Composite member and method for manufacturing composite member
A composite member is manufactured by a manufacturing method including adding, on a surface of a base member composed of a first material, a second material different from the first material, using additive manufacturing employing directed energy deposition as an additive manufacturing process. The manufacturing method is performed by placing the base member in a machining area of a machine tool configured to perform subtractive machining. Accordingly, a composite member can be obtained that is manufactured through additive manufacturing and that is in a state in which the composite member can be promptly machined.
Method for making a metal part with a complex geometry with a thin wall
A method for producing a thin-walled metal part with complex geometry includes mixing a metal powder with a polymer binder in order to obtain a composite mixture, producing a flexible composite sheet from the composite mixture, cutting, in the flexible composite sheet, a preform based on a contour of the metal part, applying the preform in a mold having a surface configured with a relief of the metal part, and debinding and sintering the preform in order to obtain the metal part.

Metal laminating/shaping device
A metal laminating/shaping device includes a base, a head unit including a base material injection device, and drive devices that change a positional relationship between the base and the head unit in a spatial coordinate system. The base material injection device includes a base material heating unit that heats a base material that is a metal piece having a fixed shape such that a temperature of an interior of the base material is raised to a temperature below a melting point and a temperature of a surface of the base material is raised to the melting point, and a base material injection unit that injects the heated base material toward the base. The metal laminating/shaping device can form a metal shaped article having a complicated structure at a low cost.
Powder for dust core and dust core
A powder for dust core used for a dust core includes a plurality of crystal grains, and the powder has at least two maximal values when a number ratio that is a ratio of the number of the crystal grains at each crystal grain diameter to the number of the crystal grains each crystal grain diameter of which has been measured is plotted with respect to each crystal grain diameter of the crystal grains.

Sintered body manufacturing method
A sintered body manufacturing apparatus includes a compacting apparatus configured to press a raw powder containing a metal powder into a green compact, a machining apparatus configured to perform a cutting operation on the green compact to produce an unsintered materials, and a green compact conveying path configured to connect the compacting apparatus in series to the machining apparatus to convey green compacts one by one from the compacting apparatus to the machining apparatus.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SINTERED COMPONENT WITH A TOOTHING
A method for producing a sintered component, in particular an annular sintered component, with a toothing, having teeth with tooth roots, tooth tips and tooth flanks, includes the steps of pressing a powder to form a green compact, sintering the green compact, and hardening the sintered component, wherein after sintering, the tooth flanks and possibly the tooth tips are post-compacted and subsequently undergo post-processing by machining, and wherein a transition region between the tooth flanks and the tooth roots has an undercut design, and post-compaction of the tooth flanks is carried out only up to this transition region.
