Head unit, stop holder and method for stabilizing a drilling machine

A head unit for a stop holder for a drilling machine for purposes of compensating for a height displacement between two adjacent components during the introduction and/or machining of a component hole. The stop holder has a front rest section for purposes of resting on the components. The rest section has an axial projection, which forms a second contact surface displaced relative to a first contact surface in the axial direction, i.e., the tool longitudinal direction. Also disclosed is a stop holder, and a method for compensating for a height displacement between two adjacent components during the introduction and/or machining of a component hole.

SELF-ADJUSTING POCKET HOLE JIG
20170087644 · 2017-03-30 ·

A pocket hole jig utilizes a pair of adjustable drill guides attached at the front of a movable carriage to enable self-adjustment in pocket hole placement over a range of workpiece thicknesses. The carriage is slidably received on an angled base member and may be moved toward or away from a vertical base member used to support wooden workpieces. A locking mechanism retains the carriage in its adjusted position. The pair of drill guides are adjustably positioned towards or away from one another and relative to the pocket hole jig axis of symmetry, locating the pair of pocket hole drilling locations.

The present invention generally relates to a metal sheet screw position template designed primarily for use with metal roofing and carports. Metal sheets are generally installed on a structure with screws. Location of those screws is important for proper fastening and the overall symmetrical appearance of installation. The invention provides a template that is placed on a standard metal sheet to locate the screw positions in a fast and symmetrical manner so as to speed the process of installation, while ensuring a very symmetrical screw pattern for the entire roof or carport.

CONCEALED HINGE BORING JIG

In one or more arrangements, a jig for cutting a pocket on a workpiece is presented, which has a base and a guide assembly. In one or more arrangements, the system includes a base having a bit aperture configured to allow a boring bit therethrough and a bit guide removably attached to the base. In one or more arrangements, the bit guide has a boring drill bit slidably located within a guide cylinder, a stop collar coupled to the boring bit, and a spring around the throat of the boring bit between a top spring surface of the guide cylinder and a bottom spring surface of the stop collar. In one or more arrangements, the spring is configured to urge the boring bit into a non-contact position with the workpiece.

A match drilling tool comprising a body comprising a drilling leg and a fixing leg, said drilling leg being separated from said fixing leg by a gap, wherein said drilling leg defines a cutter guide opening, and wherein said fixing leg defines an alignment pin opening, said alignment pin opening being concentric with said cutter guide opening; and an alignment pin slideably received in said alignment pin opening.

Centering device and fastening arrangement

A centering device for guiding a fastener or a drill during a setting operation. The centering device is arranged in or at a passage opening of a component, which forms a fastening point. The component can be a substantially flat metal part, in particular a lug or bracket for a faade element. The centering device is arranged at the plane of the back of the passage opening and includes a collar and connecting elements between the collar and the edge of the passage opening. The collar has a substantially flat to bead-like annular shape and is formed in the component. The central opening of the collar forms a centering seat for a fastener or drill during setting. A fastening arrangement has a component, centering device and matching screw. The screw forms a form fit via its lower head portion in the passage opening after completion of the setting process.
