CUTTING TOOL, CUTTING TOOL HOLDER, TOOL SYSTEM, AND COMMUNICATION METHOD
A cutting tool includes a cutting insert having a cutting edge; a holder holding the cutting insert; a sensor provided in the holder; and an information communication circuitry that is provided in the holder, transmits an inquiry for parameter information related to measurement by the sensor to a management device provided outside the cutting tool, and acquires the parameter information from the management device.
Cutting insert having lower anti-slip recess, insert holder and cutting tool
A cutting insert includes an insert peripheral surface that includes at least one planar major insert side abutment surface and an insert lower surface that includes an anti-slip recess recessed therein. The anti-slip recess includes at least one elongated and straight anti-slip groove. Each major insert side abutment surface is oriented parallel to a groove longitudinal axis of a respective anti-slip groove. An insert holder includes a holder pocket. The holder pocket includes a pocket peripheral surface which includes planar major pocket side abutment surface and a pocket base surface having an elongated and straight anti-slip rib. When the cutting insert is releasably attached to the insert holder, to constitute a fastened position of a cutting tool, the anti-slip rib is located in the anti-slip groove that is oriented parallel to the major insert side abutment surface that abuts the major pocket side abutment surface.
Cutting insert and milling tool
A cutting insert includes a first end surface and a second end surface, in which a first peripheral side surface includes a first rake surface adjacent to a first main cutting edge and a first concave surface connected to the second end surface and formed to be recessed from the first rake surface toward a central axis of a through hole, and the first concave surface has a first restraint surface provided at a position where a distance between the first restraint surface and a second main cutting edge is smaller than a distance between the central axis of the through hole and the second main cutting edge, when viewed from a direction parallel to the central axis of the through hole.
CUTTING TOOL, CUTTING INSERT AND HOLDING TOOL
The present invention provides a cutting tool that can firmly hold four types of cutting inserts by one tool main unit. A cutting insert of a cutting tool 1 has an approximately triangular stereoscopic shape including three corner portions. A tool main unit has a fixing portion that can selectively fix a plurality of types of cutting inserts, including: a negative type cutting insert of which angle of the corner portion exceeds 60°, a positive type cutting insert of which angle of the corner portion exceeds 60°; a negative type cutting insert of which angle of the corner portion is less than 60°; and a positive type cutting insert of which angle of the corner portion is less than 60°. The fixing portion has a bottom face that contacts with a bottom face of the cutting insert, and a side wall face that contacts with a side face of the cutting insert. A portion, which contacts with the cutting insert, of the side wall face of the fixing portion differs depending on the type of the cutting insert.
Adjustable holder for a cutting tool
A holder for a cutting tool for processing of workpieces has a first part for holding a cutting tool (150), a second part (120) to which the first part is fastened, and a fastening element (140). An adjustment element adjusts the position of the first part in relation to the second part. The first and second parts have a first bore and a second bore for receiving the fastening element and a recess (118, 128) for receiving the adjustment element. The first part has an abutment surface (115) placed onto a contact surface (122) of the second part, such that the central axes (A-A) for the first and second bores become parallel. The abutment surface of the first part and the contact surface of the second part are inclined in relation to the feeding axis (G-G) of the work piece towards the cutting tool (150).
Cutting insert and cutting tool
The invention relates to a cutting insert having a polygonal upper side. Cutting edges, which are alternately configured as roughing cutting edges and finishing cutting edges, are provided at the edges of the upper side. The finishing cutting edges define an incircle (K1) having a diameter that is enlarged in comparison to a nominal size of the cutting insert, and the roughing cutting edges define an incircle (K2) having a diameter that is reduced in comparison to the nominal size of the cutting insert. The invention further relates to a cutting tool having a tool body on which at least one such cutting insert is disposed.
Miniaturized cutting plate
The invention relates to a cutting plate for a chip-removing cutting tool, comprising a cutting plate top face and a cutting plate bottom face, one or more lateral faces, cutting edges at the transition between the cutting plate top face and the one or more lateral face, and a circular chip recess in the cutting plate top face that has an outside diameter d1. In order to reduce the production costs, according to the invention the following applies to the outside diameter d1 of the chip recess: 2 mm<d1<=6 mm, preferably 2 mm<d1<5 mm.

Tip dressing cutter
A low-cost tip dressing cutter causing no accumulation of swarf around a breaker is provided. A surface of a breaker 5 facing a cutting plate 4 corresponds to a recessed surface 52. The diameter of the recessed surface 52 gradually decreases with increasing distance from the outer periphery of the recessed surface 52 facing the cutting plate 4 in a direction opposite to the cutting plate 4. A through hole 51 is formed at the center of the breaker 5, A screw 6 inserted through the through hole 51 is screwed to a fastening hole 33a of a holder 3 to attach the cutting plate 4 to the breaker 5.
TURNING TOOL CUTTING INSERT AND TURNING TOOL
A turning tool cutting insert having an insert face with a rake face includes a primary land extending along a first cutting edge. The primary land includes a first primary land portion adjacent a linear edge portion, and a second primary land portion adjacent a central portion of the corner edge portion. The first primary land portion differs from the second primary land portion. A transitional primary land portion adjoins the first primary land portion and the second primary land portion, and forms a transition between the first primary land portion and the second primary land portion. The transitional primary land portion is arranged only adjacent an outer portion of the corner edge portion. Further, a turning tool including a turning tool cutting insert is disclosed.
