System and methods for removing core elements of cast components
A system and methods are provided for removing core elements of cast components. In one embodiment, a method includes controlling a first high temperature autoclave cycle for a cast component in a vessel with a first solution concentration to remove at least a first portion of core elements, wherein the first solution concentration, temperature and pressure in the vessel are controlled to expose one or more casting pins in the cast component. The method may also include controlling a second high temperature autoclave cycle for the cast component in the vessel with second solution concentration, wherein the second solution concentration, temperature and pressure in the vessel during the second high temperature autoclave cycle are controlled to loosen one or more of the casting pins from the cast component, and controlling one or more low temperature autoclave cycles to remove core and casting pins from the cast component.
Method for Casting Cast Parts
A method for casting cast parts in which a casting mould is provided. The casting mould is enclosed in a housing, forming a filling space between an inner surface section of the housing and an associated outer surface section of the casting mould. The filling space is then filled with a free-flowing filling material and molten metal is poured in the casting mould. As a consequence binder of the mould material begins to vaporise and combust disintegrating the casting mould. During the filling of the filling space, the filling material has a minimum temperature, starting out from which the temperature of the filling material rises, to beyond a boundary temperature at which the vaporising binder ignites and combusts.
Method for producing an aluminium alloy foam by moulding
A method for producing an aluminum alloy foam wherein an aluminum alloy, in molten form, infiltrates the interstices of a preform of silicon elastomer elements, by means of a conventional molding process, typically a low-pressure process, followed by the elimination of the preform broken down into silica powder during the molding cycle and/or an additional baking cycle.
SOLUBLE CORE FOR HIGH-PRESSURE CASTING AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
According to the method for manufacturing a soluble core for high pressure casting, the method for manufacturing a core by dispersing a heat-resistant hard ceramic powder in a water-soluble chemical salt having a melting point 140 C. to 260 C. lower than a melting point of a cast metal and a heat capacity of 90 J/(mol.Math.K) or more is a very useful technology that can easily manufacture a core for high pressure casting of metals such as aluminum and magnesium, and a method for extracting a core from casting can also be simply performed by heating and extracting the core at a temperature equal to or lower than the melting point of the cast metal, and since the core material can be recycled, it is very advantageous in terms of productivity and economy.
System and method of preparing a metal object for machining
A system and method of preparing a metal object for machining, wherein the metal object comprises at least two working portions that are to be machined and that are connected to remote sides or ends of an intermediate portion of the metal object, the method comprising: inserting the intermediate portion into a casting mold, such that the at least two working portions protrude from the casting mold; pouring a liquid metal material into the casting mold so as to cover the intermediate portion; allowing the liquid metal to cool, thereby forming a cast bulk surrounding the intermediate portion of the metal object; and removing the casting mold, whereby the cast bulk enables machining of the at least two working portions to be carried out while the second cast segment is being held.
