METHOD FOR FABRICATING COMPONENTS USING HYBRID ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING AND CONSOLIDATION PROCESS
A method of fabricating a near net shape component includes forming a sacrificial shell from a pulverant material using an additive manufacturing process, the shell having an aperture. The method further includes filling the shell with a second pulverant material, subjecting the filled shell to a consolidation process, and removing the shell from the consolidated second pulverant material.
WIRE ARC ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING-SPINNING COMBINED MACHINING DEVICE AND METHOD
Wire arc additive manufacturing-spinning combined machining device and method are provided. The machining device includes a spinning mechanism and a fused deposition modeling mechanism. The spinning mechanism includes a machine tool and a spinning head. The spinning head is installed on the machine tool by a main shaft, and the main shaft is configured to drive the spinning head to rotate to achieve the movement in three vertical directions. The spinning head includes a spinning base and balls. Each of the balls is installed in a corresponding one of arc grooves at a bottom of the spinning base. The fused deposition modeling mechanism includes a moving track, a robot and a heat source generator. The arc moving track is arranged around the machine tool in a surrounding mode. The robot is movably installed on the moving track. The heat source generator is installed at a tail end of the robot.
AUTOMATED DESIGN GENERATION FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING WITH AN ACCESSIBLE SUPPORT VOLUME
A method includes receiving a representation of an initial design domain. The method also includes iteratively generating intermediate part designs by redistributing material within the initial design domain. The intermediate part designs each include a 3D part and a support volume. The method also includes calculating a measure of inaccessibility of the support volume of each intermediate part design by at least one subtractive tool assembly. At least one of the intermediate part designs is generated based at least partially upon the measure of inaccessibility of a previous one of the intermediate part designs.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ABRASIVE OXIDE REMOVAL IN ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING PROCESSES
Systems and methods for removing an oxide layer in an additive manufacturing process are provided. A direct write machine may be used to create wire bonds for semiconductors. The direct write machine may deposit a conductive print material between bond pads to create interconnections. The bond pads may comprise aluminum and an aluminum oxide layer on an outer surface. The presence of an aluminum oxide layer may decrease the electrical connection between the wire bond and the aluminum substrate. To remove the aluminum oxide layer, an abrasive tool is provided to ultrasonically abrade the aluminum oxide layer while the conductive print material is being deposited. The conductive print material may include abrasive additives materials to further aid in abrading the aluminum oxide layer.

Additive manufactured conglomerated powder removal from internal passages
A component includes an additively manufactured component with an internal passage; and an additively manufactured elongated member within the internal passage. A method of additively manufacturing a component including additively manufacturing a component with an internal passage; and additively manufacturing an elongated member within the internal passage concurrent with additively manufacturing the component.
Element comprising a non-stick surface and method for three-dimensional printing such an element
An element comprising a non-stick surface for substantially cleanly removing a product which is arranged against said non-stick surface. The element comprises a first layer of an pervious material, which is configured to allow a fluid to flow there through. An outer surface of said first layer provides the non-stick surface. The element comprises a second layer of an impervious material, which is configured to substantially block a flow of fluid there through. The second layer is arranged at a side of said first layer opposite to the outer surface. The element comprises ducts or chambers which are arranged in said first layer or in between said first and second layer. Said ducts or chambers are arranged in fluid connection with said pervious material and are configured for feeding a pressurized fluid to the pervious material. At least the first layer is formed using a three-dimensional printing tool.
