TOOL CLAMP DEVICE AND MACHINE TOOL
A cutting tool rest (31) includes a clamping mechanism part (131) and a first piston (61). First piston (61) includes a first facing section (63) and a second facing section (64), and clamping mechanism part (131) includes a lever (135). First piston (61) reciprocates between a first position at which lever (135) and first facing section (63) are in contact with each other to operate clamping mechanism part (131) in a clamped state and a second position at which lever (135) and second facing section (64) are in contact with each other to operate clamping mechanism part (131) in an unclamped state. Cutting tool rest (31) includes a second piston (71) that moves first piston (61) to a third position between the first position and the second position. When first piston (61) is located at the third position, lever (135) is separated from first facing section (63) and second facing section (64).
Numerical controller having cutting control function through turret rotation
A numerical controller includes a command analysis unit that generates movement command data by analyzing a program command and an axis travel calculation unit that, when the program command commands movement of a tool in a direction of a first straight axis orthogonal to an axis of rotation of a workpiece, converts a command value based on the program command for the movement of the tool in the direction of the first straight axis into a command value for a rotation angle of a turret, and a position of the tool is controlled in accordance with a rotation command for the turret based on the command value for the rotation angle of the turret calculated by the axis travel calculation unit, instead of the command based on the program command for the movement in the direction of the first straight axis.
COUPLING DEVICE
The invention relates to a coupling device for the reversible establishment of a drive connection between a driving unit (13) of a tool turret and a driven unit (46) of a tool receptacle (36) which is attached to the tool turret and in which a machining tool is able to be received, said coupling device being characterized in that, in a coupling position, a drive shaft (14) of the driving unit (13) is engaged by way of its external toothing (32) with an internal toothing of a driven shaft (44) of the driven unit (46), and in that, for a collision-free orientation of the external toothing (32) with respect to the internal toothing, before coupling, an orienting device is used, which passes through parts of the driven shaft (44) and has a control means on one side for the cooperation with the drive shall (13) and an orienting means that is actuable by the control means on the other side, said orienting means being securable to the tool receptacle.
Machine tool
A machine tool includes a spindle capable of holding a workpiece and rotatable on a spindle axis and a tool post on which a tool is attachable to machine the workpiece held by the spindle. The tool post includes a first turnable holder turnable on a first turning axis perpendicular to the spindle axis. The first turnable holder has a first tool unit mounting part where a rotary tool is attachable. The tool post further includes a second turnable holder turnable on a second turning axis perpendicular to the spindle axis and different from the first turning axis. The second turnable holder has a second whirling tool mounting part where a thread whirling tool is attachable.
Tool exchanger
A tool exchanger includes a variation detection unit configured to detect a variation periodically generated by turning operation of a turret; and a turret phase detection unit configured to set a tool indexing reference phase of the turret based on a detection result from the variation detection unit.
METAL LATHE AND TOOLING CALIBRATION
Systems and methods for lathe and tooling calibration are disclosed. A sensor is utilized to measure dimensions and operational parameters of one or more components of a lathe, such as a turret, tool stations, and/or a spindle. Tool measurements are received and analyzed along with the measurements from the sensor. The dimensions and operational parameters may be utilized to calibrate movement parameters of one or more components of the lathe. Once calibrated, the lathe may be utilized to tool one or more objects.

Turret tool post and machine tool equipped with turret tool post
A turret tool post includes a turret turnably supported by a post body, turret turning part having a turret turning shaft and the like to turn the turret, a tool attachment part turnably holding a rotatable tool and attached to the turret, and tool-attachment-part turning part turning the tool attachment part to turn the rotatable tool. The tool-attachment-part turning part and the turret turning part are provided independently and arranged to face each other. The tool-attachment-part turning part includes a tool turning motor installed inside the turret and an attachment-part transmission shaft connected to the tool turning motor.
Machine tool
The present invention relates to a machine tool including a ram spindle and a tool holder, and provides a machine tool comprising: a tool holder including at least two inserts; and a ram spindle capable of fixing the tool holder in a clamped state or rotating the tool holder in order to change the position of the insert, such that the position of the insert can be quickly changed, thereby enabling an improvement in productivity and precision and a reduction in product costs.
