Power tool apparatus and a method of use of the same
The current invention provides apparatus and a method for use with a drill bit to form a hole in a workpiece, said apparatus including a clamping means to clamp a workpiece in which the hole is to be formed in position with the apparatus, a drill bit holder assembly and drive means for rotating the drill bit and moving the same into the workpiece so as to drill the hole at a required angle and depth into the workpiece. Typically the depth of the hole is set in relation to the thickness of the workpiece which is clamped in position at that time and the apparatus includes a first part which is held by a first hand of the user and movable by the user with respect to a second part which is held by a second hand of the user and the relative movement is translated into movement of the drill bit holder to move the rotating drill bit into the workpiece.
TOOL HOLDER FOR A MACHINING TOOL WITH DEPTH-CONTROL STOP AND MACHINING DEVICE
The invention relates to a tool holder (2) for connecting a machining tool (4) having a depth-control stop (3) to a working spindle of a machine tool, having a spindle-side shaft part (6) and a receiving part (7) which supports the machining tool (4) and is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the shaft part (6). The receiving part (7) is axially displaceable in the tool feed direction via a compression spring arrangement (21), that is supported on the shaft part (6), counter to a fixed stop (17a) on the shaft part (6) and can be displaced away from the fixed stop (17a) on the shaft part (6) during the impact of the depth stop (3) on a workpiece against the spring force of the compression spring device (21).
CUTTING TOOL HAVING A DEPTH STOP
A cutting tool having a shank and a cutting head, wherein the shank carries a depth stop, which limits penetration depth into a workpiece, via at least one pivot bearing, and the depth stop is spring-preloaded away from the cutting head, via the at least one pivot bearing, against a shank-side stop.
Depth adjustment stopper for drill bit
The present invention relates to a depth adjustment stopper for a drill bit. The present invention enables easy workability during forming of a drilled groove having a fixed depth into a material by means of a drill bit. The depth adjustment stopper coupled to the drill bit is supported by means of the tension of a spring. Therefore, the depth adjustment stopper is prevented from shaking or being pushed.
MINI POCKET HOLE JIG SYSTEM
A pocket hole jig system is formed of a plurality of jig segments, wherein each jig segment includes a main body having a drill guide and a lock feature that protrudes outward on a first side of the main body and a recess that protrudes inward on a second side of the main body. The system also includes one or more spacers that have a main body of varying width and a lock feature that protrudes outward on a first side of the main body and a recess that protrudes inward on a second side of the main body. Jig segments and spacers may be connected together by inserting the lock feature of a jig segment or spacer into the recess of an adjacent jig segment or spacer. In one arrangement opposing jig segments and/or spacers lock together with a combination of rotational movement as well as sliding movement.
Dust extraction shroud for a power tool
A shroud for a dust extractor comprises: a body portion including a tubular housing forming a passageway and having a first and second inlets defining first and second openings; an engaging portion including a tubular housing forming a passageway, the tubular housing connecting to a third opening formed through a wall of the body portion to connect the passageway of the engaging portion with the passageway of the body portion on one end, and including a third inlet defining a fourth opening on another end; and a seal mounted in the second inlet of the body portion, the outer edge of the seal being attached to the periphery of the second inlet, the seal projecting radially inwardly towards the longitudinal axis of the tubular body.
DEPTH LIMITING DEVICE
A depth limiting device includes a braking structure; a limited shrinking structure, the limited shrinking structure including a part that surrounds a moving object and being in a home position or a compressed position; and a structure adapted for pushing the limited shrinking structure to the home position. The braking structure brakes the moving object such that the moving object moves together with the depth limiting device. When the moving object enters into a subject, the part of the limited shrinking structure is pressed against the subject, and the limited shrinking structure moves from the home position to the compressed position and stops the moving object from entering further into the subject.
Systems and devices for adjustable door closure control
Disclosed are systems and devices for controlling the closing of a door. A head unit is to be installed in a doorjamb, comprising a chamber filled at least in part with a shear thickening fluid. A piston is connected to a cap and configured to exert pressure against the shear thickening fluid in response to a force applied to the cap. The systems and devices provide an adjustable design that resists door slamming and aggressive closure, serving as a safety device as well as noise, damage and pet control around doors (preventing closure if desired). An install kit provides exact location, depth control and guide to place over the head unit to tap it into place with a hammer.
