A device for casting electrode carriers for the production of lead grid electrodes in a continuous casting process is provided, which includes a casting drum, the surface of which has been engraved with the shape of the lead strip to be cast, and a casting shoe which rests on the outer circumference of the casting drum in the region of the horizontal axis drawn through the axis of rotation when the casting drum rotates counterclockwise, whereat the exiting liquid lead flows into the concave mold of the casting drum surface and is removable as a solidified lead strip at the lower vertex of the casting drum after three quarters of a rotation and whereat draft angles of less than 7 degrees, in particular less than 3 degrees are provided.
Machine for manufacturing continuous bars of nonferrous metal by continuous casting
A machine for manufacturing continuous bars of nonferrous metal by continuous casting includes a movable casting shell, composed of segments arranged in succession, each one having a portion defined, with a bottom and flanks, of the casting shell, and open on the sides directed toward the contiguous segments. The contiguous segments are movable along a closed path that has a substantially rectilinear portion at the casting region. Along the portion, the segments are substantially aligned and define a portion of the casting shell, with bottom and flanks, which is continuous, substantially rectilinear and closed, for at least one portion of the path downstream of the casting region, by a closure component.

BATTERY COMPONENT CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINE WITH QUICK-CHANGE BELT CASTER WHEEL ASSEMBLY AND METHOD INVOLVING SAME
A battery component continuous casting machine is equipped with a quick-change belt caster wheel assembly. Battery components produced include lead-based metal grids for lead-acid battery types, as well as lead-based metal foils for bipolar battery types. Caster wheels of the quick-change belt caster wheel assembly are more readily installed and uninstalledmaking removal and replacement procedures easierwhile preserving precision tolerances often demanded for proper manufacture of the battery component grids and foils.
Continuous casting mould
The mould contains a casting wheel, on the outer surface of which an open channel is made, a continuous tape adjacent to the casting wheel from its outer surface in such a way as to close the specified open channel, as well as a cooling system able of adjustable supply of coolant to the casting wheel and the continuous tape at least on the outer surface, on the inner surface and on both side surfaces of the wheel, in which the ratio of the coolant flow on the inner surface of the wheel to the coolant flow on the outer surface of the wheel is 1.9-3.0, and the ratio of the total coolant flow on the side surfaces of the casting wheel to the coolant flow on the inner surface of the casting wheel is 1.3-1.7.
VENTING BELT CASTER WHEEL ASSEMBLY OF BATTERY COMPONENT CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINE
A belt caster wheel assembly for a battery component continuous casting machine. The battery component can be a continuous strip of metal grids or a continuous strip of bipolar metal foils. The belt caster wheel assembly, per an implementation, includes a rotatable caster wheel and a moveable belt. One or more gas vents are established in the rotatable caster wheel. The gas vent(s) fluidly communicates with a mold cavity of the rotatable caster wheel. Gas bubbles, voids, and/or other unwanted imperfections in the ultimately-produced battery components can be partly or entirely resolved with the employment of the gas vent(s).
