Deburring tool
A deburring tool has a hollow top portion having an interior conical surface and an exterior surface. The exterior surface of the deburring tool is preferably conical. The top portion has a plurality of flutes formed therein and extending between the interior and exterior surfaces. Each of the flutes has a cutting edge formed at the interior conical surface. In operation, rotation of the deburring tool about a longitudinal axis removes burrs projecting from bar stock contacting the interior conical surface. A method of deburring bar stock comprises: (a) rotating the deburring tool about a longitudinal axis, and (b) contacting the bar stock to the deburring tool interior conical surface.
EXTERNAL DEBURRING TOOL
A deburring tool includes a deburring head and a shaft portion connected to the deburring head. The deburring head includes a conical hollow body, a primary cutting edge and a secondary cutting edge both formed on the conical hollow body. The conical hollow body has at least one flute extending between interior and exterior conical surfaces of the conical hollow body, and at least one recessed cutout defined in the interior conical surface. The primary cutting edge is formed at a junction of a wall surface of the flute and a bottom surface of the recessed cutout. The secondary cutting edge is formed at a junction of a wall surface of the recessed cutout and the interior conical surface.
Cartridge case preparation rotor device
The cartridge case preparation rotor device trims cartridge cases to overall length correctly and further prepares them for reloading. The rotor holds multiple case preparation tools so that the user may conveniently and precisely apply them more squarely to a turning cartridge case. The rotor slides and turns on a rod mounted opposite a variable speed motor fitted with a chuck turning a case holder. Flexibility of the rod and oscillation of the rotor permit each tool to follow case eccentricity. An enlarged grip on the case holder simplifies installation and removal of cases. A neck cleaning tool cleans the inside and outside of the case neck simultaneously. The rotor may be slid along and turned upon the rod manually, or the motor and rotor can be mounted on a progressive press. The pushbutton control switch can be pressed by hand, or set on the floor as a foot switch.
Method for Reducing the Regenerative Chatter of Chip-Removal Machines
The invention relates to a method for reducing regenerative chatter in that a workpiece (1) rotates in relation to a tool head (2) having at least one chip-removal tool (3, 3a, 3b, 3c) arranged at one end of the tool head (2), the tool head (2) machines walls of the workpiece (1) by means of the at least one chip-removal tool (3, 3a, 3b, 3c), the tool head (2) is vibrationally excited during the machining, a loose additional mass (m.sub.z) is moved by the vibration, which additional mass randomly touches the tool head (2) in first positions or randomly has no connection to the tool head (2) in second positions, and thus the total mass of the tool head (2) is randomly changed by the amount of the additional mass (m.sub.z).
Tube scraper with biased blades
A tube scraping apparatus comprises a body having a passageway for receiving a piping component; and a first blade and a second blade. The first blade and second blade each: are mounted to the body and shiftable between a first condition and a second condition; and having an engagement portion positioned to engage an outer diameter (OD) surface of the received piping component in at least one condition, the first blade engagement portion comprising a cutting edge for removing material from the OD surface. The second blade engagement portion comprises a partial thread for engaging the piping component to convert a rotation of the piping component relative to the body to an axial movement of the piping component relative to the body.
Cutting tool for trimming workpiece
A cutting tool includes a body including a connecting end, a cutting end which includes a space for receiving the work piece, at least one projection with a ridge defining at least one cutting edge for cutting the work piece, and at least one slot for allowing pieces trimmed from the workpiece to exit from the body. The space has a top and a bottom and tapers outwardly from the top to the bottom. The at least one cutting edge has a first end adjacent to the top of the space and a second end adjacent to the bottom of the space and extends from the first end to the second end obliquely. The body is rotatable about a first axis, and the first axis extends longitudinally between the first and second ends of the body.
Peeling device
The invention relates to a device (10) for the at least partial removal of the outside circumferential surface of a pipe consisting of plastic, comprising a hollow cylindrical housing (12), with a wall that surrounds a cylindrical interior space that accommodates the body in an axially moveable manner, at least one opening in the wall as well as a cutting element (74) that is associated with the opening (62) and with its cutting section projects into the interior space. To be able to remove the outside circumferential surface of the pipe in an unproblematic manner and to the desired degree, it is suggested that the cutting element (74) in a front view exhibit a disc or ring geometry and be connected to the housing (12) by a fastening element that extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the cutting element, whereby the cutting element can be connected to the housing in the desired position by rotating it about its longitudinal axis.
Compact case trimmer
A method and apparatus for sizing ammunition cartridge cases includes a cartridge case trimmer including a cylindrical housing, a mandrel detachably coupled to a longitudinally-oriented opening formed in a first side of the cylindrical housing, the mandrel having a first end including a cutting tool disposed in a slot on the first end and comprising one or more notched cutting surfaces, the mandrel having a second end opposing the first end, the second end protruding from the first side of the cylindrical housing and sized to be received in a chuck, a bearing disposed within the cylindrical housing adjacent to a second side of the cylindrical housing, and an insert comprising a tapered region disposed in an inside diameter of an inner ring of the bearing.
Conduit reamer
A conduit reamer with a lanyard receiver, inner and/or outer cutting blades is provided. The lanyard receiver is located along an axis of the handle near the tool's center of gravity. For example, the lanyard receiver is located between the handle and a bit retainer near the center of gravity. In this orientation, the lanyard receiver prevents tipping of the conduit reamer and retains the bit within the bit retainer when the conduit reamer is dropped. The inner and outer cutting blades include an acute angle that is between 45 and 90 degrees to deburr an end of a conduit.
