A filter element is fixed in the feeder body of the filter feeder. The invention also concerns a device suitable for carrying out the process.
METHODS FOR PRODUCING 2024 AND 7075 ALUMINUM ALLOYS BY RECYCLING WASTE AIRCRAFT ALUMINUM ALLOYS
The present invention relates to techniques for producing 2024 and 7075 aluminum alloys by recycling waste aircraft aluminum alloys, which belong to technical fields for circular economy. The present invention develops techniques for obtaining the 2024 and 7075 aluminum alloys by subjecting waste aircraft aluminum alloys as raw materials to pretreatment, smelting, impurity removal, melt ingredient assay, ingredient adjustment, refining, and casting. Through utilizing the waste package aluminum alloys and the waste aluminum pop-top cans to adjust the ingredients, the waste aircraft aluminum alloys would be recycled at a lower cost without downgrading. The present invention has some advantages, such as low cost, and applicability for industrial production, as well as prominent economic benefit.
SPIRAL-ORIFICE CERAMIC FILTER FOR METAL CASTING
A spiral-orifice ceramic filter for metal casting, including spiral channels and two drain openings, where the spiral channels are distributed in a ceramic substrate in a staggered manner. By adoption of the spiral channel structure, molten metal may rotate to generate a centrifugal force while flowing forwards so as to promote separation of inclusions. The spiral-orifice ceramic filter for metal casting includes the following components: 90-95 wt % of MgO, 4-8 wt % of SiO.sub.2 and 2-4 wt % of ZrO.sub.2. Therefore, the spiral-orifice ceramic filter for metal casting has high strength under normal temperature and optional thermal impact resistance under high temperature, and may tolerate the impact of molten metal at 1700° C. or higher without break. The ceramic substrate and the spiral channel are superficially coated with one layer of functional oxide prepared from CaO.2Al.sub.2O.sub.3, CaO.6Al.sub.2O.sub.3, Al.sub.2O.sub.3, TiO.sub.2, or Re.sub.2O.sub.3.
ALUMINUM-BASED ULTRA-THIN LAUNDER
The present invention relates to the field of alloy-smelting facilities, and provides an aluminum-based ultra-thin launder. The launder has a body with a wall thickness of 12 mm to 25 mm. The body has a segmented structure, including a part of alloy in, a first launder, a second launder and a part of alloy out that are connected in sequence. The body of the launder provided in the present invention is lighter and thinner. The cost of production and use is reduced due to the significantly-decreased wall thickness and weight. The connection mode for components of the body is changed, which is beneficial to the replacement, and fundamentally lowers the risk of a repair material contaminating melted alloy.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MOLDED PART AND FEEDER INSERT FOR USE IN SUCH A METHOD
The invention relates to a method for producing a mold part (26, 26) with a feeder insert arranged in it, with a sprue for liquid metal, for a divisible casting mold for metal casting, with the following steps: producing or providing a mold part (26, 26) equipped with a closed feeder insert (2, 2) from a compacted molding material (28), the closed feeder insert (2, 2) being arranged fixed in place in the compacted molding material (28) of the mold part (26, 26) and having a feeder opening (10, 10) connected to regions of the mold cavity (30, 30) that is to be formed, and opening the closed feeder insert (2, 2), so that a sprue (32, 32) for liquid metal is formed.

The net winding device (3) comprises a filter screen winding shaft (3.1), a filter screen winding drum (3.3) and a net winding power device (3.2). The filter screen winding shaft (3.1) comprises a conical hollow shaft body, and a strip-shaped net binding hole is axially provided in the hollow shaft body. The filter screen winding drum (3.3) comprises two arc-shaped plates (3.5) hinged together, and the two arc-shaped plates (3.5) can be driven by the net winding power device (3.2) to be opened and closed along a hinged shaft to wrap the filter screen winding shaft (3.1) without shielding the net binding hole. The net binding device (4) comprises an automatic stapler (4.1) and a stapler base mould (4.5), and the stapler base mould (4.5) of the net binding device (4) can be inserted into the hollow shaft body of the filter screen winding shaft (3.1). The automatic stamper (4.1) can cooperate with the stapler bottom mould (4.5) through the net binding hole to complete a net binding operation. The equipment can stably and reliably finish the net supplying, feeding, winding and binding process, is smooth in equipment operation, and is suitable for popularization and industrial production in the industry.
FILTER HANDLING TOOL
A molten metal filter box. The filter box includes a filter housing provided in a flow path for molten metal. A horizontal partition is disposed within the filter housing and has at least one filter receiving passage. A filter medium in the shape of a substantially flat plate is positioned within the filter receiving passage and below an inflow path of the molten metal. The filter medium includes a hole. A filter handling tool is disposed within the hole. The filter handling tool can optionally include a handle secured to the molten metal filter box to suspend the filter medium. Advantageously, the filter medium can be removed by grasping the filter handling tool and removing the filter medium.

Filter For The Filtration Of A Liquid Metal
A filter for filtering a liquid metal and to be received in a mold housing defined by internal side and face walls. The filter has a top wall and side walls extending downwardly from the top wall, the side walls being joined together at respective corners. The side walls extend downwardly towards distal end portions. The corners of the filter have a stiffness or rigidity that is higher that the remainder of the filter for increasing the strength of the overall filter and for helping the filter to maintain its shape and integrity throughout casting. The shape of the side walls allows an easy and consistent placement of the filter in the mold housing and ensures that the filter is maintained in place.
