The pill assembly also comprises a plurality of lids. Each of the lids is configured to seal a corresponding container. The containers have a top surface with a flange that is configured to receive the corresponding lid. Each lid has a surface that is configured to receive a printable indicia with patient specific information. The pill assembly may also comprise a sleeve that is configured to slidably interface with the containers.

Authenticatable coatings for pharmaceutical tablets and ingestible materials

An authenticable and machine readable coating for pills, tablets and other ingestible materials is provided. The disclosure also relates to methods of authenticating the same. The coatings are formed from a lattice of particles stacked to cause selective diffraction such that each pill or tablet has an optical signature. The signature associated with each coating can be read and authenticated. In one embodiment, the particles are substantially spherical and self-organized. In one embodiment, generally recognized as safe (GRAS) materials are used to form the particles.

A opioid taper regimen, and its method of manufacture, for use in a method of opioid reduction leading to abstinence. Said regimen is administered within the range of 2 to 4 years, or more. The regimen comprises novel approaches to common problems encountered during tapers of low dose opioid addiction. The reduction regimen is generally linear; reduces the dosage level once per week; doses every six hours; reduces doses by steps in the range of about 0.001 to 0.0500 mg; has, near the end, ten weeks of doses of about 0.0025 mg buprenorphine q.i.d.; followed by four or more weeks of placebos. Instructions for manufacture of doses that differ by 0.0025 mg and 0.0050 mg buprenorphine are specified.
