High-Pressure Die Casting Apparatus And Method
A high-pressure die casting apparatus including a shot sleeve extending through a first die half to a molding surface, and a plunger received in the shot sleeve is provided. The shot sleeve includes a side wall presenting a fluid passageway and a partial end wall disposed in a fixed position relative to the side wall. The partial end wall defines a wall opening adjacent the molding surface. Fluid is poured into the shot sleeve while the die apparatus is open, and the partial end wall prevents the fluid from flowing out of the shot sleeve. The plunger then presses the material into the mold cavity until only a portion of the material remains in the shot sleeve and blocks the wall opening. After the solidified material is ejected from the apparatus, the portion of material blocking the wall opening prevents lubricant from entering the shot sleeve.

NEW MODIFIED SILICON OIL FOR LOW TEMPERATURE CURE DIE CASTING LUBRICANTS
The present invention relates to a mixture of polyalkylsiloxanes that cure at temperatures of about 170 C. while being unreactive under ambient conditions during storage or transport and which are obtained through a hydrosilylation reaction wherein a mixture of ethylenically unsaturated olefins consisting of 1-100% of one or more polyene(s), and 0-99 mol % of monounsaturated olefins with 6 to 15 carbon atoms is reacted with an amount of one or more polyalkylhydrosiloxanes in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst. Furthermore, the present invention relates to water-based compositions suitable for use in metal casting processes as a mold release agent comprising a mixture of polyalkylsiloxanes of the invention and a non-ionic surfactant. In addition, the present invention relates to the use of the polyalkylsiloxanes and mixtures of polyalkylsiloxanes as defined herein.
Process and plant for producing components made of an aluminium alloy for vehicles and white goods, and components obtained thereby
A plant and a process are disclosed for producing components made of an aluminum alloy for vehicles and white goods, through the steps of: providing thixotropic billets made of an aluminum alloy; sizing the billets depending on a ratio between weight and size of the component to be produced, thereby obtaining crop ends of material; heating the crop ends in a range of temperatures during which both a solid phase and a liquid phase coexist with a prevalence in the solid phase (more than 50%) in heating means (5); loading, through loading means (9), the crop ends in an injecting vessel made of non-magnetic steel for further workings; removing, through scalping devices, an external part of the crop ends that has become cooled when passing from the heating means (5) to the loading means (9); firstly injecting the crop ends through a press; secondly injecting the crop ends through the press in 18 milliseconds by using a closed-loop control system and increasing the injection unit power with respect to a closing unit of the press; thirdly injecting the crop ends by coining the finished part in order to remove all porosities; extracting the molding through extracting means (13); depositing the molding onto a conveyor belt (15); and controlling a quality of the obtained molding, the molding being then sent to downstream mechanical workings and/or an heat treatment.
NEW MODIFIED SILICON OIL FOR WAX-FREE DIE CASTING LUBRICANTS
The present invention relates to a mixture of polyalkylsiloxanes obtainable through a hydrosilylation reaction wherein a mixture of monounsaturated olefins is reacted with an amount of one or more polyalkylhydrosiloxanes in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst. Furthermore, the invention concerns polyalkylsiloxane comprising alkyl side chains consisting of linear or branched alkyl groups with 40 to 60 carbon atoms, with 16 to 30 carbon atoms, and 6 to 15 carbon atoms. In addition, the present invention relates to water-based compositions suitable for use in metal casting processes as a mold release agent comprising a mixture of polyalkylsiloxanes, a non-ionic surfactant having a HLB value of at least 8, and less than 20 wt.-% of waxes. In addition, the present invention relates to the use of the polyalkylsiloxanes and mixtures of polyalkylsiloxanes.
HIGH TEMPERATURE HEAT-RESISTANT OIL-BASED RELEASE AGENT, HIGH TEMPERATURE HEAT-RESISTANT ELECTROSTATIC APPLICATION-TYPE OIL-BASED RELEASE AGENT, AND APPLICATION METHOD THEREFOR
An oil-based release agent of the present invention contains a petroleum-based hydrocarbon solvent (a) and a high temperature adhesive (b), is applied to a metal die used for die casting or casting, has high adhesion and high lubricity even with respect to a metal die at a high temperature particularly of 300 C. or higher, and can prevent seizure. In addition, the present invention provides a method for applying the oil-based release agent of the present invention by controlling an adhesion amount thereof by micronization and speed-control thereof with respect to a metal die at a high temperature, and an electrostatic application method.
