Casting apparatus
A casting apparatus for a cylinder block prevents deformation of a core pin and a cast passage formed by the core pin due to impact of molten metal when casting. Embodiments include a first side mold having a first core pin, a second side mold having a second core pin, a third mold having a molten metal inlet, and a metal dowel. The molten metal inlet is disposed so the inflow direction of molten metal intersects the axial direction of the first and second core pins, which are butted against each other at mold clamping and constitute a core for forming a main gallery for lubricant. The metal dowel is disposed between the molten metal inlet and a butt portion between the first and second core pins so that the butt portion is covered by the metal dowel from the upstream side in the inflow direction of the molten metal.

A base plate is a portion of a housing of a disk drive apparatus, including a base body defined by a metal die cast member, and an electrodeposition coating film covering at least a portion of a surface of the base body. The base body includes a bottom plate rectangular as viewed from an axial direction, and a pivot post. The bottom plate extends perpendicular to a rotation axis of a disk and a swing axis of a head. The rotation axis extends vertically. The swing axis is disposed in a different position from the rotation axis and extends vertically. The head reads or writes information from or to the disk. The pivot post protrudes upward from an upper surface of the bottom plate along the swing axis, and a portion of the die cast member is segregated.

A die-cast mold for die casting aluminum includes a first die having a first mold surface, a first multilayer coating disposed over the first mold surface, a second die having a second mold surface, and a second multilayer coating disposed over the second mold surface. The first multilayer coating includes a first base layer and the second multilayer coating includes a second base layer. The first die and the second die mate to form a mold cavity. Characteristically, the first base layer and the second base layer are each independently composed of a zirconium nitride or a zirconium carbide.

A die-cast mold for die casting aluminum includes a first die having a first mold surface, a first multilayer coating disposed over the first mold surface, a second die having a second mold surface, and a second multilayer coating disposed over the second mold surface. The first multilayer coating includes a first base layer and the second multilayer coating includes a second base layer. The first die and the second die mate to form a mold cavity. Characteristically, the first base layer and the second base layer are each independently composed of a zirconium nitride or a zirconium carbide.
Casting device of large non-ferrous metal thin-walled structural component and casting method thereof
A casting device of a large non-ferrous metal thin-walled structural component. A liquid outlet of the casting device is communicated with a casting sand box. The casting device comprises an L-shaped liquid storage cylinder, a pressure supplying cylinder, and a crystallization treater. Protective gas with the first gas pressure can be inflated into the top of the L-shaped liquid storage cylinder. The pressure supplying cylinder and the L-shaped liquid storage cylinder are integrally connected to form a U-shaped tube connector. Protective gas with the second gas pressure can be inflated into the top of the pressure supplying cylinder. A liquid inlet of the crystallization treater is communicated with the pressure supplying cylinder while a liquid outlet is communicated with the pouring system and the mold cavity. The crystallization treater is provided with a grain refining mechanism.
