REPAIR OF CORE POSITIONING FEATURES IN CAST COMPONENTS
An investment casting process for manufacturing a cast component is provided. The investment casting process includes forming a core, casting the cast component about the core such that a core positioning feature provides a location of an anticipated pilot hole in the cast component, removing the core from the cast component once the casting is completed, locating, forming and sizing a pilot hole to form a resized pilot hole that can receive a sealing plug and installing the sealing plug into the resized pilot hole.

LEACHABLE CASTING CORE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A leachable casting core and method of manufacture may include a plurality of legs configured to establish a plurality of internal flow channels of a cast component. Tie bars, with a first tie bar end and a second tie bar end opposite thereof, may couple to at least two of the plurality of legs. At least one of the tie bars may be oriented to form a linking cavity within the cast component between the internal flow channels. The linking cavity may serve as an obstruction to fluid communication through the linking cavity.

REDUCED CROSS FLOW LINKING CAVITIES AND METHOD OF CASTING
A cast component having reduced cross flow linking cavities and method of casting may include a body. The body may define a plurality of internal flow channels. The plurality of internal flow channels may include a first internal flow channel and a second internal flow channel. The cast component may also include a plurality of linking cavities obstructing unintended fluid communication between the first internal flow channel and the second internal flow channel through the plurality of linking cavities.

INVESTMENT CASTING CORE BUMPER FOR GAS TURBINE ENGINE ARTICLE
A gas turbine engine article includes an article wall that defines a cavity, a cooling passage network embedded between inner and outer portions of the article wall, and at least one conical passage through at least a portion of the inner portion of the article wall. The cooling passage network has an inlet orifice through the inner portion of the article wall to receive cooling air from the cavity, an outlet orifice through the outer portion of the article wall, and an intermediate region of passages that connects the inlet orifice to the outlet orifice. The conical passage has a first end that is proximate the cavity and a second end that opens at the intermediate region of passages.
Core assembly including studded spacer
A core assembly for a casting system according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a core that includes a body and at least one hole formed through the body and a spacer that extends through the at least one hole. The spacer includes a stud portion and a chaplet portion configured to abut a surface of the body that circumscribes the at least one hole.

Turbine Blade Casting with Strongback Core
A method for casting a blade, the blade with an airfoil having: a tip having at least one of a tip pocket and a tip shelf. Each said at least one of a tip pocket and a tip shelf having a base surface and a sidewall surface. The method includes forming a shell, the forming of the shell including shelling a pattern having at least one ceramic casting core; and casting in the shell, the shell having a first portion formed by the at least one ceramic casting core and a second potion formed by applied shell material. For at least a first tip pocket or tip shelf of the least one of a tip pocket and a tip shelf, the at least one ceramic casting core molds the base surface and the sidewall surface and an adjacent portion of at least one of the pressure side and the suction side spanwise inboard of the base surface.
