interior surface of a medication container containing the medication such as the interior of the bottle cap. The container must be open to electronically read the optical code label. The label contains data associated with the medication and is read by a software application installed on a smartphone. The software receives the label-embedded data and a timestamp to validate the patient is self-administering the medication consistent with the series of timed dosages.

A responsive server, server system, and server method for automatically dispensing based on comprehensive medication authorization processing. The server may include performing automatic dispensing based on comprehensive medication information based on a complete medical history. In this respect, the disclosure provides prescription authorization checks that may include a medication search based on a complete medication history (i.e., from multiple sources, including those prescription claims not being processed through a prescription insurance carrier).

A medication container information concealment system includes a privacy label including a first side and a second side, a backing, and a tabular insert. The backing is configured to be peeled off of the second side and is detachably adhered to the second side. The tabular insert is detachably coupled to the second side via a perforated tab. The tabular insert includes tracking information. In response to a peeling off of the backing from the second side, an entirety of the second side is configured to wrap around and permanently affix to an outer surface of a container. The privacy label is configured to conceal information remaining on the outer surface of the container, leaving a portion of the first side exposed outwardly.

An apparatus for automated storage and dispensing of medications. Medications are stored in one or more inventory storage foam storage plates attached to a frame of the apparatus. Medications are delivered to the apparatus via a locked delivery container. A carrier mechanism retrieves medications from the inventory storage container and delivery container and moves medications to various subsystems of the apparatus. Information related to medications is communicated to a remote pharmacist prior to dispensing the medication. Multiple installations of the apparatus are centrally coordinated.

A combined thickness of the first lamina, the second lamina, and the oil fits within a defined volume. A first surface of the first lamina and a second surface of the second lamina is substantially flat.

A medical component is provided which includes a first portion formed of a first elastomeric material having at least one taggant embedded or incorporated therein, and a second portion formed of a second elastomeric material. The at least one taggant has a first diffusivity relative to the first elastomeric material and a second diffusivity relative to the second elastomeric material. A child-resistant medication container assembly that includes a blister card including a plurality of compartments each configured to support a dosage of medication, and a puck including a body portion, a recess that defines a partition wall in the body portion, and a plurality of openings defined in the partition wall. Each opening corresponds to one of the plurality of compartments in the blister card. The assembly further includes a carton including a first wall opposite a second wall. An access opening is defined in the first wall and a plurality of perforations are defined in the second wall. The access opening is sized to provide access to the plurality of compartments, and each perforation corresponds to one of the plurality of compartments in the blister card.
