Universal tool for removing broken threaded fasteners
A guide for drilling holes into broken threaded fasteners includes an oblong bar having a stepped slot along its length and a drill guide at one end. Securing sliders travel along the stepped slot and are secured to a structure to be repaired by threaded fasteners through the sliders. Once secured with the drill guide aligned over the broken threaded fastener (possibly with the assistance of an optical sighting device to mark the central axis of the drill guide), the operator drills through the drill guide and into the broken fastener. The tool is removed and the broken fastener can be extracted by various means.
FASTENER ALIGNMENT SYSTEMS, FASTENER ALIGNMENT KITS, AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Fastener alignment systems, fastener alignment kits, and associated methods are disclosed herein. The fastener alignment systems include a fastener orienting structure, a fastener alignment tool, and a transfer structure. The fastener orienting structure is configured to orient a plurality of fasteners in a predetermined fastening location pattern. The fastener alignment tool is configured to operatively engage with the fastener orienting structure at a predetermined relative orientation, to receive a corresponding fastener in each of a plurality of fastener alignment receptacles, and to retain the corresponding fastener. The transfer structure is configured to selectively transfer the plurality of fasteners from the fastener orienting structure to the fastener alignment tool. The fastener alignment kits include the fastener alignment tool and the plurality of fasteners. The methods include methods of utilizing the fastener alignment system.
Lug nut removal tool
A lug nut removal tool enables a user to remove a seized lug nut from a threaded stud. The lug nut removal tool comprises a drill bit which is drilled through a guide which can be adjusted in size by a collar. The drill bit comprises a plurality of blades separated by slots; the plurality of blades are mechanically coupled to cutting edges. The guide comprises guide slots which can be used to align the guide about the seized lug nut. In this manner, the user can attach the guide onto the seized lug nut and tighten the guide with a set screw. Then the user can attach the drill bit onto an air drill to cutting edge out the seized lug nut.
BOLT REMOVAL TEMPLATE AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
Embodiments relate to a bolt removal template that can be used remove failed bolts from Doser Valve mounting bolt holes of a DEF fuel tank or other suitable bolt holes. The bolt removal template comprises a plate and an expandable flange. The plate can have a plurality of apertures. The plate can have a top and bottom. The flange can be positioned on the bottom of the plate and adjacent to one of the apertures.
BROKEN BOLT REMOVAL TEMPLATE FOR CYLINDER HEAD
Embodiments of the apparatus relate to a template used to assist in the removal of broken bolts from an intake manifold mounting fasteners. The apparatus includes a template having a plurality of apertures. When the template is used with a cylinder head, one or more of the apertures is designated as an insertion aperture and one or more of the apertures is designated as a connection apertures. Insertion apertures align with bolt holes of the cylinder head containing broken bolts, and connection apertures align with empty bolt holes of the cylinder head that may be used to secure the template to the cylinder head. The template is used to guide a drill bit or other tools through the insertion apertures as the drill bit or other tool performs work to remove a broken bolt within the cylinder head.
LOCK AND PIN COMBINATION FOR COLD WORKING CRACKS
A lock and pin for the structural and fluid tight repair of cracks not amenable to high temperature repairs or synthetic material patches. Fluid tight pins and locks seal the crack while one or more locks prevent the crack from growing. These repairs need to endure the remaining life cycle of the machinery part while withstanding all the strain, pressure, heat and expansion and contraction of the part before the crack(s) were formed. Often these cracks evolved due to engineering design flaws that will require even greater strength from these areas than when new.
Screw guide and related method of use
A fastener guide is provided including a base plate that engages a first board, a guide member that maintains an advancing fastener at a preselected offset angle relative to the first board, and a retainer clip that engages a second board that is transverse to the first board. The retainer clip includes first and second prongs that resiliently hold the guide in place as the fastener is advanced at the offset angle, optionally without manual input so that a user can manipulate the fastener and a driving tool instead of holding the guide to align the fastener. A related method of use is provided.

Modular fixture and system for rotor-bolt nut removal
The present disclosure is directed to a modular fixture for a rotor shaft assembly and a system for rotor-bolt nut removal. The modular fixture includes a plurality of arcuate plates that is annularly arranged about a common centerline. Each arcuate plate includes a plurality of jack legs that extends from and perpendicular to a bottom side surface of the respective arcuate plate of the plurality of arcuate plates. The system includes the modular fixture and a vertical drill. The vertical drill is connected to at least one arcuate plate of the plurality of arcuate plates. The vertical drill includes a vertically adjustable drive shaft and a bit that is connected to an end of the vertically adjustable drive shaft. In use, the bit cuts or turns a rotor-bolt nut or may core a rotor bolt of a rotor shaft assembly.
