Cutting tool holder
A cutting tool holder according to one embodiment supports a cutting insert including a rake face, a flank face, and a cutting edge. The cutting tool holder according to one embodiment includes: a holder body having a seat face on which the cutting insert is placed; a pressing member that positions and fixes the cutting insert to the holder body; and a fixing member that fixes the pressing member to the holder body. The pressing member has: a front end portion close to the cutting edge; and a base end portion distant away from the cutting edge. The front end portion is provided with a first coolant ejection hole. A first flow path is provided inside the holder body. A coolant reservoir and a second flow path are provided inside the pressing member.
CUTTING INSERT
A ridgeline between the top surface and the side surface includes: a nose cutting edge portion having a curved line shape, the nose cutting edge portion having a first end and a second end opposite to the first end; a major cutting edge portion contiguous to the first end; and a wiper cutting edge portion contiguous to the second end. The top surface includes: a first rake face contiguous to the wiper cutting edge portion; a second rake face contiguous to the major cutting edge portion; and a third rake face contiguous to the nose cutting edge portion and contiguous to each of the first rake face and the second rake face. A boundary line between the second rake face and the third rake face is separated from the first end and is contiguous to the major cutting edge portion.
CUTTING INSERT, CUTTING TOOL, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MACHINED PRODUCT
A cutting insert may include an upper surface, a lower surface, a front lateral surface and a rear lateral surface. The upper surface may include an upper constraining surface. The lower surface may include a lower groove having a V-shape. The lower groove may include a first region, a second region, a third region a first portion and a second portion. A length of a line segment connecting the first portion and the second portion in the first region may be a first length, a length of a line segment connecting the first portion and the second portion in the second region may be a second length, and a length of a line segment connecting the first portion and the second portion in the third region may be a third length. The first length may be larger than each of the second length and the third length.

Turning insert
A turning insert includes a top surface, an opposite bottom surface and a reference plane located parallel to and between the top surface and the bottom surface. A nose portion has a convex nose cutting edge, a first cutting edge and a second cutting edge. The nose cutting edge connects the first and second cutting edges. The first and second cutting edges form a nose angle (α) of 71-85° relative to each other. The nose portion includes a third convex cutting edge adjacent to the first cutting edge and a fourth cutting edge adjacent to the third convex cutting edge. The fourth cutting edge forms an angle (β) of 10-30° relative to a bisector. The distance from at least a portion of the fourth cutting edge to the reference plane increases as the distance from the nose cutting edge increases.
Cutting tool with indicator substance
The invention relates to a cutting tool having at least one cavity arranged in the cutting tool, spaced apart from an outer contour of the cutting tool by a wear layer, wherein a thickness of the wear layer corresponds to a wear limit of the cutting tool, wherein an indicator substance is arranged in the cavity.

Insert and cutting tool assembly comprising same
A cutting insert and a cutting tool assembly for cutting a workpiece. The cutting tool assembly includes a cutting insert having an upper surface that has a quadrilateral shape so as to include first to fourth insert corner portions, and a shim configured to support the insert. The insert includes an upper surface and a lower surface on which first to sixth inclined mounting portions are respectively formed. The shim simultaneously supports the first to third inclined mounting portions, or simultaneously supports the fourth to sixth inclined mounting portions.
CUTTING INSERT AND TOOL HAVING SUCH A CUTTING INSERT
Cutting insert for a tool for machining. The cutting insert is particularly suitable for grooving tools for grooving turning. The cutting insert has a chip breaker geometry in its cutting region, which enables both machining of full cuts and machining of partial cuts as well as machining of webs. In particular, due to the shape of a chip cavity provided in the cutting region and due to the presence of a negative chamfer, very short chips can be produced in all three machining variants, so that a high level of process reliability is ensured and long tool lives are made possible.
INSERT AND CUTTING TOOL
An insert includes a base which includes a first surface, a second surface connecting to the first surface, and a cutting edge located on at least a part of a ridgeline of the first surface and the second surface. The first surface includes a plurality of grooves located at a position away from the ridgeline and extended at an angle of 20-90° relative to the ridgeline. The grooves are away from the ridgeline in a range of 40-700 μm. A width W of the grooves is 50-700 μm, and a depth D of the grooves is 20-700 μm. Spacing S between the grooves adjacent to each other is 50-700 μm. A cutting tool includes a holder, which has a length extending from a first end to a second end and includes a pocket located on a side of the first end, and the insert is located in the pocket.
