POCKET HOLE JIG SYSTEM HAVING ANGLED STATIONARY UPRIGHT
In one or more arrangements, a pocket hole jig system having a stationary upright is presented. In one or more arrangements, the pocket hole jig system has a base, an upright assembly having a guide, a clamping assembly having a handle portion and a workpiece support member, and a drill guide assembly. In one or more arrangements, the guide of the upright assembly provides a path of travel for the drill guide assembly downward and forward towards the workpiece support member at an angle and upward and away from the workpiece support member at an angle, and wherein the workpiece support member is configured to move in a path parallel to the generally planar work surface of the upper surface of the base. In one or more arrangements, the workpiece support member is configured to travel a fixed distance between a fully disengaged position to a fully clamped position.
DRILL JIG SYSTEM
A drill jig system and methods of using the drill jig system for drilling a hole in a workpiece having a pilot hole formed therein are disclosed. According to an example, the drill jig system comprises a clamping device including a first clamp member and a second clamp member operable to clamp onto opposing sides of a workpiece. The drill jig system further comprises a drill guide device that defines a drilling axis. The drill jig system further comprises an alignment device removably received within a first opening in the first clamp member or the second clamp member. The alignment device includes a spring-biased alignment element that is biased toward the workpiece and into the pilot hole to align the drilling axis of the drill guide device with the pilot hole.
Drilling method, drilling jig, and heat exchanger
A drilling method for forming a plurality of through-holes in a plate member includes: a first step of fixing at least one jig, which has a clearance hole, on a bed of a machine tool; a second step of placing the plate member on the at least one jig and fixing the plate member on the bed; a third step of operating the machine tool so that a leading end portion of a drilling tool of the machine tool is inserted into the clearance hole, and forming a first through-hole at a position of the plate member corresponding to the clearance hole; a fourth step of passing a fixing member through the first through-hole, and fixing the plate member on the at least one jig using the fixing member; and a fifth step of operating the machine tool to form a second through-hole other than the first through-hole.
Jig assembly
A jig assembly (10) for location with respect to a first item of furniture, such as a door or drawer front, to which a second item of furniture, such as a handle, is to be secured. The jig assembly (10) comprises a first member in the form of first block (12) and a second member in the form of second block (14), the first block (12) and the second block (14) being configured to be coupled together by a spacer (16). The spacer (16) may comprise, may be identical to, or may correspond to, a handle (18) corresponding to that which is to be secured to the door or drawer front.
Blind hole locating systems, devices, and methods
Blind hole locating systems, devices, and methods are provided. A method includes installing a guide screw into a blind hole of a first material and assembling a drill guide apparatus, which includes removably coupling a drill guide to a guide strap and inserting a guide pin through a drill guide hole of the drill guide so that a length of the guide pin protrudes past the guide strap. The method also includes placing the drill guide apparatus on the first material so that a portion of a length of the guide pin protrudes into the guide screw, securing a portion of the guide strap to the first material, and removing the guide pin while the guide strap remains secured and placing a second material over the blind hole (including the guide screw in the blind hole) and between the guide strap and the first material.
POCKET HOLE JIG
A pocket hole jig includes a body with a base surface positionable against a workpiece, and a drill guide pivotally coupled to the body. The drill guide defines a guide axis such that a drill bit is insertable into the drill guide along the guide axis. The drill guide is pivotable relative to the body to adjust an inclination angle of the guide axis relative to the base surface.
Colleted bushing and method of use
A colleted bushing includes a collet and a bushing. The collet has a collet proximal end and a collet bore having collet threads. In addition, the collet has a collet bore taper located adjacent the collet proximal end, and a plurality of collet fingers located adjacent the collet proximal end and configured to be inserted into a workpiece hole of a workpiece. The bushing has a bushing proximal end, a bushing bore, a bushing outer surface, and bushing threads formed along a section of the bushing outer surface. The bushing is configured to be inserted into the collet bore and the bushing threads are configured to engage the collet threads in a manner resulting in movement of the bushing proximal end into contact with the collet bore taper causing the collet fingers to be urged radially outwardly and removably locking the collet within the workpiece hole.
POSITIONING DEVICE FOR DRILLING
A positioning device for drilling including a positioning base which is provided with a positioning through hole, and a plurality of clamping assemblies which are provided on the positioning base and circumferentially spaced round a central axis a, as center, of the positioning through hole. Each of the clamping assemblies includes an abutting part having an adjustable distance from a central axis of the positioning through hole.
Mini pocket hole jig system
A pocket hole jig system is formed of a plurality of jig segments, wherein each jig segment includes a main body having a drill guide and a lock feature that protrudes outward on a first side of the main body and a recess that protrudes inward on a second side of the main body. The system also includes one or more spacers that have a main body of varying width and a lock feature that protrudes outward on a first side of the main body and a recess that protrudes inward on a second side of the main body. Jig segments and spacers may be connected together by inserting the lock feature of a jig segment or spacer into the recess of an adjacent jig segment or spacer. In one arrangement opposing jig segments and/or spacers lock together with a combination of rotational movement as well as sliding movement.
DEVICE FOR ASSISTANCE IN DRILLING A BOARD
A device assists in drilling a board with a tool having a drill bit, means for rotatably driving the bit, and a guide memberhaving an outer face with a generally cylindrical shape of revolution about the bit's rotation axisfor guiding the bit in rotation and movement along the bit's longitudinal axis. The device has a rigid body with a flat sole (contact surface). Guide space(s) pass through the rigid body and open onto the sole. Each guide space is delimited laterally toward the outside by a cylindrical internal surface of revolution about a revolution axis orthogonal to the sole's main plane. The internal surface may interact with the guide member and guide the bit in rotation and longitudinal movement along the revolution axis. The internal surface has a radial expansion for stopping, in abutment therewith, the guide member during longitudinal movement of the tool toward the board.
