PORTABLE MEDICINE STORING AND DISPENSING APPARATUS AND METHODS
A portable medicine dispensing apparatus includes a housing supporting a dispenser, a controller, and separate medicine storing and dispensing units, each of the units when activated is for automatically depositing a pill of medicine therefrom into the dispenser; and the controller for independently and automatically activating each of the units at pre-determined times.
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for managing adherence to a regimen
Methods, systems and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, are provided for assisting users with adherence to a medication regimen. An attachable device includes a sensor module releasably attached to an adapter, which is in turn attached to a medication container using a connector. The sensor module can be removed from the adapter to change an included battery without removing the adapter from the medication container. The sensor module is in communication with a user device, such as a smart phone. A user can use an app on the user device to create a medicine regimen, or schedule, and send the schedule to the sensor module. The user can also set notification preferences on the user device to be sent to the sensor module. The sensor module includes audio and/or visual transducers that notify the user to take the medication at the scheduled times. The sensor module further includes one or more buttons that are pressed when a user opens the medication container. The button(s) are configured so the action of the user required to open the container also presses at least one button. The sensor module records the actions of the user, including when the medication container is opened, when a dose of the medication is missed, and when the user presses a mood indication button. The user actions can be transmitted to the user device, which can then transmit the recorded actions to a server. The sensor module may be configured to attempt communication with the user device on a periodic basis to conserve battery life.
SMART HEALTH MANAGEMENT DEVICES AND SYSTEMS
The present disclosure provides smart health management devices and systems. The smart health management devices and systems may improve the medication adherence of a user. The smart health management device may comprise a body having a plurality of compartments, one or more proximity sensors, an short-range communication interface, and a one or more computer processors. The smart health management device may be controlled by a mobile electronic device of the user through the computer processors.
Method and system for improving and assisting in medication compliance
A medication adherence system for facilitating adherence to a medication dosage schedule is provided, comprising a smart case to receive or adhere to a medication pack, a sensor for detecting a medication event, and a tangible computer readable medium interface for users to obtain feedback regarding their adherence to their respective medication dosage schedules.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DYNAMIC BIOMETRIC DETECTION AND RESPONSE
Systems and methods of dynamic biometric detection and response are provided for the purpose of establishing baseline health status while conveying real-time drug prescription usages and reactions from baseline data. The dynamic monitoring system may be embedded within a wristband, ring, vest, and/or waistband in wireless communication with a computing device or server. Each wearable device may employ interchangeable and embedded sensors to detect inertia movements; 360-imaging fall detections; and a variety of body-emitting vital signs. The system may include a processor operable to sense user location, motion, activity, and biomarkers for the purpose of detecting the user's behavior pattern, wherein an enhanced machine-learning algorithm is used to identify repetitive actions within the user's behavior pattern; and, based upon this pattern, the system is able to detect one or more anomalies for the purpose of generating an anomaly alert for third party notification and quantitative analysis at a server.
Smart bottle used for storing liquids and medications and a method for reminding timely intake thereof
A smart bottle used for storing liquids and medications is disclosed. The smart bottle includes electronics, memory, and a processor that causes alarms and reminders for user to take their medications in a timely manner. The bottle shaped smart bottle is essentially an electronic device with liquid and medication storage compartments. It includes speaker for providing audible alerts to the users as well as their caregivers. It also includes a microphone that can be used by the user or caregiver to provide instructions relating to the intake of medication or to assist patients that have hand or finger arthritis. The bottle has a longitudinal and circular body with a cap that can be twisted on/off at its top. The top, or the cap, is a smart cap that carries core intelligence and electronics. It comprises a microprocessor, in-built real-time clock, speaker and lights for intuitive alarms and microphone to hear the voice of user for ease of use. The microprocessor is communicatively coupled through an electronic circuit to a plurality of electronic components housed within the smart bottle. These include alarms, microphone, displays, transmitter for sending out information, and an antenna for wireless connectivity. The longitudinal main body of the smart bottle is circular in shape and includes a chamber for storing liquids, such as water or other liquid. It also has compartments on its front and back side for storing a plurality of pills and medications. The smart bottle is wirelessly connected to a server. It has the capability of connecting to a patient database to obtain all patient related information as well as medication information and hours of administration information. The smart bottle fetches prescription data automatically when linked to Pharmacy. At the time of intake for a pill, the smart bottle reminds user for respective dosages through use of lights or audio alarms. The smart bottle also sends alerts to a caregiver and stored adherence and compliance data to a server. To do so, the smart bottle uses the transmitter to send alerts to mobile phone for reminding the user to take the medication or to send an alert to a caregiver. The smart bottle also includes GSM and GPS modules. GPS mode allows the smart bottle to be located based on a GPS search. The GSM feature allows the user to make and receive calls from the smart bottle. One method of operating the features of the smart bottle is through maneuvering and selecting preferences in a mobile application that is communicatively connected to the smart bottle. Another method of operating the features of the smart bottle is by having the user speak into the microphone and providing instructions. T
