Roller stand having elastically mounted supporting rollers
A roller stand for a continuous billet casting machine, having a carrying frame for mounting at least one lower supporting roller and at least two lateral supporting rollers. The lateral supporting rollers are mounted elastically on the carrying frame by means of at least one passive elastic element, and have an amount of elasticity at least in a direction perpendicular to the axes of rotation of the lateral supporting rollers. A method for determining the position and/or the shape of a billet is provided. During passage through at least one roller stand, alterations in the position at least of the lateral supporting rollers relative to a reference are detected and, on the basis of this information, the shape of the billet and/or the position of the billet in relation to the center line of the billet-guide channel are/is determined.

Continuous casting method of cast slab
A continuously casting method including arranging temperature measuring elements according to specified conditions, selecting as evaluation targets for temperatures of copper plates on a wide face of mold values measured by the temperature measuring elements arranged closer to a center in a width direction of a cast slab than short sides of the cast slab under continuous casting at levels of 50 mm or more lower in a slab withdrawal direction than a meniscus of a molten steel in a mold, and adjusting a casting condition such that a standard deviation of the values measured over the width direction of the copper plates on the wide face of mold at a same level in the slab withdrawal direction is 20° C. or lower.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING CONVEYORS DURING CASTING
A metal casting system includes a master conveyor, a slave conveyor, a cutting device, and a control system. The master conveyor includes a first belt and a first motor, and the slave conveyor is separated from the master conveyor and includes a second belt and a second belt. The cutting device is between the master conveyor and the slave conveyor and selectively cuts a metal product that is conveyed by the master conveyor and the slave conveyor. The control system includes a sensor that detects ends of sections of the metal product as the sections of the metal product move in a downstream direction. The control system also includes a controller communicatively coupled with the sensor. The controller selectively controls at least one of the first motor or the second motor based on the detected ends from the sensor.
REAL-TIME MONITORING METHOD AND STABILITY ANALYSIS METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING PROCESS
A real-time monitoring method for continuous casting process and a stability analysis method for continuous casting process includes several sub-processes divided according to the process sequence of the continuous casting process. The real-time monitoring method includes: determining the current sub-process of continuous casting process according slab length data and slab speed data, performing an abnormality diagnosis on the real-time data of key parameters corresponding to the current sub-process, and generating abnormality diagnosis results corresponding to the current sub-process. The stability analysis method provides: dividing actual data of key parameters into data segments corresponding to a plurality of sub-processes, inputting the actual data of key parameters belonging to the corresponding data segments into a stability feature model, outputting a stability feature index, performing abnormality diagnosis on the stability feature index, and generating an abnormality diagnosis result corresponding to the corresponding sub-process based on the output of the abnormality diagnosis.
CONTINUOUS STEEL CASTING METHOD
Conditions for soft reduction are determined in a method of continuous casting in accordance with a method utilizing the thickness of a slab strand to prevent center segregation from occurring in the strand due to an insufficient pressing rate or internal cracks from occurring in the strand due to an excessively high pressing rate.
COPPER ALLOY FOR BEARING AND BEARING
There are provided a copper alloy for a bearing and a bearing in which a Mn—Si compound is prevented from being broken and becoming a foreign matter. The copper alloy for a bearing and the bearing according to the present invention contain 25 wt % or more and 48 wt % or less of Zn, 1 wt % or more and 7 wt % or less of Mn, 0.5 wt % or more and 3 wt % or less of Si and 1 wt % or more and 10 wt % or less of Bi, the balance consisting of inevitable impurities and Cu, and are characterized in that the average width value among Mn—Si primary crystal particles dispersed in a sliding surface on which a counter shaft slides is 3 μm or more.
Method for the continuous casting of a metal strand in a continuous casting installation and a continuous casting installation
A method for the continuous casting of a metal strand in a continuous casting installation, in which, in a casting machine, the metal formed into a slab, with a still molten core, is brought out vertically from a mold, wherein, downstream of the mold in the conveying direction, the slab is made to move along a casting bow, through a number of casting bow segments, and is deflected into the horizontal, wherein each casting bow segment has a number of segment rollers, which are designed for coming into contact with the surface of the slab. In the region before the end of the casting machine, a number of segment rollers are lifted off from the surface of the slab, or are not installed in receptacles provided, and so the contact between the slab and the segment roller is interrupted or there is no contact.
