Die casting machine
A die casting machine includes a clamping device which opens and closes and clamps a pair of die halves, an injection apparatus which performs injection to the pair of die halves by making a plunger move forward in a sleeve communicated with a space between the pair of die halves, and a control device which controls the clamping device and injection apparatus. The control device includes an injection control part and press-use clamping control part. The injection control part controls the injection apparatus so as to start the injection in a state where the pair of die halves face each other through a gap. The press-use clamping control part controls the clamping device so that the die contact and clamping are carried out after the start of injection. Further, the injection control part performs control for decelerating the plunger before the plunger stops.

CONTAMINANT-PURGING COLD CHAMBER DIE CASTING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A die casting insert for producing die casted metal parts from liquid metal. The die casting insert has an outer casing shaped to be fixed in the die block of the die casting apparatus. The die casting insert also has a stopper with a purge opening that is adapted to evacuate contaminants topping the liquid metal as pressure is applied to the liquid metal. The stopper, fitted to mate with the hollow inner cavity of the injection sleeve, is constructed to seal the hollow inner cavity of the injection sleeve except at the purge opening when in a first position; and to permit the flow of the liquid metal into at least one molding cavity when the stopper is in a second position. The die casting insert also has an activation mechanism configured to shift the stopper between the first position and the second position.

Die-casting apparatus, die-casting method, and diecast article
A die casting method and apparatus are provided, thereby making it possible to produce a thin diecast product that has hitherto been considered impossible to realize, and a diecast product is also provided. A semi-solidified metallic material is formed having particles in solid phase of a particle size less than 30 m, and is thereupon injected into a die. A die casting machine has a sleeve into which a melt of metallic material is poured, and the semi-solidifying material there when it has a certain proportion of solid phase reached is injected into the die with a plunger to which pressure is applied. The melt of metallic material is poured into the sleeve so that the material occupies inside the sleeve at a proportion in vertical cross-sectional area of 30% or less. The particle size in this semi-solid material is held unvaried in a product as diecast.

SEMI-SOLID SLURRY GENERATOR AND HIGH PRESSURE DIE CASTING METHOD
Disclosed are a semi-solid slurry generator and a die casting method which can obtain a dense structure in the entire cross section of a molded product by uniformly dispersing and stirring an inert gas in a slurry compared to a conventional one. The die casting method comprises: a step of immersing a rotating diffuser in a molten metal contained in a ladle to rotate and stir the molten metal while being supplied with an inert gas, or rotating and stirring the molten metal and the inert gas, which are sucked into a pumping impeller, while being ejected through a hole provided on a side surface of the impeller by stirring the same, such that the molten metal is cooled while gas bubbles caused by the inert gas are uniformly dispersed in the molten metal, thereby forming a semi-solid slurry; and a step of pressurizing and injecting the semi-solid slurry into a mold of a molding machine.
DIE CASTING MACHINE
A die casting machine is provided with a movable platen for holding a movable mold, a stationary platen for holding a stationary mold, and tie bars inserted into insertion holes provided in the movable platen and the stationary platen, the movable platen being arranged so as to be capable of advancing to and retreating from the fixed platen along the tie bars. A hollow section is provided in at least one of the movable platen and the stationary platen.
