An air supply device supplies air when a movable mold is opened such that the air passes through gaps formed between an outer peripheral surface of the intermediate portion and an inner peripheral surface of the through hole and between the distal end portion and the fixed mold, and flows out to the movable mold.
VACUUM CENTRIFUGAL CASTING APPARATUS
A vacuum centrifugal casting apparatus includes an upper mold having an upper vacuum hole communicating with both a cavity and a space over the upper mold, a lower mold including a lower vacuum hole corresponding to the upper vacuum hole, the lower vacuum hole communicating with both the cavity and a space under the lower mold, a motor configured to rotate the upper mold and the lower mold, a vacuum retaining member having an outer diameter corresponding to the upper vacuum hole, with a molten metal injection hole formed in an upper end of the vacuum retaining member, and a vacuum pump configured to be operated by the motor, and including an inlet communicating with the lower vacuum hole, and an outlet formed to exhaust drawn air.
CASTING MOLD
Provided is a casting mold with which it is possible to apply air-blow to a bottom part of a groove in a core without moving forward/backward the core relative to the mold body. This casting mold is provided with a first mold and a second mold for forming, between the first mold and the second mold, a cavity used to produce a cast article, wherein the second mold has a second mold body and a core, which protrudes from the second mold body in a first direction toward the first mold and is used to forms a hollow part in the cast article, the core is provided with a groove part that opens in the first direction and is recessed in a second direction opposite from the first direction, and the second mold is provided with an air supply flow passage for supplying air for blowing toward a bottom part of the groove part.
Low-pressure casting device and low-pressure casting method
A low-pressure casting device is provided with a holding furnace, a stoke, a pressure control device and a molten-metal level sensor. The holding furnace holds molten metal. The stoke supplies molten metal into a casting mold via a sprue. The pressure control device moves the molten metal in the stoke and fills the molten metal in the casting mold. The molten-metal level sensor detects a surface level of the molten-metal in the stoke. The stoke has a lower end immersed in the molten metal in the holding furnace. The low-pressure casting device is configured to correct filling of the molten metal in the casting mold in a next casting based on the height of the molten metal surface detected by the molten-metal level sensor.
CASTING MOLD FOR METAL SHEET
The present invention relates to a casting mold for a metal sheet by drawing molten metal into a mold cavity and cooling the molten metal, and the casting mold according to the present invention includes: a support portion at an upper side on which molten metal is disposed or a solid metal is placed and melted; a mold cavity at a lower side in which the metal sheet is formed as the molten metal is drawn from the support portion while filling the mold cavity and cooled; and a passageway through which the molten metal is drawn into the mold cavity from the support portion, in which the mold cavity includes a first surface at the upper side which communicates with the passageway, and a second surface at the lower side which faces the first surface, a plurality of suction portions for drawing the molten metal are formed in the second surface and extended downward from the second surface, the suction portions are connected to a vacuum source and configured to draw the molten metal by suctioning air from the mold cavity, and a blocking member, which is in contact with the second surface or the suction portions to prevent a leakage of the molten metal and allow an air flow, is disposed on the suction portions in the mold cavity.
