In each index position of the cutting insert on the support seat, only one corner abutment surface is in operative contact with one of a plurality of protruding supporting members of the support seat, and only the at least one inner abutment surface located on the opposite side of the lateral plane from the operative corner abutment surface is in contact with the at least one remaining supporting member.
CUTTING TOOL
Provided is a cutting tool that implements both high positioning accuracy and simple operation when the cutting tool is installed in a tool rest. The cutting has: a tool a main body which includes a fixing seat fixing a cutting insert or a cutting edge; and a position pin, which includes a cylindrical portion that is used for positioning the main body by being abutted to an abutting surface of a tool rest in a case of installing the main body in the tool rest, and which is detachable from the main body. The main body includes a female screw hole that is provided with a female screw portion and a tapered surface that is symmetric with respect to a center axis of the female screw portion and that widens toward an opening thereof. The positioning pin includes a male screw portion that engages with the female screw portion, and a contact portion located at a connecting portion that connects an end of the cylindrical portion and an end of the male screw portion. In a case where the male screw portion is engaged with the female screw portion and the positioning pin is installed in the main body, the contact portion contacts the tapered surface, and a center axis of the cylindrical portion and a center axis of the tapered portion match with each other.

DOUBLE-SIDED, INDEXABLE TURNING INSERT AND TURNING TOOL
Indexable, double-sided turning inserts for turning operations and and a turning tool are provided with cutting edges at alternating corners on opposite sides of the insert. Chipbreaker structures can be provided without interfering with providing large supporting surfaces. When the insert is used in a cutting operation, chips from one of the cutting edges in use are unlikely to damage cutting edges that are not in use but are on adjacent corners.
Tool system
Tool system 1 comprising a tool holder 2 that has an insert seat 17 for receiving a cutting insert 6, and comprising a clamping element 4 that has an opening 26 for receiving a clamping means 15, an interface 30 being arranged between the tool holder 2 and the clamping element 4, and channels for the purpose of cooling by means of a fluid being arranged in the tool holder 2 and the clamping element 4, and a sealing means 31 being arranged in the region of the interface 30.
Blade positioning structure of disposable milling cutter
A blade positioning structure of a disposable milling cutter includes a cutter body and a disposable blade. The cutter body is peripherally provided with a blade seat. By passing a screw through the disposable blade and the blade seat, the disposable blade is locked to the blade seat. The blade seat has a blade seat surface and a sidewall; the blade seat surface has a groove; the disposable blade has a bottom surface provided with a projection corresponding in shape to the groove; and when the disposable blade is locked to the blade seat, the blade seat surface and the groove of the latter lie respectively and tightly against the bottom surface and the projection of the former.
TOOL BODY, INSERT SUPPORT MECHANISM AND CUTTING TOOL
A cutting tool has an insert receiving pocket provided with a base surface. The base surface has a screw hole, and second and third engagement surfaces which are brought into contact with a first engagement surface formed in the lower surface of the cutting insert, thereby suppressing shifting of the cutting insert during cutting. The base surface is divided into four areas by a first boundary which passes through the screw hole's center point, and a second boundary is perpendicular to the first boundary and also passing though the center point. The second engagement part is formed on the outer side surface side relative to the first boundary and on the base end side relative to the second boundary, and the third engagement part is formed on the outer side surface side relative to the first boundary and on the leading end surface side relative to the second boundary.
Cutting insert having structured tool flanks
The invention concerns a cutting insert comprising an upper and a lower surface and one or more edge surfaces which connect the upper surface and the lower surface together, wherein provided at the transition of at least one edge surface at least to the upper surface is at least one cutting edge, wherein the upper surface adjoining the cutting edge is in the form of a chip surface and the edge surface adjoining the cutting edge is in the form of a tool flank. To provide a cutting insert in which the chip break range is enlarged and the risk of damage to the cutting insert and/or the tool and/or the workpiece by coiling chips is reduced it is provided according to the invention that at least one recess is provided in the tool flank at a spacing from the cutting edge.
MILLING INSERT AND A MILLING TOOL
A milling insert suitable for shoulder milling includes a side surface extending between an upper and lower side and a cutting edge having a primary and a secondary cutting edge portion. The side surface includes an axial support surface opposite of the secondary cutting edge portion. The lower side includes a locking groove extending longitudinally, and a lower contact region formed to bear on a fastening member. The upper side has an upper contact region arranged to bear on a top support member of a tool in which the milling insert is mountable. A milling tool is provided with a top support member for bearing on the upper contact region of the milling insert, a locking ridge for locking with the locking groove, and an axial contact surface for supporting the axial support surface. A fastening member presses the milling insert against the top support member and the locking ridge.
CUTTING TOOL
Tool for machining a workpiece having a cutting insert with at least one cutting edge. Moreover, the tool has a tool holder, which extends along a holder longitudinal axis and has at a workpiece-side end a cutting insert receptacle for receiving the cutting insert, the cutting insert receptacle having an upper clamping finger and a lower clamping jaw. Furthermore, the tool has a wedge-shaped clamping element, which is fastenable in the cutting insert receptacle for wedging the cutting insert in the tool holder. In addition, the tool comprises a fastening element for fastening the clamping element in the cutting insert receptacle and for wedging the cutting insert in the tool holder.
